Customer Reviews

Nice facility, but there seemed to be a lack of security. We were able to walk right in and walk around, and nobody stopped us.

Regular visitor

There have been a lot of changes, great changes. It is obvious that the company really cares. The staff are happy. The staffing is good, and the residents are happy and well cared for. The change in administrators has made a huge difference. The community feels good and I enjoy visiting.

Quaint, Different and Happy little community

This is "The Little Community That Could"! Staff is fun and friendly. Management is stable and interactive with residents and family. Beautiful grounds and quaint cottages for that "not to big" feel. Great location right off the freeway, but close to downtown and Micron.

I went on a tour here

I toured this community and the staff was nice and they answered all of my questions. I didn't cared for the common area it just seemed like a lot of dementia residents there. They had no hot water at the time. The rooms were darling. Just not a good fit for us. I recommend families tour many places before making a choice.

Looks are deceiving and so are the staff what happens behind closed doors is scary

This place misrepresent itself to the T don't let the pictures or the kind words at the display bring you any type of summary of what is in stored for your loved one at the go here every single resident I've met their hated the place he got no type of activities they were disrespected do you literally didn't have running water for weeds the food is horrible and the cannot get any type of assistance with changing it there they're Dowd out all their money they're told that they didn't pay their bills that's why their water doesn't work and it was literally scary and I'm borderline which the state would come in and take over or close it down

Unable to Regulate Heat

My loved one was here for respite care, and unfortunately, it was not a very good experience for her. The heat was controlled for the entire building from a central location, so no one was able to regulate the temperature for themselves. As a result, one side of the building was too cold, while the other was too hot. My loved one was uncomfortable the entire time there.

My friend is doing well

This is a very nice community, the staff is friendly and my friend has adjusted nicely, he likes his room and even goes to the dining room for his meals. He likes that there is a designated smoking area and he has started making friends and likes talking with them. They do offer a lot of amenities for the residents to take part in should they want to as well.

My sister placed our mom here as she needed extra help. No only did she not receive a lot of extra help, but they literally kicked her out because they didn't have the staff to assist and didn't want their ratings to plummet if and when she fell, which she did, a lot, breaking her wrist. This after stating that they were equipped to handle care needs as they increased. Talk about misleading! Very minimal staff--2 or 3 per house and they go from house to house.
The place was filthy!! The heat registers were so dirty we couldn't get them out to clean them, let alone open or close them. My mom, being a clean nut, thank goodness, let it pass. It was dark, dingy, very institutional.
Mom is very food-driven and was disappointed with that, too. It was terribly overcooked and under-seasoned.
The day we brought her in, they had creepy [Removed] guys calling Bingo. And I mean CREEPY! I felt like I needed to take a shower as soon as I left.
The only good thing about this place is the courtyard is well-tended. Sadly, unlike the residents.

We Needed The Compassion In The Staff

There was nothing wrong when my husband had the tour. Everything was suitable accept he preferred another community over them. He felt the staff treated their role as just workers and not as a profession.

We passed..,

This one along with many other communities we passed on mostly because of the price. Also, my mother's level of care was too advanced for them.

Do not come here!!!

Do not come here! They will tell you all sorts of lies to pull you in but I'm warning you, it will all change soon after! Short staffed, food is so so, administration is horrible and they have no clue what they are doing! No nurse on site. Might seem like a dream at first, but watch your back people, they will throw your loved ones [Removed]. Beware!

A tour for mom

We toured this community for my mom. The staff was very nice. We liked that it was very clean. The menu was appealing. We wanted a bigger room for her to feel comfortable. They have good activities to help stay active. We would recommend this community for the value and for families to see if it would be within their budget.

Regency Columbia Village gets my recommendation!!

Mom is in the memory care unit and the staff are doing everything they can to help her. The food seems ok and they are accommodating when it comes to her diet. They offer a variety of activities and the staff do a good job of trying to get the residents involved. They have several buildings and a courtyard in the middle. The community is kept clean.

Not Perfect But Good Care

The care is going quiet well for my mom. My mom is living in a clean and odorless home. At times we have a communication barrier. It is all small things and they are willing to fix it. Other than that, we are pleased with them and overall we are happy with them too.

Regency is a good option

I am so glad that I found Regency Columbia Village when I was looking for a temporary assisted living facility for my husband. The administrative staff was very flexible and helpful in working something out. The care staff is upbeat and always ready to accommodate any requests or needs. My husband's room is very nice and convenient. The small atmosphere (residents live in one of four houses) makes Regency easy to navigate, even with mobility issues, and less confusing for someone with cognitive problems. I highly recommend it!

