Customer Reviews

I toured this community and it was ridiculous. Basically all my other tours took me at least 15 min to 30 min this took 3 minutes. Basically this was a long hallway with little closets off to the side of the 1 hallway. And all that was in the room was a hospital bed. There was nothing to see. They had no dining room and had no activity room. I wouldn't put my worst enemy there even. Needless to say we went elsewhere.

This was a aweful place my mother was placed there due to insurance the place she was before this was awesome this is a trashed up warehouse where they are treated the worst the food is cold and looks like dog food smell is so bad this is going to be repaired to channel news station

Prospective Residents

[removed] The facility is trashed. The doors are damaged due to wheelchairs. The walls have chipped paint and rooms with exposed metal frames. There are wires exposed.

Convenient and Well Managed

The Wilshire Vista Manor is a great place. It is conveniently located and well managed. The staff is friendly, caring and professional. My loved one sleeps most of the time, so, I don't know exactly about their activities, but I am sure there is lots to do. Overall, I would recommend the Wilshire Vista Manor to others, as we are very happy with their services. Hope this helps.

Horrible place, stay away!!

Don't even think of bringing your loved ones here. They got new ownership 5 months ago. The head administrator, Tia, makes things look good but don't let your eyes be deceived. The care is minimal and negligent. [removed]. Food comes from the 99 cents store and portions are small. They feed residents dinner at 4:30 pm and give a cold cereal breakfast at 8:30 am the next day, nothing in between. Snacks are a joke. All the residents lose weight, unless they can stock their own food and actually get it for themselves. My mother starved here, down to less than 80 pounds. They're so severely understaffed that residents can't get their basic needs met. I could go on and on. This place should be shut down. All they care about is the money.

It was an experience. Now the administrator, Michelle, she didn't do anything but sit down and give orders to the people and she got in bad someplace and she ended up living in one of the rooms with her and her dog with all of those elderly people. I never saw the dog but I heard it all the time, so that was an experience. The need to change administrators but that's neither here nor there. She knew that he was a wanderer and she saw him leaving out of the door, she didn't attempt to stop him, she didn't have any of the nurses stop him and she told me the exact route that he took when he went out the door. I got a call when he was gone maybe an hour, they hadn't called the police yet so they called me and my daughter in law so we could look for him. I think one of the nurses finally called the police but they were over there a couple of times while he was here.

RATE: (-0) I was appalled at the condition and sight of the facility. Shared room had a bad order and when I mentioned it to the Caregiver she said like 'mold' I said exactly. The studio was across from the moldy room and it was messy unclean looking bed with old bedding banged up old dresser dingy walls. Very depressing. Furniture mismatched scratched up as if the pieces came from a bad yard sale.

Director seemed pushy to get him in. Unclear on whether they allow him out; said the doors are always open but the nurse said you have to have a key to get up and down the elevator that only staff has? no garden. Meals sounded ok and the activities were a bit lame
