Customer Reviews

Transition is a long process.

I was searching for a senior assisted living facility for my elderly parents that have been living with me for the past 13 years. The Hamptons at Meadows Place was very accommodating when it spoke of meeting my families needs, my mom has a dog that is her life line and they were willing to give it a try. They worked at meeting our financial needs and said all the right things to make us choose them as my parents next home.

These first 3 weeks have been challenging as we all work towards finding a workable routine for my parents. The promises made toward their care has been slow in coming as the adjustment to my mom’s dog has been challenging.

There is no procedure for new residents to welcome them and make them feel wanted. Three weeks in and I’m still unsure who is to take care of and aide my parents on a daily bases, a “team” atmosphere is missing. It would go along way if new residents were assigned one person they could go to for answers and someone to show them and their family how things work.

The administrative staff has been good at listening to my frustration but slow in my opinion to following through on solving the problems. When it comes to providing for your elderly parents time is of the essence.

My other lower rating is on the catagory of activities. There seems to be a lack of communication as to the how, when and where. The activities are not varied so if you don’t play games, cards, or watch movies there is little for you to do.

I have and continue to remain involved daily with the transition and do believe that though the level of care is not what I expected, we will get there. At no time have I felt that they are in danger.

Adequate staff and clean facility

This facility represents a safe environment and that plays a big part in my friend trusting someone with her care. The staff is adequate and the facility itself is clean and picked up. The only reason why I did not give this community a five-star review is that I do not like relying on the staff members to let me in and out of the unit. It is a memory care facility and I am used to having the code so I can let myself in.

Disappointed family member

This was a wonderful place for my mom, but with recent change in administration and nursibg I'm not too sure anymore. Everyone is frustrated, angry and upset about losing the biggest asset to this community. I personally brought mom here because of the wellness director and now I don't feel my mom is safe. Staff seem so uptight and no one knows anything anymore. Definitely looking at other places for next month. Very unfortunate situation, but when the people at the top cant see who/what the problem is then the difference clear.

A Tour For Respite

On the tour I saw a screened porch on every floor and I was impressed with that. The community was really big and i felt he would get lost in the mix during a respite visit. We found a much smaller community to use.

This is a very nice community and we have been satisfied until today. It's a sad day at the Hamptons to loose one of the only managers who care! Bring our Nurse back. I personally am not comfortable leaving my loved one here. From an unhappy camper.

Very Comfortable here

My brother-in-law is doing so well here in the memory care, not only has he made friends with the residents but the staff all love him. He gets to help the staff serve the other residents during their meal times which he loves doing. And I have noticed some great changes in him since he has moved here which is wonderful, he is eating so much better, he stays active, they monitor his meds, they stay in touch with us and we know that he is in a secure environment, safe and well cared for.

Observance so far

So far my observance is that caregivers are helpful & seem to care for the residents most times...I can see that their stress/frustration level is high & some are not as patient as they should be with residents with memory issues. My Mom has a tough road ahead here....this is just the beginning of a long relationship/journey for her. My family & I will continue to be present everyday to ensure she is being cared for & not ignored. We will see what the future holds.

Wonderful experience!

We have had a wonderful experience so far! Everyone has been very polite! The meals are great and they are sure to give my friend seconds on her meals. She is rarely left unattended, and she appreciates this because she knows she is safe. The facility has been just wonderful so far!

Staff went over and beyond the call of duty!

In the time that my brother spent at The Hampton, we were all very pleased with his stay! The staff were sure to make his days very comfortable, and, for the most part, all of his needs and requests were taken care of. Our only concern was the fact that there was one member of the health care staff in particular that was not good, but besides this, the rest of the staff were spot on and went over and beyond the call of duty to make sure that everything was taken care of!

Hampton at Meadows Place is a Great Experience.

The Hampton at Meadows Place is a delightful senior living experience. The overall environment of the facility lessened the apprehension involved in transiting to a new home. [Removed] were instrumental in our deciding to become apart of the Hampton at Meadows Place community. Their commitment to my mother's care and comfort was apparent in the first meeting. In addition, the staff and residents were welcoming and friendly. The whole experience resulted in her becoming quickly acclimated and a part of the Hampton at Meadows Place family .

Transitioning well.

I have visited my sister since her move here and she seems to be adjusting well. They have started her in speech, physical and occupational therapy. It keeps her busy and she is doing much better. We chose The Hampton because of the atmosphere and we felt she would be more comfortable here.

SLC Midwest

Thank you for your 5 Star Rating of The Hamptons at Meadows Place. We greatly appreciate your confidence in us to care for your sister. We wish her much continued success and happiness at The Hamptons.

Amazing Amenities!!

I love the floor plan and layout they have at this community for all of the residents. The hallways is very wide and they have multiple sitting rooms and common areas where they hold activities all throughout the halls. I like that my mother could just walk out of her room and not have to go to far to enjoy a card game. They also have two restaurants in the building as well as an ice cream shop available to the residents. The staff are amazing, they even offered my mother a month of respite stay before she made the official move and I really respected that. Overall great experience and we are very pleased so far.

Welcoming staff!

My father seems to be adjusting very well since his move. The facility is very clean and the food is good. I would recommend it because it has been a good experience so far.

A home for mom and dad

I like that both of my parents are in good care here. The meals need some improvements. They are not actlive in alot of activites yet. My father said that it feels alot like hom and he is comfortable.i would highly recommend this communiry for other families who want a home feeling for there loved ones and for the great value

A Caring and Welcoming Community

After our discharge we need a community to provide care. Upon meeting with the sales people, they were able to answer my many questions and made arrangements for a move in. They were accommodating to the care that was necessary.

