Customer Reviews

Everyone very friendly and helpful.
I think it is a good value - for someone that doesn't need a lot of care.
I always find it clean.
The response time is not always as fast as you'd like if you have an issue.

The facilities are immaculate. The staff were extremely friendly and informative. There is plenty of activities and entertainment to keep residences busy, and the dining area could compete with any high class restaurant.

I toured The Lexington. Very clean and comfortable Community. Loved the staff ratio in Memory Care.
Very nice courtyard and large dining room. Dining room accommodates all residents rather than set seating like other communities I’ve visited. 24 hr front desk staff is a real plus. Staff seemed knowledgeable and caring to my family needs.

Great Community!

The Lexington is a great community surrounded by wonderful caregivers and other staff. There's a reason this community has been 95% occupied for over 30 years- they care! Residents and their families aren't just another number, everyone is treated as family

Thank you for such a positive review. We'll make sure we share this with our wonderful staff.

Went on tour and was very pleased with what I saw. Waiting on contact for individual pricing of services. This will decide if there will be a move or not. Since my mom needs more help the add on prices adds on far beyond what I can pay

No kitchens and apartments are extremely small.

The Lexington is very unique, not every apartment is the same, some have kitchens while others don't. We have several different apartment styles and sizes to choose from, all at very affordable rates.

My sisters comfort.

This is a good community for excellent care. The community is clean and well maintained for her to enjoy. They have a nice variety of meals. They offer her alot of activities that she is participating with the other residents. She likes being able to go on small trips outside of the community. We are happy with the care and the value of this community.

Thank you for this wonderful review!

Too small!

I did not like Lexington Assisted Living when I toured. The rooms were extremely small, they were only about 200 feet which are the size of a large closet. Everyone there was nice, but it seemed like a place for people who needed a higher level of care than my father, so it was not going to be a good fit.

Yes, our smallest studio is approximately 200 sq ft but it is the most affordable. Our apartments can be as big as 750 sq ft. Like a cruise ship where the traveler is not confined to their cabin all day, our residents are active, socializing with friends, going on outings, enjoying a swim in the pool or watching a movie in our movie theatre.
Thank you so much for touring the Lexington and for your review.

Hi [Removed]! We went to lunch and a tour at The Lexington last Friday! [Removed] was just lovely. Now I have a place to take my mom of I want to go out of town. Whew!

Our Respite (short term program) is a great service to caregivers/family members that might need a break, transitional care needs or any other short term RESPITE. we're happy to offer this service to our wonderful community

Building needs refurbishing

My mother spent her last days here and I was comfortable with the care she received given the circumstances. They could pay more attention to upkeep and maintenance of the building. Refurbishing is needed, such as, new carpeting and fresh paint. Overall, I would recommend the community.

Thank you for your review. We take pride in our community and appearance is very important.

I took a tour!

When I toured the Lexington Assisted Living, it was an older community and seemed to have an older feel. It did not seem like they were as committed to the community as other places I toured. It was a nice place and everyone was very friendly, but it was not what we were looking for.

Thank you for touring with us. If we can be of any help in the future please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or anyone in our admin dept.

My tour!

This community is a little less expensive than the community we chose. They do not offer the same type of activities as the other community. The staff are nice. You get more of a hospital vibe from this community.

Thank you for your post. Our resident's activities are very important. We're always open to more ideas and suggestions from families, residents, vendors and others. Sharing our campus with a Skilled Nursing Facility has its benefits.

Let a little light in!

When I walked in I knew that this was not the place for my loved one. It was dark and dingy and very dirty as well. They also did not offer balcony's which is something we looked for. The gentleman that took us around however, was very very nice and helpful. The community just did not offer much which the price reflected that.

Lovely Director!

The director at this community was just lovely to my loved one and I during our tour. I could not have asked for a better person to give us a tour, she was very detailed and made sure to answer any questions my husband and I had for her. I just did not think it was the right fit for him.

Great Care

I am very happy with the care at this community. The staff are very nice and caring. They offer alot of great activities for me to participate. It is a clean community and always taken care of. I would recommend this community to other families for good care.

Not enough help

I got the opportunity to take a tour of this community and I loved it. The staff was helpful and they communicated the different things that they offered to me. I just thought that it was not a good fit for my loved one because they needed more care then they offered. Nice clean community though.

Very Friendly Staff

My friend really likes this facility, even though she feels it is a bit expensive. It is a nice community, they do keep everything nice and clean. The staff is kind, they are taking good care of her and her needs. There are activities offered for the residents. She loves the food, the meals are nice. Everything is going well and I would recommend it.

Traditional and practical for assisted living residents.

Pleasant but rather sparse looking. Traditional furnishings, no carpeting in common areas. Very small 1 bedroom not feasible for a couple. Limited activities available for independent residents.

Thank you for your post. I'm not sure about the carpet comment as all of our common areas are carpeted other than lobby and sweet shop.

Very Friendly

They are very friendly and very willing to make any adjustments if you think something is not right, they work to correct it. They are very helpful. I like it and my loved one is happy there and that's what's important.

A nice place..

The Lexington seemed very nice. It was very clean. Everyone seemed friendly. Some residents complained about the exercise room. They suggested that if they add a boost exercise ball it would help. Other than that, it's a really nice and clean facility. I would just say that they could improved on the activities. More exercise activities would be nice for the residents. Overall, The Lexington is a really nice place.

not working out

My parents are not adjusting too terribly well at The Lexington. It seems like a nice place overall and the people there are friendly enough, but it is just not for them and they are wanting to get back into their own place. They have complained a couple of times about the food. They like to have their own thing and the meals have not suited them too well. I am not sure if all of this is the fault more of The Lexington or of my parents, but for whatever reason it just hasn't worked out.