The first impression was great! No issues for months but with new management came new issues. They are always low staffed. They make the girls cook, clean and care for the patients. When a staff member calls in there is never any coverage. They work them short. If something breaks, like a washer or dish washer or oven they make the girls figure it out themselves. The washer currently has been broke almost 2 weeks. There are no activities. Because there isnt an activity leader. They expect the cna's do work short, with no washer or diahwasher, do all the cares, housekeeping AND activities. The cna's are unhappy and burnt out. And how the RN talks to them is unacceptable.

They could always use more staff. They worked the girls there very hard. They tend to spread the staff very thin. They worked very hard with the laundry, cleaning and caring for the residents. We're really happy with this place.

Overall it has been a good experience.

Dad has been at Regency Columbia Village 2 years now and I am still happy with it. He hasn't complained about the food in a long time. They have gone to complete memory care from the time he moved in there. I don't think someone in his position could move there at this point. They are probably at 80% memory care now. I am really impressed with the company. They were good about the people that didn't want to stay when they were converting to memory care. They paid to move them and everything if they chose to no longer live there. Overall it has been a good experience.

Not a good fit for memory care

We went to Regency as they advertised themselves as offering memory care services which proved less than satisfactory. I think they would be fine if your loved one only needed assisted living but I would not recommend them if you are looking for a care facility for a loved one suffering from dementia/alzheimer's. I just don't believe the staff is trained to handle the necessary care and issues that this disease brings with it. I was underwhelmed with the level of professionalism/expertise as I was looking to them to be the experts in handling process and providing direction to ensure mom received the proper level of care. I think the people are trying to do good and be as helpful as possible but I see them as over their heads and lacking expertise with regards to providing memory care services.

The nursing staff is outstanding

I reside at Regency Columbia Village I am very please I think the nurses are outstanding here. And I feel I have made the right choice and I am well set here. Overall satisfied with all their services.

It was a very clean facility with some very nice people.

It was a very clean facility with some very nice people. The food was a little questionable. It was pretty disappointing. It was kind of difficult to get the records for medication and things transferred, and that wasn't done in a timely manor. They were very courteous and helpful when we were in need of a bed, and it was very well kept.

We are very pleased with the amount of attention that mom gets there at Regency Columbia Village They check on her frequently, are always there to tend to her needs, and are very genuinely warmly caring. Mom is very happy there, and we would certainly recommend them. We are very happy with Regency Columbia Village!

A Wonderful Facility! I spent much time there, I know!

My Mom was living in this facility from May to October when she passed on at the age of 90. She was very happy at this facility and I was very pleased with her care in every aspect of the facility. I can say nothing but wonderful things about the staff and the administration of of Regency at Columbia Village. I was there very often, some weeks I would go by and visit my Mom every day, and was very aware of the care she was receiving. She was in the House (Rose House) that did all the primary cooking for the whole facility, so I was there to see how the cooking staff carried out their duties and how the food was that was served to the residence. It was excellent! I thank God for assisted living facilities such as this!

Since my father has been living here,...

Since my father has been living here, I have been very impressed with this community. They are currently renovating, so things are a little messy, but otherwise they are very clean and put together. The staff is awesome and very nice. I am very impressed with the surrounding community. There are soccer and baseball fields right across the street that offer a lot of activities for residents and their families in the summer. Residents can walk half a block to a community recreation center that has a walking path, a swimming pool, etc., so they have a lot of access to some great community resources. Pets are allowed, and my father wishes there were more rules about where pets are allowed to be and when (ex: no dogs allowed at meals). Otherwise, a great place to check out!

I’ve head great dealings with the staff long distance.

My mother-in-law likes it there. I’ve head great dealings with the staff long distance. Our concerns were handled.
I’ve had a very good experience. People are going to have a few little problems as we learn and grow.

This place is very laid bac...

This place is very laid back. A resident opened the door to the 'house' we first visited and introduced himself which made Dad feel comfortable. The carpet and furnishings were pretty worn out, so our first impression was not super. We met Jeanne and she showed us around. Dad LOVED all the animals and could totally picture himself there. He liked that he wouldn't get lost in a long hallway. The homes felt like real homes, dirty carpet and all. Jeanne said they were going to be remodeling soon though. A big open area with bedrooms (studios) situated on the outside of the buildings. This encourages the residents to sleep in their rooms but mingle in the homes. By the time we left we felt very confident and comfortable. Dad doesn't like a lot of stimulation, so this place was his top choice. The only reason for 4 stars is cleanliness and the fact that I was courtesy called back with a blanket call right after speaking to her on the she didn't put the names together.

I was very impressed becasue all the residents there are very happy

I did my research and looked at about 8 different properties before deciding that the Regency at Columbia Village was the best fit for mom. She is very happy there. I have become acquainted with the staff and rate them very highly, I am very pleased with my choice.

From the Community

Our community is quite unique in that it’s very small, with just four cottages that surround a common area with walking paths and gazebo. Each suite is 250 square feet and have their own bathroom with private shower. Our rates all inclusive, excluding a phone, and rates are based on the level of care that is needed for your mother.
