Customer Reviews

It's an okay place the communication from staff to family could be improved.

Care is the number one priority at this facility. Unfortunately, it is an older building and is smack in the middle of downtown Waynesboro (although for some people, this might be a plus). It lacks compelling common areas (both inside and out) and it does give the appearance inside of an "old folks home". But the value cannot be beat. The price includes EVERYTHING and my impression from the tour and meeting is that the care and engagement of the staff is top notch. It just might not meet the expectations of someone who is still pretty independent.

My Mom likes it and that means alot

really good job

The experience we have had with The Leland of Laurel Run has been very positive. I certainly recommend them.

They did a really good job working with my sister to get her acclimated to the new place and environment and people. They reacted to everything just right - did not over -react or under-react.

I do think that they may be a bit understaffed.

The staff that the have there are excellent though. They do a good job, and the facility itself is very nice.

Very nice

Everyone seems very caring and on the ball

We were welcomed from the very get go and the staff are lovely.
The place is very pretty, clean and happy
My Mom is adjusting really well and she wishes she had done this sooner

From the Community

The Leland of Laurel Run strives to give our residents all the care, security and comforts of home. Newly renovated and opened in December, 2012, our unique setting downtown Waynesboro offers a step back in history. Once the Leland Hotel, the building has been purchased and re-purposed into a personal care facility affillitated with The Village of Laurel Run, a continuing care community nearby. Private rooms with private baths are available, as are large bedrooms with adjacent living rooms. The Activity and Dining Rooms are bright and spacious. Waynesboro is conveniently located between Chambersburg, Greencastle, Smithsburg, and Hagerstown, and about 90 minutes from the DC/Baltimore area.
In November, 2013 we will open a secured Memory Care Unit on our 4th Floor. A beautiful, open Dining and Activity Room features spectacular views of the Waynesboro area. Our Executive Director is CARES Certified through the Alzheimers' Association, and a support group will assist families with education and coping with changes in their loved ones.
