Customer Reviews

A comfortable place to be

Willow Park is a clean and comfortable community with adequate amenities and activities. The staff is friendly and eager to resolve concerns and answer questions.
The care is quite professional and accommodating to work with. The medication dispensing system stays up to date.
The meals appear well balanced, unless you may a vegetarian, and that was noted during the interview sessions, which at that time was not going to be an issue. However that issue can use some consideration.
I feel comfortable with a family member living there and I am treated very respectfully if I have concerns, I highly recommend Willow Park.

Warm and inviting. [Name removed] was very knowledgeable about challenges seniors face and what the progression of dementia looks like and how to successfully go about transitioning our family member out of their home situation. Comfortable with medical staffing, liked the Bridges program for engaging assisted living residents with memory care group. Restaurant menu, lots of activites. Centrally located for us. Nice patio area, library and theater room.

Great Stay

My mom was in respite care here for about 3 weeks and it was great. We liked the brightness of everything and the wide hallways. The food seemed good and everyone was pleasant to deal with. The place was beautiful and clean. I would recommend this to other families.

Best facility in the area!

This facility is wonderful and hands down the best in the area. They have independent, assisted living, and memory care all in one building and facilitate that very well. The services and medical care they offer are exemplary and excellent. The main reason why I chose this for my loved ones is because it doesn’t feel like a hospital setting and it’s like home. For activities, they offer things like live entertainment, movies, games, bingo, and a book club. Food, room cleaning, and laundry are included in the rent. Without a doubt I would recommend this facility to other families.

Shared Rooms

I toured here for my loved one, and knew very quickly that it was not going to be a good fit for us. Willow Park wanted a huge amount of money for a shared room with only a curtain between the two residents. I wanted privacy for my loved one, so I knew right away that we could not go to Willow.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience with us. We regret to hear we were not a good fit for your loved one. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

Mom is Happy

The staff here are phenomenal. We had an immediate connection to all the people we talked with. And we know people who has had family members here and they raved about them. The staff is long term there isn't a high turnover which made us comfortable. They have daily activities and little outings get planned. The conditions are very nice. I would recommend this community.

Could of been

I toured this community and it was nice and clean. The halls were big and spacious. The staff was helpful with my questions. I even meet the chef here and she made a repore with me immediately. There were no vacancies and that's why I'm not here and had to go with another community.

Mom's Care and Comfort

The care here at this community at is outstanding. We like the caring staff who keep us informed on any changes. The community has a nice atmosphere and is very clean. I feel good knowing that the menu of healthy meals is available. The activities that are offered are very helpful to my mom and that is something we like. We would highly recommend this community for the care of a loved one.

I Saw It Was Not A Fit

Based on my tour they were fine. However I just didn't getting a good feeling for a match. It looked clean. The staff were all nice and good at what they were doing. Everybody was happy when I walked through. The number of people, the layout, and the dining experience was not a good match for my mom.

Assisted Living and Memory Care Experience

Mom has been a resident of the Syringa Memory Care unit of Willow Park for 3 1/2 years now. Very pleased with the medical oversight provided to all residents as well as solid recommendations for additional services such as physical therapy, speech therapy, etc. [Removed] is an outstanding nurse, always completely focused on the well being of those in his care and it shows. [Removed] does an amazing job lining up stimulating, fun activities to meet the needs of all residents, regardless of their abilities. The kitchen routinely turns out nutritious, home cooked meals and provided numerous special dining occasions for every holiday. Food quality is top notch. My mom's quality of life has increased immeasurably. She is always clean, well dressed and I've witnessed how much she enjoys the wide variety of activities and outings. She has gone from living alone and rarely going out to a very active life with great friends. The staff has truly enriched her life and provided me with great peace of mind. This is my second experience, also having had my mother in law in the assisted living area until her passing. Such a great feeling knowing your loved one is surrounded by such loving people and capable staff. Thank you Willow Park.

Wonderful Caregivers. My dad is happy!

Willow Park is a nice facility, and the caregivers are professional, loving, and attentive. The Health Services Director and his nursing associates are amazing. The support staff, including laundry, housekeeping, maintenance and van driver are all very caring, friendly, helpful and kind.

