Customer Reviews

The staff, food, location, service were excellent!

Happy with Atria Las Posas

My 84 year old friend has improved in so many ways since living in Atria.
She is happier than she’s been in a very long time
The staff are super friendly, courteous & well trained.
The activities are geared for all levels.

I Can't Think of a Better Outcome

Atria Las Posas has been amazing for my loved one. I couldn't think of a better outcome. The level of care is so personalized, and the staff is so patient, attentive, caring, and genuine with the residents. April, the director did an assessment of my loved one and got her placed immediately. My loved one has received physical therapy here and hasn't walked so well in months. Her confidence is up, and she completely trusts the staff the give her the care she needs. I couldn't ask for better results. I immediately felt that Atria was the right place for my loved one, and I can't imagine any community being better than this.

Dad is settling in

They are providing my dad wonderful accommodations. There are more men here and more people to interact with. They have a very nice patio and courtyard area. I like the fact that they set my dad up with an ambassador to help him get involved in activities, and have a friend. The only downside is I wish the staff would help him more with his laundry he doesn't remember to set it out and needs more reminders for these types of things. I would recommend this community.

Very Nice but pricier than what we're planning on at this time.

My mom care and comfort

My mom is happy at this community. The staff is outstanding and very caring to her needs. We like that the community is always clean with a good environment for her. I like knowing that she likes the meals and the variety. She is trying to participate in the activities with the other residents. We would recommend this community for the care and the value for other families.

Rude Director of Marketing

This review pertains to the marketing person,[Removed]. I called for some basic information (capacity and occupancy) and she was totally rude and refused to tell me their memory care capacity, as if it's some sort of trade secret. Her tone of voice and the things she said were shockingly unprofessional. If their sales person is that rude, how bad are their caregivers!?! When I asked to speak with the administrator, she refused to transfer me.

I called multiple communities to ask the same question, and this is the only person who was suspicious of me and unhelpful.

Not the right fit!

My husband had already paid the deposit when Atria said they could not take care of my mother in law because they could not manage her oxygen needs. Also, they kept the community fee when we decided to go elsewhere for that reason. I think it would be a good fit for someone who has little to no needs, but for someone who needs more care, it is not the best choice.

A nice community

The staff at Atria seem to be on the ball. They are attentive and nice to work with. The food is good and they keep the community well taken care of. They offer a lot of activities and my mother in law likes to participate in some of them. I would recommend this community.

not worth the cost!!

Very unhappy with Atria Las Posas. My mother has been there for almost two years and the quality of care has really gone down. I went to visit her today and her clothes smelled of urine and her bedsheets had not been laundered for 2 wks! Her cotten bedspread was soiled as well.

Ironically, they also raised the rates and insisting that she be upped to level 3 care at almost $6.000 a month. she does not have dementia and is ambulatory. Seriously thinking of moving her!

Like a high class hotel!

The staff are friendly and seem to be in a good mood. I do wish they were a little more proactive with getting dad to places. The food is great. They offer daily activities and a happy hour. This community is very new and a little more expensive, however I do think you get what you pay for. Dad likes that a lot of the residents have the same interests as he does. This community does not feel like a nursing home and I would recommend it.

My tour!!

This community was our second choice. They offered a huge dining room. The food and the chefs were good. We were looking for a first floor apartment and they did not have available. The community is nice, however they are a little expensive.

Get up and get involved!

The community is very nice and well maintained. The staff is great with my loved one. The staff really does not try to get my loved one involved they just do what my loved one says. Other than that the meals are good and of good portion. They also keep the community really clean.

Atria Los Posas in Camarillo is a lovely community.

My Mother moved into Atria's Memory Care area one week ago. I was very impressed with their program when I first went there to check out the facility. They have a lovely facility with two areas, Assisted Living and Memory Care. My
Mother has Dementia and is in the Memory Care area which only consists of 17 residents. Everyone has been very nice and helpful in making the move an easy transition for my Mom. She was in a different facility for 5 years, so it will take few weeks for her to adapt to the changes in Atria's programs and routines. It much calmer atmosphere than where she lived before which had a much larger Dementia
area with over twice as many residents, so it would sometimes be pretty noisy and hectic, and the caregivers were not as attentive. Since my Mom has only been at Atria
for one week, she has not participated in all the activities yet, but a main draw for us is their music program. My Mom loves music and dancing, and Atria has a musical activity every day, and not just once or twice a week. After one week, we're very pleased with the choice to move to Atria.

