Customer Reviews

Very nice. It seems like my Dad would like it. [Name removed] is great. The receptionist was very pleasant. The faculty was very clean.

Very clean; helpful and friendly staff

Great and beautiful facility.

My parents have been here about 2 months now. Mom is in the memory care building and Dad is in an assisted living building. The best thing for us for this facility is that they can be in the same place, but their own level of care buildings with people of their own capability level. Dad can spend as much time with Mom as he wants. The facility is always very clean, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and caring. Communication has been great. Very important, as we live out of town. They go all out on activities, and make sure that my parents are included even when we can't be there. Can't wait for spring when my parents can utilize the beautiful grounds and their private atriums.

Foxbridge Memory Care

My mother has been here close to an year. I cannot say enough good things about Foxbridge. The staff is very good with the resident in keeping them well cared for. Her room and the other areas are always clean. The Activity Director is awesome and is always planning fun things for them to do. My mother has really thrived since moving in.

Very Good Community

Our experience with Foxbridge has been very good so far. The staff has been really personable, which is so important to me. They are always available to answer my questions or accommodate our needs. There are so many comforts here for the residents, and I have absolutely no worries about my loved one being here and getting the care he needs.

Things are going well

The staff are very very attentive and patient. They listened and made sure my loved one was receiving the care they needed. The food is good. They offer a monthly calendar of activities including family gatherings. The community is clean and the grounds are beautiful. There is a pond the residents are able to sit by. The community is like little cottages and I would recommend this community.

Community Was Nice

I really liked the way this community was setup they had individual cottages which I thought was more homelike. The one thing that we didn't like was that the temperature control was only for the main living area; they didn't have a control for every single bedroom. We thought the staff was friendly and very informative. The location was very serene.

Good Experience Overall

I had a nice tour of this community. Everything went well, and everyone was kind. From what I was shown the community looked nice, and everything was clean, and well maintained. The staff was helpful, and friendly. They were informative, and my questions were answered. It was a good experience overall.

Highly Recommended!

We are very pleased with my mom's stay so far! The staff and facility are great! She enjoys getting out and walking, socializing with other residents and participating in activities. We would highly recommend this facility!

A god tour!

Foxbridge Assisted Living was a nice place. The reason we did not choose them was because they could not accommodate my loved one's level of care. It was not the best fit for him.

Foxbridge is the BOMB!

The set up from cottage to cottage is easy to remember. There are no long hallways that feel like a hospital. The staff is fun, and kind, and understanding. When we sat down, and found out all that is included, and what kind of activities they had there for our loved one. Honestly, we were afraid to ask the price. However, it floored us that it was so affordable!
Everyday we show up, we are treated like family. The care given to our loved one on good, and bad days is just outstanding! There are no feelings of being in a ward, or trapped/locked in. They have a pond. At anytime they can go walking (which is supervised), and go feed the ducks/fish at the pond. I have visited many facilities. This is the best one I have found for our loved one. They watch out for him, but at the same time, he keeps his independence, freedom, and dignity.
As we looked, my husband and I, would ask ourselves the question 'Would we want to live here?'. Foxbridge was a resounding 'YES!'. Even my kids enjoy visiting, and love being a part of the little community that has been established at Foxbridge.
This place was an answer to prayers.

A nice clean community!

The staff I met during our tour were nice. The food was ok. They have 6 different buildings and the food is cooked in one of the buildings and then brought over so it was not very hot. They do offer a lot of outings for the residents. This community was not very bright.

Thank you so much for visiting Foxbridge and taking time to write a review about your experience. I am always listening! I am happy you had an opportunity to interact with our staff. I am proud to have dedicated, caring team members who love their jobs! Our residents are some of the most active you will find in a senior community. Our residents participate in a variety of activities and outings every month based on residents’ interests and requests. I am sorry you had a bad experience when you joined us for a meal. I can understand why you were disappointed with your food. We will investigate our food delivery process to ensure it does not happen again. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.”

Not Returning My Phone Calls

My relative became aggressive and did not fit into the community so he was asked not to stay any longer. The staff did not seem to like residents that are out of the norm and seemed to not try to maintain his dementia. I have not been able to get any of my calls returned. Otherwise I am sure he was feed well and was living in a clean environment. I appreciate Susan, from A Place For Mom, for helping find new arrangements.

My daughter and I had a very enlightening tour of the facility and we were happy to learn that the home like atmosphere seemed to be quite relaxing and the grounds are wonderful for walking and just sitting with the ponds around. There is an opportunity to fish or sit and think. The single room is a wonderful idea with the opportunity to personalize it to your home surroundingsThe breakfast experience is at ones leisure and own time .When the time comes we would surely consider Foxbridge at the top of our list.