Cute layout!

At the Willow Park, I really liked the cottages, they were like little houses. When we went, they had nothing available at the time, though. Also, I did not care for the assisted living side. The place they showed us was not what we were looking for.

Good experience

We had a good experience and the staff was helpful in helping us adjust and settle in. We give the location, facilities and staff a high rating all around.

Loving Care Facility

Finding Willow Park has been a blessing. Truly a care facility.
All the care givers have been kind gentile with my parents. After the passing of my mother, my father had to move into memory care, the staff suggested we use there bridges program to help with the transition, it was seamless and smooth. I can't say enough about everyone at Willow Park.
They have helped at every turn with my parents and family.

Top-notch community

As a care manger, social worker and daughter of a senior, I would recommend Willow Park to anyone looking for a full-service independent, assisted and memory care facility. They offer stimulating activities, attentive care; delicious meals; and transportation to community events and medical appointments. Their admissions process is attentive, low-key and low-pressure. Awesome people!

Great place to call home!

I have been working in Home Health and Hospice for the past 12 years in the Treasure Valley. I highly recommend Willow Park to my Families that need a great place to live. Willow Park has a friendly atmosphere that helps everyone feel welcome when they walk into the community. You must check it out if you have a loved one that needs Assisted Living or Memory Care. Amazing food!!

Willow Park is Awesome

My stay at Willow Park has been great, the staff are friendly, nursing is attentive, the food is good, everyone has been SUPER!!! [Removed] and [Removed] the nurses here have been a good sounding board for me, always able to answer my questions, both courteous and friendly. The front desk staff always able to help me with my phone or television. Enjoyed the many activities. I like everything about Willow Park.

Amazing Loving Staff

My father and law and mother in law moved to Willow Park. They were amazing taking care of them!!! My father in law passed away in June. Even though he was very stubborn the staff saw his good side. They treated him with respect and love.

Now my mother in law in there. The staff have ALL been wonderful to her!!!!

They have been life savers for us!!!! I want to move there!

Compassionate and loving staff!

We moved our in laws into Willow Park almost a year ago! Wow, we had no idea how impressed we would be. The staff is so amazing. The employees are not just "working" there but are like family to all of us. Each of them takes special care to connect and love on each resident. We feel so blessed that we chose Willow Park as a home away from home for my in laws! Cannot recommend this place enough! So compassionate and above and beyond our expectations!

Outstanding Assisted Living Facility

I cannot say enough positive things about Willow Park Assisted Living. My mother lived here for 16 months, and the care she received was outstanding. Patient and kind caregivers, great activities, clean and beautiful facility and committed staff I spent a lot of time at Willow Park with my mom and saw the care others received-Very genuine and caring staff ,and I knew my mom was in a safe and loving environment. I highly recommend this facility!

Ahhh....I'm home.....

Each time I enter Willow Park I am greeted with friendliness and a willingness to assist me and meet my needs. The staff no matter their role is happy, outgoing, attentive, and exhibit a genuine desire to help families make tough decisions for their loved ones and always provide a home-like atmosphere. Willow Park is clean and inviting inside. They pay close attention to detail and will make every effort and more to answer questions and provide excellent service. It is worth the trip to check it out!!

Amazing facility with AMAZING staff

I work in healthcare and visit multiple hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities on a daily basis. I've been in the industry for 8 years and over that time have realized the facilities in the Boise area that I would feel comfortable with my mom there and facilities that in no way would I ever let any family member spend any time at. Willow Park is on the top of my list for the "Approved for Mom" list! It is one of the cleanest and organized assisted living facilities that I ever go to. The Clinical staff is amazing and always educating themselves on the latest and greatest way to assist and take care of residents. The inside of the building is very up to date (you would be surprised how many are not) and has a very comfortable, warm, home feeling to it. I don't think I have ever noticed anything but smiles on every resident when I'm there. And if they aren't smiling, someone on the staff does everything they can to change that quickly. Like I said I see just about every facility in the Treasure Valley. Because of that I have a list of about 5 places that I would feel comfortable my mom being a resident at. Of the 5, Willow Park is number one on that list! Take a look. I don't think you would be disappointed!