Atria Living

It's only been the first few weeks, but my Mom loves it! I am always impressed by the friendly staff, & they are always willing to help. The Residents are very friendly, too. I am so relieved to have Atria for my Mom-she thanks me everyday!!

She Loves It Here

This is a very expensive community, but it is worth it. My mother in law in being cared for very well. We know she is safe and in good hands. The community is well-kept, her room and the facility looks nice and clean. They have a good staff. She is trying the activities they offer. The food is good, she enjoys the meals. She loves it here and I would recommend it.

Atria staff warm and welcoming

The staff at Atria Las Posas were super friendly and welcoming when I took my dad there for a tour. We were looking for a place for my mom to go and were in a hurry because she was going to be discharged from the hospital imminently. Everywhere we went on the tour, staff were friendly and warm. And it was clear the staff were familiar with the residents, greeting them by name. I felt sure that my mom would be in a safe, secure place with caregivers who enjoy their jobs. Even though I live across the country, I know my mom is happy and getting the care she needs.

A Very Good Experience

My mother is doing very well with her move into Atria. She has been improving very well. The community is very clean and well maintained. The staff has been helpful and kind to us, and helps my mother with all her needs. There are activities offered at the community for the residents. I go to eat with her everyday and the food is great. It has been a good experience for us, and I would recommend this community.

The Greatest Place on Earth for Seniors

I would like to say without the tremendous assistance given to us by Ed at A Place for Mom, not to mention the wonderful staff at Atria Las Posas, Jane, Angela, Colleen, the dining staff (who reads the menu to mom) and Jeri the bus driver just to name a few this review would not be possible. Due to circumstances beyond our control we were forced to make the difficult decision to relocate our 85 year old mother quickly. We told Ed what our monthly budget was and Ed got right on the task at hand. He arranged tours of all the appropriate facilities in our town and kept in contact with us the whole time. The staff and well appointed studio apartment at Atria Las Posas was the perfect fit for mom. The anticipated stress and strain in relocating mom became non-existent. Though mom has early onset dementia and advanced macular degeneration she is thriving wonderfully and is finally receiving the best of care. She is never in her apartment as there are so many activities to attend. Before she arrived at Atria, mom was a shell of herself but I can now happily say "Life" was put back into her. I know I speak for my family when I say we cant thank A Place for Mom and Atria Las Posas for their professionalism, guidance and support in this transition.

The property is very kept up to date. The CNA's are great. They really do a good job. From time to time I have to clean up her room.

Well I've asked them to change the lock off the closet but no one has reacted to it. They put a work order in and no has done anything about it. I'm afraid that my sister might lock the door and not be able to enter it, there isn't suppose to be a lock on it anyways.

good but way expensive

Atria Las Posas definitely seems to be a very well run facility. It is very clean, and the staff all seem to be very friendly, helpful, and caring.

One thing that has kind of bugged me is that I requested that my mother have a low sodium diet, and they said that they could not do so without a doctors orders. That seems really odd to me. Why do you need a doctors note to accommodate a healthy dietary request?

That and the place is WAY expensive!

To help us better address your request, we encourage you to connect with us at [removed] with your contact information.

First of all, my mother has hypertension and they do not accommodate that very well. They also do not appear to handle her dementia very well at all. There have been several things where they have not fully delivered on what they have promised and where things have not worked out as well as hoped. The people that administer the medications are not evened licensed nurses. I really have been overall disappointed with the place.

Beautiful, clean, well lit environment. The outdoor area is lovely. The rooms are well laid out and have plenty of natural light. The dining room is comparable to a small hotel. The community is a thriving one. Obviously people are happy here.

I really liked the Atria

I really liked the Atria, it seemed like a very nice location. They were very nice when I came and toured. It's a little larger than the one in South Oaks, which is nice.