Foxbridge Assisted Living

Very disappointed

My mother was at Foxbridge for not quite a year. The first couple of months all appeared good. Things started going downhill very quickly. Mom was misplaced in the incorrect level of care. She got around and could do for herself pretty much. The building she was placed in had residents that were mostly in wheel chairs and did almost nothing besides sit in the community room and sleep. The residents had daily menus and there was always an alternate choice, however they rarely received all items listed on the menu and if they did not eat what was placed in front of them they were NOT given the alternate meal nor were they even asked, they simply left the table hungry. Mom had problems getting her mail. I ordered her subscriptions to Southern Living and Good Housekeeping but she rarely received them. I would normally have to literally check with all attendants only to be told " no she didn't have mail" But when I insisted they look well a few times it was stuck in a drawer at the mail desk in her building. Most of these magazines now come wrapped in a plastic cover, yet hers never had one ... ( I got the same magazines at my home and mine arrived on time and wrapped each month) her should have also. It's a shame paying good money ( on the high end at that) and you entrust your loved one to their care, wanting the best for , in my case my mom, only to find what they provided was much less than or non-existence services that Foxbridge agreed and promised to deliver as part of her care program. I paid them a hefty sum each month to provide the high level of care for mom that I was promised she would receive in exchange for these funds. Sadly that is not what we received at Foxbridge. When families entrust our loved ones to facilities such as this, that "specialize" in the care needed by the elderly we do so because they promise to look after and care for them as they would a member of their own family. It's heartbreaking to find only empty promises and you beat yourself up because you placed your love one into that environment. I would only give this place a 2 star rating and that is only because the grounds offer a peaceful setting with a pond and greenery. A relaxing setting and the staff for the mist part are friendly.

Nice place, overall

Overall, I think Foxbridge Assisted Living is a nice place. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and the staff is friendly. My one complaint would be that although the aide staff is friendly, I think they could be a little more proactive when it comes to helping out the residents.

Thanks for making Mom feel at home

Mom has been at Foxbridge for a little over 2 months now. She is happier now and loves the pond. The staff is great! Thanks for all you are doing to make Mom feel at home. She had a great birthday party today!

My best friends mother was a patient there until [removed] - I am appalled at the horrid quality this dear sweet dignified lady received at Foxbridge Assisted living. I would not put my dog in your care!! Shame on you!!

Not what we were promised

Have not been happy with our choice. The window in Mom's room leaks every time it rains. The ac has not been working well since she moved in. Whoever cleans hasn't done a good job so far. The nurses are great and most of the attendees are great.

Very Satisfied Overall

Overall I have been very satisfied with it. I am satisfied with the level of care my loved one is getting, she is happy there. She is going through a period of adjustment and she now feels like it's home and she likes it. The only complaint seems to be lack of communication and follow-up, but other than that everyone is nice and friendly and helpful.

1/31/15 - Met with Kristy Barton and toured the facility. Kristy was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Liked the fact that they offer different levels of care and group patients with similar issues within the same area. Also liked the fact that a geriatric nurse practitioner is on staff to monitor vital signs, check for UTI's, and symptoms that mimic dementia. Seemed to be a strong focus on mediation monitoring to reduce issues with drug sensitivities or ineffectiveness. The 1 BR is adequate size - cottages have open concept/common living spaces, kitchen and dining areas.

I like the facility overall

I do like the facility but they did a wrong evaluation. We basically had to move in the month to another part of the building. I told them all that she would need but they sent someone to the house to evaluate her. And they decided she needed less care than what I had told them. She was not getting the care she needed. So we were told that she would need to be moved to another level of the building. I was a little disappointed in that ordeal. It does seem to be getting better.

Kristy Barton

Local Representative

Thank you for taking time to submit your comments. I'm sorry you were disappointed that your loved one had to be moved to a higher level of care soon after moving to Foxbridge. Our Wellness Department conducts an initial assessment on potential residents prior to their move to Foxbridge, and makes every effort to place residents in the appropriate level of care upon move-in. An assessment is a fact finding tool used to learn more about a person's care needs. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to get a complete understanding of a person during the hour long assessment. Sometimes when a person is assessed in their own home or a very familiar environment, they may present themselves as being more able to care for their daily needs. When a resident moves to Foxbridge and is being observed 24 hours a day, it may become evident that they need a different level of care than originally believed. Our staff discusses needs with the family, and the resident is then moved to the cottage providing the appropriate level of assistance. We understand change can be difficult, and we make every effort to minimize the disruption. We're so happy to hear your loved one is doing well now. We appreciate your comments which help us in our efforts to provide the highest level of care to our residents.
Sincerely,
Kristy Barton

They are great!

They are great! I am very grateful for Foxbridge Assisted Living & Memory Care. I love the staff and the young people they have there. It has been a blessing, and i would highly recommend them.

The only small reservation I have about the entire process is this: The tracking of possessions is less than wonderful. We lost a wheelchair somewhere in the deal. I am not sure how you fix that issue in a place where people are often wonder around. I wish there was a way to keep track of possessions so that didn't happen.

Other than that it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Foxbridge Assisted Living & Memory Care!

Kristy Barton

Local Representative

Thank you for letting us know how happy you are. It's very rewarding for our caregivers to know that you're pleased with the excellent care they provide your loved one!

We work very hard to keep track of our residents' possessions. As you mentioned, this is sometimes difficult when caring for residents with memory challenges. Please speak with the House Manager and/or the Director of Nursing about your concerns so any missing items can be located and returned to you as soon as possible.