We Love Willow Park Assisted Living

Our family absolutely loves Willow Park Assisted Living and all that it offers. Our grandmother lived there 2005-2008 until her passing. Our mother has lived there since 2011 and amazing that most of the staff who took care of grandma are still there and helping care for our mother! From [Removed] who gives tours and is a wealth of knowledge in elder care, to [Removed], [Removed], & [Removed] at the front desk, [Removed] in the personal cares department, [Removed] in outreach, nursing staff [Removed], [Removed], [Removed], [Removed], [Removed], the dining hall staff, [Removed] in activities, [Removed] and the bus drivers, [Removed] & [Removed] in maintenance, [removed] in finances, [Removed] in cares, [Removed] director, and so many others - everyone just really makes our family feel at home and we know that our mother is getting the best care and they all love on her. They treat their clients at Willow Park as if it was their loved one living there. Thank you for making our mother happy and giving us all peace of mind knowing she is well taken care of.

The place is lovely and personnel is positive and first rate!

The personnel at Willow Park are so outstanding and my family was so grateful we found the place for our mother. We had a challenge going into the process and Mary stepped up and saved the day with everyone following right behind to provide a smooth transition. It is a lovely facility with positive attitudes. It makes a big difference when dealing with a difficult situation. Mom really likes the place and everyone there, so we are hopeful she will consider it home soon.

Love this company!

Willow Park has been an amazing place to work for the last two years. The team is compassionate and friendly. I get to see true examples of compassion demonstrated every day to the residents. The team is always ready to trouble shoot together when a resident may be going through a difficult time. My favorite part of this company is the ability to go above and beyond just the care portion. There is a full time position here that is dedicated to uplifting the spirit of each resident and creating events called "wow" moments where we get to make an individual resident's heart sing!

I was pleased with my visit with Mary and the tour she gave. In my situation, we had quite a discussion about my folks and what was likely the scenarios that they will experience as time goes on and what they could be if they were in a facility such as this one. I was impressed with the activities the residents were doing AND the staff in servicing that was also going on. It was clean, not smelly, and everyone was relatively happy and friendly.

We love Willow Park!

My mother has been a resident at
Willow Park since March and has thrived in their caring and friendly environment. She is well taken care of by the nursing staff, and her medical check ups have shown improvement due to their consistent care.
The facility is well cared for and the staff are all friendly and accommodating. She is so loved by the staff and residents alike. Every staff person from the laundry to the garden staff are always available and willing to share a smile and a hug. They strive to make everyday a meaningful day for each person. She is in the Bridges program that affords a little more supervision and staff participation. It is worth it for us to have her so actively engaged. We love the activities staff and their willingness to go the extra mile.
I used to think care at home was the best setting, but since Willow I have had to re-think my assumptions and recognize my mother's need for socialization and her own peer group.

Ultimate satisfaction

My mother has been a resident for over five years. During that time nothing but care and love have been extended by everyone on staff. They have gone our of their way to give comfort, show concern, total respect and respond to each and everyone of her needs. I can't say enough about the facility/staff and have often shared my great admiration with many other people. If I am ever in a position to need their facility, I wound not hesitate at become a resident there my self.

A Nice Community My Tour Went Well

This a nice community. A nice aspect of this community is that is it has different levels of care. From what I saw the community looked great. The staff was kind and informative. I just didn't think this was the right place for my parents.

Strong Recommendation

I am confident I have found the right place for my mother at the right time. The staff is friendly, caring and works very hard to ensure she has had the best possible transition from her own home into the Care Community. They have worked hand and hand with medical professionals and her family throughout the transition. I would make the same decision again.

Additionally, the Bridges program for residents with memory disadvantages, is an outstanding program to encourage independence and socialization.

The Willow Park has been extremely flexible and supportive and very helpful through the entire process. They made the transition very easy. I would recommend to friends.

Find wonderful things at Willow Park!

I have had the opportunity to be involved with the staff and residents at Willow Park for the past 4 years. It is a welcoming, beautiful home for Seniors that have different levels of care needs. The residents are happy and the care provided is excellent. The food is delicious and there are always fun activities going on. You will always be greeted by a friendly face when you come for a visit! I would recommend Willow Park to anyone looking for a new home for themselves or a loved one!