Nice place!

Our mother is doing great at Lexington. The staff is very caring and friendly to the residents. They are also very efficient in their care.

It has been a pleasure

i HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE i FOUND EVERYTHING TO BE QUITE A GOOD EXPERIENCE. THE STAFF IS DOING A WONDERFUL JOB, THE COMMUNITY IS ADEQUATE FOR LIVING, THE PEOPLE ARE VERY FRIENDLY AS WELL. i ONLY WISH THAT MY LOVED ONE WAS ON THE FIRST FLOOR, INSTEAD OF THE SECOND BUT THAT WAS THE ONLY OPENING. i WILL SAY THOUGH THAT THEY ARE ESCORTED DOWN TO THE LOWER FLOOR WHEN AND WHEREVER THEY DECIDE TO GO.

Only For The Independent Person

The Lexington is a nice place for seniors who can get around easily. But my Mom was interviewed and accepted there even though she was blind and dependent on almost constant help. Maybe the staff didn't fully understand her dependency, but they did when my Mom fell 5 days after she arrived, and ended up in the hospital and then a rehab facility. When I went to the Lexington to talk to the manager, she told me this was not going to work for my Mom, and gave me a list of other places that would be more suitable. We packed up my Mom's room and checked out, only to be told that we not only owed for the entire month that my Mom was there--5 days!-- but for the following month because we didn't give them a month's notice. They wouldn't budge and we paid, but will not recommend this place to anyone.

Unseen problems

My Mom was accused of wearing the same thing every day, when she has 3 of the same duster. The colors are only slightly different, but the patterns are the same. Also, When another resident was being a bully toward her, there was nothing done to intervene on her behalf. I believe that is because the "bully" was one of the Lexington's wealthier residents and the Lexington did not want to loose her business.

Dark rooms, windows very very small.

Nicer Inside than Outside

We liked, but they didn't have anything available. It was our second choice. I didn't like that they had a pool because my mother couldn't swim at all, but did like that place. We contacted when we were ready to move, and it's unfortunate that they were full. We didn't like the building as much - it had a 50's or 60 apartment type look. Not a bad thing, it looked surprisingly nicer inside than outside. Outside looked like a regular old apartment.

The Lexington Memory Care

I moved Mom into The Lexington Memory Care Unit when the facility where she had been living could no longer provide the services she required. For less money, Mom had a larger, nicer room and excellent care. Management and staff made the move as stress free as possible. Mom became very attached to the staff and would respond to Frank and Freddy even when she did not respond to family. The staff provided more attention and caring than I could have asked for. Even when Mom's condition degraded into unresponsiveness, she was still treated like a person who was to be respected. Either my sister or I would visit every day. We were welcomed by the staff and they were able to give us a daily update on her condition and level of response to the staff. They were very supportive to our family as well as to Mom I don't think we could have found a better place for Mom's last weeks. I wish I had moved her to The Lexington sooner.

Great Care for my Parents!

We like it. My parents are very happy and they're doing a good job taking care of them. They gave us a really good deal so the value is great! The care is really good. I don't know if they have that many activities. My parents are in memory care so they don't do much. I think that is the one way they could improve - maybe they could have more activities for the memory care portion. Other than that, I think it's great. We're very happy with it.

Activities, Swimming Pool, Nice People

They have a lot of activities but the rooms are smaller so it's a trade off. They were not bad. It was an older style building, more like hotel or a house back east somewhere. It had the darker wood and hardwood floors but it was a little more stark - no art or anything hanging on the walls. There were lots of activities going on. They have like an activity room but it didn't have the same feel that my mom wanted. It's hard to tell just from a visit.

they have a swimming pool which is great for people who do water aerobics but my mom is afraid of the water so that wouldn't do her any good. The facility was wonderful and the people were wonderful but it just wasn't the place for my mom.

Didn't Like the Layout

It was fine. It was just the physical space that we didn't like. It was like an old hotel. For some people that may have been very pleasant but it was not good for my mom as far as her ability to ambulate. It was just the layout of it and the need for elevators. It was nothing negative about the staff, but more the physical layout of the place.

Small Studios

We looked at this one for my aunt but the studio apartments were very small so she wasn't willing to pursue that one. We found one with larger apartments and a better value because of it.

Good price but dismal memory care facility. Definite NO for dementia patient. Would recommend for assisted or independant living.

Good value for the price

I'm not not absolutely positive about the value. I'd like to see and RN on staff but I think they do a fine job. My dad wanted to try it out so he stayed in The Lexington for a week. They seem to have a lot of activities but my dad is not interested in games or dancing or anything . The activites they offered are great but I don't think there's any place that would keep my dad excited.

The food is okay for what it is. It's adequate. It's well balanced and better than high school cafeteria food.

For the price, it's a good value. I feel like business is the 1st priority with all these places. The people are very nice and caring but I know that they want our business. They've been very attentive and he was comfortable there. I would (and have) recommend that people go have a look.

Nice place, but the rooms are small. I felt like I was being surrounded by vultures. I know that cost is an issue in these situations, but there was too much discussion of my grandparents finances for my taste. I would have preferred to just gather the information and let my grandparents deal with their own finances. I loved that they have a pool though, and it seemed by far like the most social community!

We visited and liked the residence.

Loved it, great food and can order off a large menu and eat during a time period instead of everyone at one time. Affordable room was a little smaller than at other places.
