Great facility!

After a bad accident in December, I was sent to this facility for 2 weeks for rehabilitation. During my short time in the facility, I was able to make friends and get to know the staff. When I was told I was going to a nursing home and rehab facility, I was nervous about going. I was surprised by the friends I made during my stay.
Wound care was excellent. I had surgery on my ankle and hand on my right side and the wound care nurse was awesome and faithfully checked to see how I was healing. She was kind and gentle.
Med nurses were always kind and willing to answer questions. I was really glad to find out I didn't have to take any of the medication for going to the restroom - haha! They give it out as part of normal procedure but I didn't need it and so when I told them I didn't need it, it was fine.
CNAs were fantastic. Dolores was my normal CNA during the day. She was kind even when I accidently would spray her with the shower wand every time I was bathed. I swear it happened every time! Priscilla was my usual at night and she was amazing. Always kind and attentive.
All the rest of the staff I came into contact with were wonderful EXCEPT their social worker. I came into contact with her 2 times during my stay and both times she almost got asked to leave my room and come back with a better attitude. Argumentive when verifying basic information such as emergency contact names/numbers and overall rude. I seen her again after I was walking again and she acted totally different. I don't know if it was coincidence that she was having bad days both times I seen her or what. Either way, her behavior was unacceptable.
Physical therapy was wonderful and you see the joy it brings the residents. It brings them out to not only to do OT/PT/ST but it gives them the opportunity to socialize with other residents. They made it fun and really encouraged the residents.
The food wasn't bad at all. I was really surprised because I thought I was going to be doomed to boring food for the next couple of weeks. I was wrong! Food was good and always hot. One cook in particular, he made home made ravioli and killer brisket. I would have married that man based off those 2 things lol
In short, this is an wonderful facility!

This facility was OK. They do have physical therapy also. However, the Patriot Heights impressed me more.