Our experience with Atria has been 100% positive. Our mother has moved in and really likes the food. Her apartment is just the right size and accomodates her little dog. The services provided have been first rate. We are very pleased after 1 1/2 months!

Overall, I am pretty satisfied with Atria. One thing that I would like to see would be more activities for the memory care residents. It would be nice to see them get out a little bit more and be able to walk outside more often. However, this community fit our needs and the proximity is great!

My friends mom lives here and she loves it there.

It's beautiful and looks like a resort, like a big hotel. It's newer and in a nice area. My friends mom lives here and she loves it there. They take good care of her.

I Recommend It!

My partner is in Atria and it's very very nice. I think it's a fair value and I highly recommend it. It's very clean, it's very bright, the staff is very nice, and the food is very good. It just seems like they're on their toes. It has a pleasant atmosphere. He was still on the waiting list at another place when we took him to Atria but I decided that Atria might be a little better because it was larger and the food tasted better more bright and cheery.

Loved the activity director here. This would be active enough for my handicap brother I really liked the independence the clients seem to ave and the social activities. Will be bringing my Dad to view this one too!!

I appreciate everything...

I appreciate everything these facilities offer and I know Atria is a top-notch place. But for now, I think we have some general info to give our mom if she reverts back to her old ways.

Beautiful, but very expensive. I hate the feeling that you are buying a car so the price is negotiable, and price can increase at any time and any amount depending on what 'corporate' wants to do to appease its shareholders. Deanna was lovely, but meeting with Josh really showed me that this is probably not the community for us.

We appreciate your feedback regarding your visit with us a while back, and I would like to address your concerns about the cost. Our monthly rent is generally competitive compared to other assisted living locations. Our rates include three full-service dining experiences every day, a cafe with complimentary snacks and beverages, a robust calendar of more than 200 events and outings each month, scheduled transportation, and other amenities such as a theater and outdoor fireplace. Our community is also pet friendly. Regarding rate increases, there is a 30-day notice in our contracts, but rates typically increase by a small percentage annually. If we can answer any questions, please call us at [removed] or email [removed] (please include the Atria community name in your subject line).

We just knew it

We chose this community because after visiting about 3 others Atria was the best organized and was the cleanest. The rooms are really nice and have plenty of space. The staff is just marvelous and really makes a difference. Diana is a true professional and did really well assisting us with everything we needed. There seems to be plenty of activities to keep the residents occupied if they chose to participate. As soon as we visited Atria we just knew this was the community we wanted. We are very pleased with our decision in choosing Atria.

Snacks available all dayand dining available all day (no set meal times for GD). Grab bars all up & down the hall and in bathrooms. GD's care would be all inclusive starting at $4995 for a studio. Camarillo is a town of approximately 70,000 nestled in picturesque Ventura County. It is known for its slower pace and aversion to change, which makes it ideal for seniors seeking solace and relaxation. In addition to the many sites around town preserving the city's coveted history, residents can enjoy a variety of activities from shopping at the premium outlets to enjoying the rustic park at Camarillo Ranch. The city is known for its laid-back atmosphere, which is both inviting and relaxing. With its early 20th century charm, Camarillo is an excellent place for seniors to call home. The temperate Mediterranean atmosphere here ensures that your bones will never get chilled.

Humidity is low as well, so you can breath in that cool air rolling off the surrounding hills as you explore the natural beauty of Ventura County. If you feel like venturing out of town, Camarillo is only an hour from Santa Barbara, Hollywood, and Los Angeles. For a nice day or weekend trip, it's only three hours or less to visit Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Palm Springs, and San Diego.

Camarillo is well-known for patronizing the arts. The city is also fiercely protective of it Californios cultural roots. This makes it a thriving hub of Latino heritage, as evidenced by the city's well-kept streets and neighborhoods, its small-town urban facade, and annual parades featuring the famous Camarillo White Horses. There's the Celtic Fair at Constitution Park during the springtime. The Camarillo Fiesta & Street Fair brings the city onto the streets of Old Town while the Art & Jazz Festival plays in the summer.
