Customer Reviews

Small and intimate, studio is nice, no 1 BR available currently. Very professional and friendly staff. Good interaction with residents.

Awesome Mom and Daughter Duo: [names removed]

My mother [name removed], has been at Atria Park San Pablo Life Guidance for 10+ years. During that time we have been blessed with two of the most caring and compassionate individuals....[Name removed] and [name removed], a mother/daughter duo. We have gone though transitions, illness, and even hurricanes with them! I don't think we would have made it through it all without their never ending positive spirit. Words cannot express how thankful we are to have them in our lives. [Name removed], [name removed] and [name removed]

Stay away if you have any self-esteem and dignity

It may be fine for assisted living, but not so good for memory care recipients.ey

Personal items were lost and no one seemed concerned. It's a locked facility, how can things just disappear? Staff was nice enough, but didn't seem to make much of an effort to ensure residents were attending meals or having an opportunity to participate in activities outside of the memory care unit, which I was told they would. All levels of dementia patients were housed together, leading to some extremely loud and upsetting disturbances. Lots of little things I had expected them to deal with, but they didn't, leaving me to wonder why I was paying so much for "care".

Thank you for bringing your family member’s experience to our attention. Will you share your contact information and name with me at [removed]? We would like to connect you with our leadership team to help you.

We took our mother there to just look at an assisted living facilitiy. It was more than she ever expected. The stafff were all very friendly and introduced her to some clients living at the facility. Her room was larger than expected but not furnished, so we will have to go shopping. There seemed to be activities everyday and both the staff and the clients seemed happy. It had a very positive vibe about it. I think she is going to like her new home there and we are very close to her now- just 5 miles away. It’s perfect.

Interesting Tour

We had a very interesting tour the staff took their time showing us around and they answered any and all questions that we had. The community is very nice and they do have a lot of amenities for their residents. At this point, we feel that our mom does not need quite the level of assisted care that they offer. I would surely recommend this community.

The staff member I met with was very helpful and knowledgeable. The staff that I met were all friendly and seemed to be happy working there.

GREAT PLACE (:

Toured, looked very nice

I toured this community while looking into respite care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

Jennifer thanks for all your help. Ayria was a waht we need. the are very accomidating

A Very Good Community

They are going through a change of personnel, including a new director. Overall this is a good community. The food is wonderful and of restaurant quality. It is plentiful, well balanced and there are 2 choices. I like the idea that they show the residents in memory care what their choices are. They have a wait staff and the dining procedure is very well organized. They don't have an alarm system in case a resident falls or gets out of bed. They do have a caring and well qualified staff to attend to residents' needs. Some areas that do need improvement are the activities available for men, and the communications between marketing and administration. It seems that most activities are geared toward women and a movie or games for men would be appreciated. The marketing staff will tell you something to prompt you to move in, then the administration staff will change whatever they need to.

We have decided that the Atria is THE place for my parents. The size is perfect! The staff is very involved and attentive. And, the residents seem happy there.

Atria San Pablo

We have only been there a week, but my mom loves the Atria San Pablo. The facility is smaller than some of the other communities in the area, and has a homey feel. The staff are very kind and friendly. The other residents have gone out of their way to make mom feel at home, and have all of them have helped her in her tranisition after the death of my stepfather and the move from her home. I greatly appreciate the transportation assistance to dialysis. I've had about four meals at the facility and they have been tasty. I think we are here to stay.

Good experience!

Good experience!

It's Wonderful

It’s wonderful. It really have not have not had any issues. It’s smaller, but I like that. The activities are very good. Amy seems to keep something going on all the time. The one thing is … I sometimes would like it be a little bit more personal and a little bit more time.

Atria San Pablo

Extremely pleased with Atria San Pablo. We can't sing their praises enough!

Thanks, A Place for Mom.

Good Family Communication

She is doing pretty well, she is kind of borderline in the memory care. Her doctor says no doubt about it that she has to be in memory care. Unfortunately, she is one of the higher functioning ones and she thinks that they are all crazy and waiting to die. They look after her very well, but it seems like she falls in an awkward group right now; she still has enough of her cognitive functioning, and she needs a little more stimulation than is really available there. They definitely looked after her better, and it's a locked unit, which is what we needed. I really am pretty pleased. They are good about informing us with everything.

Good Staff

The only issue that I have is communications issues but that is being worked out. I chose the initially because of the close proximity to where I live. Additionally, we looked at couple of other places, and we liked the attitude of the staff better.

Just Not For Them

My former in-law didn't like that one at all. From the very beginning and individually of each other, they did not have a good feel for it. I don't think it was anything they could put their finger on, they just didn't like it. I think it was because it seemed kind of isolated from anything. It wasn't around anything thriving. It's a small facility too.

Expensive

It was good. There were a lot of good things about it. My mother moved out mostly because of the expense.

Excellent Personalized Care

My wife has been a resident in the "Life Guidance / Memory Care" unit at Atria San Pablo for the past 16 months. The care is excellent. The staff is very responsive to her needs and accommodating, to the famiily. The Director of the facility is hands-on and welcomes feedback, suggestions and recommendations from family members. Everything is done "first class".
There are many planned activities and special events for residents and family to participate in.
The staff's dedication to the residents they care for is obvious. They do a great job.