I have the opportunity to work with Willow Park and their residents and am constantly impressed with their staff and the facility. All staff members are willing to help and are concerned about each resident's needs. Every time I get to visit I am reminded of what a great environment and sense of community Willow Park offers.

Excellent care

The staff here is really accommodating and helpful. They are compassionate and professional. The building is always clean and the residents are so friendly all the time. The level of care here is excellent.

A dynamic and energetic assisted living residence

June 2015 found us looking for an assisted living residence for our folks (age 92 and 94). We found it at Willow Park Senior Living. Yes, it was a hard move for our parents but the transition to new accommodations and new people couldn't have gone better. Willow Park is a dynamic and energetic place - full of amazing people and I am not just referring to the staff. The residents are fun, welcoming and very interested in meeting new people. Now, 5 months later, our parents have adapted to their new apartment, their new friends and their new life. My mother has blossomed and looks better every day and my father is beginning to more fully realize the number of activities, field trips, lectures, music, etc. that are available to him at Willow Park.

Willow Park was absolutely awesome and they were like a second family to me. The staff was friendly, caring and professional and the facility was wonderful. Everyone there just seemed to be decent and caring.

excellent staff

I think the staff is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only issue with the activities is more of my parents issues not the staff.

Looks like a very nice place and does have a few "cottages", which would satisfy my dad's desire for something other than an apartment in a building. Not sure, though, if he wants to be living "in town" and that far away from the Greenbelt.

not crazy about how they do their billing

I am not crazy about how they do their billing at Willow Park. I have had some issues with that. The administration just seems to need improvement there. Other than that things are going good so far.

Classy, well ran with well trained and compassionate people. Very professional. They have a waiting list for the memory care so my dad was unable to go there, but I would have in a second. We had visited there almost 2 years ago and the people remembered us and sympathized with our new situation. Even though they were unable to accommodate us, they continued to help us find a qualified place. They are not motivated my money and the money you pay them goes to honor your parent with wonderful, thoughtful, compassionate care.

excellent care

I really do not have any criticisms of Willow Park. Mom thinks the world of the care givers. They respond quickly when buzzed and provide excellent care. The place is very nice and clean, and they are really on top of things. They have been wonderful.

We were very impressed with this facility. It was very clean with no unpleasant odors; the staff was friendly and very helpful; and the residents appeared to be happy and well cared for. There were groups visiting; playing cards; watching a movie and one resident was playing the piano. It was a very warm & welcoming environment.

nice place, needs better communication

The one thing I would say where Willow Part needs to improve is this: their nursing staff communication with my mothers doctor needs to improve.

Other than that it has been a very positive overall experience. It is a very clean nice facility with friendly staff.

Good if there are no "issues"

They seem to be a little understaffed even though they have the "required minimum" if anyone is sick or needs extra help there isn't really anyone "extra" to give them attention. We have had to move our Mom because she needed a little extra help getting settled (she was slapping her legs and yelling No!) and they felt it was disruptive to other residents. We know that if there would have been at least one "extra" person that could have gone to her and comforted her she would have settled down. She is really not disruptive to other residents (per our observations) she just needed a little extra attention at certain times and there weren't enough staff to help make that happen. She was given 3 weeks to acclimate - since we've never been through such a thing before we don't know if this was a "normal" time period for her to settle. We looked to their expertise and were told they had not ever dealt with such behavior and couldn't give advice. That was hard to believe since we personally know two other families with dementia parents who have exhibited the same types of frustration behavior. We don't feel like they were much help with advice upon move-in or with what to expect. We got the standard answer of "everyone is different" and when our mom started having her frustrations the staff were saying she was fine and getting better but the administration was saying that she was a problem and we would probably have to move her. At 5 weeks in they seemed to be short staffed due to illness and that is when we were given 30 days to find a new place for Mom. The truth is we think she was settling quite well and when she was upset if she was given a hug and distracted she would calm right down and her "episodes" were generally first thing in the morning when she was frustrated with getting dressed and whenever she was asked a question that she couldn't answer. I would think that experts in the field of memory care would understand that frustration from someone who can't even remember their own name.
I have to say that if you have a family member who is cheerful and easy in all ways or docile and not hard to take care of then Willow Park is a great facility but if you have any issues of any kind this is probably not a wise choice. I make this observation by spending many hours per week at the facility with my mom and observing the other residents and their interactions with staff. They are wonderful caring people - they just don't have much time for any individual attention beyond bathing, dressing, feeding... Hope this helps

Willow Park was very nice, it was in our top two.