Nice place overall, a few areas they could improve

Overall I think they've done well at Foxbridge Assisted Living, and are doing a good job taking care of my loved one. With one exception the staff have all been wonderful to work with. You couldn't ask for a nicer bunch of caregivers, and the gentleman who runs things at night is very nice. We have had a few issues with the "house manager", her lack of attention to detail doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Another thing I'd like to see them do a bit better would be to have a larger variety of activities. But overall we're pleased with this place, and would recommend it to others.

Please speak with our Activities Staff regarding specific activities you're loved one would be interested in. We endeavor to provide a variety of fun and interesting activities at Foxbridge and in the community, and would love our families to share ideas!

This is actually premature, as we have not moved our mother into Foxbridge yet. She had a minor stroke a week and a half ago, spent a week in the hospital, and is now at King's Daughters and Son's rehab facility. The marks I gave above for Foxbridge, is only based on mine, and my brothers, visits there so far. But it is still in our long term plan, to use Foxbridge.

Not a good fit

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for our loved one. We didn't really like the look of this one, it would not have been a good fit for our loved one. It was a larger community, and getting to activities or meals would require walking between different buildings, which we thought would be hard on someone with memory issues.

Kristy Barton

Local Representative

Dear BD,
Thank you for visiting Foxbridge, and for taking time to share your thoughts. I'm so sorry there was a misunderstanding during your tour, but I appreciate the opportunity to clarify! Each of our 5 one level buildings has its own dining room, living room and activities area, and residents don't have to leave their buildings unless they'd like to go for a walk around our 8 acre property or visit with other residents across the community. Our staff welcomes the opportunity to accompany our residents on leisurely strolls around the property and to our lake to fish or feed the geese! We also use our wheelchair accessible van for residents who prefer to ride to different buildings for visits or activities.

Nice place

My loved one has been here a few months, and so far everything has been good overall. It's a nice looking facility, and the staff are all friendly and professional. They do a good job here

Beautiful grounds, and friendly staff

We toured this location when we were looking into care options for our loved one. This was not the location we ended up selecting, but I did like what I saw here. The grounds themselves were beautiful, it was located next to a lake, and it appeared to have a lot more potential for outdoor activities than the other communities I toured. I also like how the facility was arranged, with the residents being organized into separate "pods" of those with similar care needs. The drawback to this was that there didn't seem to be much interaction between the "pods" which limited the social options to just those with similar care levels. I only met the one staff member who gave me the tour, but she was very friendly and helpful.

Kristy Barton

Thank you for your wonderful review of Foxbridge! We are so grateful you took time to share your thoughts with others. Our unique eight acre property is a "hidden gem" in which residents enjoy strolling our walking paths, watching wildlife and fishing in our lake, and outdoor activities like barbecues. Please know that activities are not limited to the residents living in a particular cottage...All Foxbridge residents are encouraged to participate in activities across the property. Think of Foxbridge as a neighborhood, with residents visiting each other in their homes.
Thanks again for the wonderful review!

Foxbrige

All the staff is very friendly and take very good care of my father. The food is tasty and there is plenty for my father to eat. The grounds, however, need a bit of renovations and care. Potholes galore. I would recommend Foxbridge.

Assisted Living

From what I remember, Foxbridge could have been an option for us as well. It was more on the assisted living side and it wasn't as new as some of the other places we were looking at so that's why we didn't choose them.

Foxbridge Assisted Living

We are so happy with Foxbridge and the assisted living they provide for our parents. It's a beautiful place with paved walkways meandering through the campus and around a lake. You can tell that the staff is carefully chosen in that ALL have a positive & cheerful disposition and put the residents first. Our parents were so reluctant to leave their home, but Foxbridge staff has made that transition go very well for them. They are able to live independently and can request assistance as they need it.

EXCELLENT CARE

I love Foxbridge and my husband is adjusting well.

For the most part it is very nice

For the most part Foxbridge is very nice. Although the residents with dementia have no independence and are put to bed by 8pm. Their level of care at times can be frustrating, but I have experienced worse care at another facility. Donna, the director, is new to the property and she is trying to make a difference. I think the meals could be better. Foxbridge has four buildings; the Oak building is for assisted living residence, the Pine building is for assisted living and the beginning stages of dementia, Spruce is for residents with later stages of dementia, and the Magnolia building is for residents in the poorest health. Most of my experience has been with the Spruce building. The staff is very friendly but they have to arrange resident's medication schedules around their own schedules. For example if a medicine is directed to be given on or after 8pm in the Spruce building the medicine is administered at 7pm when the nurses are readying the residents for bed. I do not agree with this method, but the nurses have to follow a schedule so they can be at the next building to administer medications. Foxbridge, like other facilities, is understaffed. Some of the residents in the Spruce building look bored, there are no activities for them to help slow the progression of dementia. Sometimes housekeeping can be inconsistent as well. But for the most part they take care of their residents and all the residents here seem happy. This place is much better than where mom was previously.
