They do an amazing job at Church Creek! There is absolutely nothing that they don't do well! Their sales team is amazing, and was so helpful throughout the whole move-in process. And they have a really excellent home health care service as well. All of people here, both the residents and the staff, seem very friendly and happy to be here. They are also very reasonably priced for what they provide, and there is no buy-in fee, it is strictly rent based. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking into senior living!
Review of Church Creek Alzheimer's / Memory Care in Arlington Heights, IL
Not impressed, they must be having issues with moisture carpets are coming up and not sure how the persons using walkers handle it, did like the storage closet next to every apartment.

Not near LGH but very nice place. They have a waitin list for studio but 1 bedroom may be an option
lobby looks nice, but the food, services, maintenance could be better
The independent living side appears nice, but the services are lacking. No one to acclimate your parent to anyone else. the cleaning isn't much. Clothes disappear from the laundry rooms. Staff is nice, when your parent actually has some medical issues, the angels people level of expertise is inconsistent. There is a lot of turnover. The front area has been grungy looking from all the time I've seen it, there is no real outdoor area except for where all the cars come and go with exhaust fumes. Don't consider the assisted living, as I a good place for care, as the staff there seem even worse. If your parent is a diabetic, don't expect any special menu choices from them. My mother's AC unit is not really working after I had them fix it twice.

Very nice, very long, and would require quite a bit of walking. The place seemed dark and the residents did not seem engaged.

So far, we really have nothing negetive to say! Our loved one LOVES the food! Whenever we visit, everything looks first class and nicely kept! The staff all seem very attentive and courteous! As for the activities, I hear that there is always something going on. The residents can't always participate, but they do offer the options. When we were exploring, this seemed to be the most reasonably priced option around here! Some of the others have a lot of ameneties and services rolled up into one big price, but this is more of an a la carte service, so if you don't need some services, you don't have to pay for them!

Very nice facility. Cares for their rents. Has good interactive programs. Unfortunately, showing its age. Newer properties units are more uptodate.
Skilled nursing was horrible
My mom was in the independent living and then skilled nursing, the independent living wasn't too bad, but the nursing place I wouldn't take a dog to.
You could walk in the door and my mom was just laying there all day, you could smell uring and they weren't checking on her. The food was terrible and she had to send the food back several times. There were so many times when the food was literally unedible and most of the times when she was sitting in the dining room and people would just complain about how bad the food was. I would be there 5-6 hours just to make sure that she got the basic things she needed and was taken to dinner. That place was terrible, I was having so many problems with them, I was just disgusted. My brother and sister had a meeting with them and absolutely nothing got accomplished from that. The independent living wasn't too bad but the skilled nursing was terrible. Somebody from medicare needs to investigate it because I think it's just one big scam.
Good But Big
I was good. It was more expensive and the building was a little bit larger. I liked the smaller places.
Offers High Care
It wasn't going to work for my mom because she is more independently functioning that a lot of the people there. They needed more help

Great place that deserves some serious consideration. It's much cheaper than the Heritage although the location isn't as pretty. There are 2 ponds and some nice walking paths so you would have access to nature. The building is huge and there is an indoor and outdoor walking club which my Mom thought was wonderful. She met one lady in the gym working out and they hit it off immediately. The bus is terrific--going to a variety of places in the community and residents can order a trip almost anywhere within a 10 mile radius (that could help with the lack of amenities within walking distance.) The rooms are a bit cheesy--total Brady Bunch decor with no plans to update. I was surprised by that. No ovens in the room but mom felt like she could live without that. They accept dogs. The health care is provided by outside company but they are on the premises.
