Customer Reviews

Daughter of a former resident

My mother lived at Balfour Retirement Community for the past 7 years and this is the best assisted living community in Colorado. The staff care about all the residents and treat them with the utmost respect and dignity. The management team is ultimately hands on when it comes to caring for the residents. Family members are treated great and Balfour Retirement Community is worth what they charge. The amenities are beautiful.

Son of former residents

Wonderful Senior Living Community. I have had 2 family members living at Balfour Retirement Community and they both received excellent care. The Executive Director and his team are the most caring, compassionate and kind hearted individuals. I would highly recommend this skilled nursing and assisted living community for your loved one.

Not a caring community

The place may look good but the community lacks a lot.
Overpaid managers at every level the current director does not care for his residents or employees. Its all about the bonuses they make.

Mom is In Good Hands

This is a safe, good community, and my mother is doing very well since her move here. I know she is in good hands, the staff is great. They are taking good care of her, and her needs. The community, and her room are nice, and clean when I visit. They provide good meals, and nice activities offer for the residents. I would highly recommend this community, it is working out well for my family.

Great fit!

We found this to be a great fit for my loved one! Though the facility is a bit pricey, the staff do a great job at taking care of her and giving her the medicine and care that she needs. I am pleased with her stay!

My tour

I liked this community when we visited. It is beautiful and they offer some great amenities. The community is clean and the people I met were nice. This community was just a little more expensive that what we were looking for.

Steer Clear of Balfour

We were very happy with Balfour when my parents moved into Independent Living over 3 years ago. Then the changes came, a percentage was sold to a Corporation. Staff that had
been with Balfour from the beginning left. The food has completely gone down hill with few items being made from scratch. And worst of all, an unwilling and unqualified management not responding to complaints.
I would steer clear of Balfour.

Be Prepared For A lot Of Paper Work

I am very impressed with this community and everything they have done for my mother and me. The staff is wonderful at all levels and stays in close communication with our family to give us important updates. They also really take the time to understand your loved one needs. I would say be prepared for a good amount of paperwork on the front end but it's for a good reason and that is to build a profile on your loved one's and understand their needs better. The facility is great; it is always clean when I go to visit. The activities are diverse and fun and the food is good quality with a menu of many options. They are caring for my mother very well and I would highly recommend this community.

Find a different place!!

They are all about the money they can make. Promised us a different type of apartment but did not have when we arrived. They say ANYTHING TO GET YOUR DEPOSIT! We settled for a temporary style room. 6 months later they STILL didn't have our apartment type, When they finally did, they charged us $2500 to transfer! We finally moved out but they charged us 2 extra months rent after we left.
They charge extra for every little thing. We paid for internet but our room was too far from the router to get service. They never fixed it! DISGUSTED WITH OVERALL EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Food is good. But 2 of us couldn't eat all meals each month for the excessive prices they charged for meal plans

Nice place

This seems like a nice place to for elderly people. It is clean and clean smelling, the entire staff including the administration is nice, and the food is very good. I was surprised. Overall, very pleased.

This is the best place my Mom visited.

Nice place, overall

I think they do a good job overall at Balfour. The facility itself is very nice, and the staff are all very friendly. This location didn't quite work out for me, but I like Balfour enough that I am moving to another community of theirs in an area I know better.

This is the country club of assisted living, it's pretty upscale and very nice.

This is the country club of assisted living, it's pretty upscale and very nice. It's also country club pricing. It is a beautiful community.

Great Skilled Nursing Care

Their skilled nursing, I thought, was really good but I realized that he was just getting weaker and more and more dependent on them and he was not in a good mood there. I think it's a super good program but it was not the place my husband needed to be.

Beautiful property but a little expen...

Beautiful property but a little expensive.
