About Laurelhurst House - Portland, OR

Laurelhurst House is an assisted living community with 38 studio apartment units averaging about 350 square feet each. We are located in the Mt. Tabor/Laurelhurst neighborhoods and are close to shopping and other conveniences.
Each apartment contains a large handicapped accessible bathroom and walk-in shower, closet space and kitchenette. An outside drip-irrigated window box receives seasonal plantings and residents are encouraged to participate in our unique Garden Views program.

Our residents are a broad cross section of ages from as young as 42 to as senior as 95. Most are fairly independent and also receive some additional assistance from our caring staff. Included in our monthly rent are all utilities including cable TV, three meals per day in our main dining room, weekly housekeeping including linens and personal laundry, regularly scheduled activities and outings, scheduling of transportation to and from doctor appointments, 24-hour staffing and on-call nurse availability. Each resident receives a wireless emergency call button that can be worn and used to alert staff if assistance is needed.

Our common areas include a large activity room with balcony, private sanctuary, library and reading areas, beauty salon, resident washer and dryers, and private dining room. We also are neighbors to an adjoining community coffee shop located in a portion of the building that serves the public, residents and families alike.