Willow Park was very nice, it was in our top two. We really liked it. There were two reasons that we didn't choose it. One was they didn't have a room available at the time, and while they were willing to ask another gentleman to change rooms to accommodate us, I just didn't feel right about that. Also there was some concern over the level of memory care we needed. The place we chose was more able to work with us on the memory care.

Mom and our worst experience ever!

They said Mom had to be in Memory Care. They don't serve the same food as on the Assisted side, and it's not good. After moving her in they threw out her special blue trash wicker basket that she has had in her bath for 50 years, and I knew she would recognize it. Her stroke left her with a 3 min. memory, but she knows everything in the moment and remembers most of her past. Then after a few days there I noticed that she was still in bed at 11 AM. She even had them call me with the worst call of my whole life! "Why did you leave me hear?" After 3 weeks she seems like she was giving up on living, so I moved her. She is as Grace Assisted Living in Boise the past year (on the Assisted living) and is doing quite well.
The experience at Willow Park was horrible and if you have to go to memory--really keep an eye out!

Willow Park has everything we need for our old folks

Willow Park is a beautiful place. Most important, it provides the highest level of assisted living care and also it has a memory care section. We needed both these options because my mother-in-law has dementia and my father-in-law is 90 years old and needs assistance.

The first person you are going to meet is Mary Smith-Hall. She is the Community Relations Manager, the face of the company. She is a wonderful, caring, intelligent and classy lady. Only she knows how difficult was our situation! She worked tirelessly and very professionally to meet our needs, achieve our goals and walk us through the transition.

I highly recommend Willow Park!

Wonderful community

This is a wonderful community. My parents are enjoying their apartment and the events that they have attended. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

A new place for my parents

After touring several assisted care homes for my parents we chose Willow Park. This was a hard decision for my parents and a big adjustment. They both need care and could no longer do it alone. It has been a big relief to them and myself to get the level of care that they need. They are very pleased with Willow Park. It is a clean, friendly, and vibrant environment. They were able to personalize their apartment. The care providers are considerate and kind. My parents really like the meals and the dining environment. Not having to worry about preparing meals or shopping for food is a relief. They have only been residents of a week now but I really think that they are adjusting and happy with their decision.

Very Impressive

They are really outstanding. I think that it is extremely well coordinated and it is very high level, so it is really a very impressive place. They have a calendar and they do things both at the facility and organize off site trips.

This one seems like a place...

This one seems like a place they would enjoy. I think they could thrive in this environment. Their funds is my only worry. They would need the 1 bedroom unit. Studio was too small for their bed and equipment.

Vrey Nice

It was nice. They couldn't take my dad on at that moment because the area that was equipped to handle his level of care for dementia was full at that time. It was a very nice place though.

Separate Buildings

They had a main building and that was all assisted living. To get to the independent living, where my mother would have been, you had to walk outside and across a driveway or parkway or something. Given my mom's age she was not interested in having to go outside, especially during the winter. She would have had to have walked to the main building to get to the dining and the activities and that was not acceptable.

I loved Willow Park. Mary w...

I loved Willow Park. Mary was extraordinary as she engaged with Dad right from the start. The food was amazing and the place was very clean. Staff were very abundant and professional. Dad felt a little overwhelmed with the size of the facility. I would pick it for Dad because of all of the amenities, however Dad is simple and is easilly overwhelmed so still deciding if it would be a consideration.

Waiting list for bigger apartments

This is a more open style community that allows residents to move about. They do have a waiting list for the bigger apartments. The community is very nice and well maintained. Overall it is a great community we just needed a higher level of care but would recommend Willow Park to anyone.