First is the best

We were looking for an assisted living facility for my aunt and among other facilities we checked out The Hampton. We felt very comfortable walking in and the residents as well as the staff were all welcoming and seemed happy.
[Removed] showed us around, made some very perceptive suggestions and really impressed us with his care and attention for the staff and residents. Although this was the first place we had looked at, we still used The Hampton as the "gold standard" by which to compare all the other assisted living facilities. It was the first and last place we looked and our aunt is adjusting very well to this new chapter in her life. I can say without reservation that The Hampton has made all of us comfortable and happy.

Resident engagement

I recommend that the intake team do a 2 week and 4 week check in with the family and resident. The transition is such a big deal, that after a couple of weeks/a month, when things have settled down, it may be helpful to assess the schedule, the activities, the involvement of the resident etc.

Basic care is outstanding. But social engagement needs a boost - the staff is a little too "hands off" in encouraging my father to get involved - and he is lonely.

We're still trying to figure out how to work effectively with community activity staff to schedule off-campus excursions. They seem a bit set in their ways.

5 stars all the way!!

I cannot say enough how much we like this community. The staff are wonderful and helpful. They are great with my parents. The food is good. They keep the community clean.

I Took A Tour!!

The Hampton at Meadows Place did not impress me. I did not like how the residents were situated. The staff was friendly while I was touring the community. The overall place was clean and seemed to be maintained well.

Beautiful Community!

The Community is lovely and very well maintained. The staff is caring and loving. They keep me updated on how my loved one is doing. The meals are nutritious and in good portions. The place over all is wonderful and kept up very well.

It Just Did Not Feel Good

As I walked in for my tour I did not get a good feeling. I asked the residents about the food and they were not excited about it. My feelings about the place was not good and it was not going to work out for my parents.

Happy with The Hampton

I was initially impressed with the staff concerns regarding my parents health and well being. Very happy that 3 doctors visit every week, 24/7 nurse availability, and staff are CNA's. We had some very special circumstances and everyone worked to make things work. The grounds are beautiful as well.

The Hampton offers a lock down memory care unit!!

The administration and staff at this community are nice and responsive to my questions and concerns. The community is clean and a nice place. This is a good choice of a lower income community. They offer an outdoor patio on the second floor where residents are able to go out and enjoy the day. They have various stations set up that residents can come up to and participate in an activity.

Father's Care is Great!

This is a nice community. The staff is excellent and caring. The meals are good with alot of variety. A very clean facitity that is well taken care of. He is offered to do activities and he does participate with others on occasion. They have special entertainment which enjoyable. I would recommend this community for other families to offer loved ones.

TLC for my mom.

We are happy with the care that my mom is getting at this community . The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that she is happy. The activity director is very helpful with trying to help my mom participate to keep her active. The meals are good and improving with a variety of dishes to choose from. The very clean facility for her to be comfortable. We give this community a good recommendation for others and their loved onces.

Great Community

No complaints about The Hampton at Meadows Place community, the food is delicious, plenty of activities. Give great care to their residents and they staff is extremely friend. We really appreciate Jerry the onsite manager, he is very helpful and I feel the community is secure.

Finding an assisted Living facility

The process of getting mother a place to live was very easy at The Hampton at Meadows Place. The staff made us feel welcome and answered any and all questions and concerns we had or have had since she moved there. The food is tasty and well presented, the rooms are light and she is encouraged to make it her own with decorations and pictures. She is now participating in all activities available to her and enjoying them.
I am happy with the care she is receiving.

Nice And Knowledgeable Staff

My tour of the facility went very well. The community looked very well maintained. The staff was nice and friendly and showed me all around the community. They answered all my questions and were very knowledgeable. It was a just a little bit expensive for my mother's budget. Overall it is a nice community and I would suggest anyone to take a tour.

Not a bad place!

My dad is doing well since moving in. I think The Hampton at Meadows Place could use more activities in the memory care unit. There is only one food option for the residents. They also need more fruits and vegetables on the menu. The community is clean and well maintained. I would recommend this community but I would say do your homework first.

Thank you for your valuable input. It is always our pleasure to serve our friends and neighbors who have chosen to call The Hampton home. Although our menu currently does not list our alternatives, we will list our alternatives moving forward, which are available 7 days per week twice per day. Our staff also creates special needs diets, and is willing to make something not listed as long as we have it available in our kitchen. In addition, we offer fresh fruits during all meals and throughout the day at our hydration stations on every floor. I would appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your experience, and invite you to reach out directly at [removed] at your convenience. A nice place to stay!

My husband is doing very well at The Hampton. The staff are nice and attentive to the residents and their families. The food is ok and the community is kept clean and is well maintained. They do offer a variety of activities for the residents to enjoy.

So far, so good.

Overall I am pleased with the care my mother receives. Although an attractive community, some areas are due for a makeover. Perhaps long term capital plan with new owners could include the refresh of dining rooms and public restrooms. Staff is very attentive and patient with residents. Many staff members have been there for several years. The activities are plentiful, i just wish arts and crafts was offered more often.

Review of The Hampton at Meadows Place-Meadows, TX

Toured - like - several floors - gazebo out back - gates reduce walk-on traffic and walk-off residents.

Noted several care staff about during the day as a part of work and services - I liked that.

the needs my dad had were greater than they provided

At The Hampton at Meadows Place the needs my dad had were greater than they provided. We had issues with the staff. They placed him in assisted living and they felt they were having to give him care that they don't normally provide. I explained the issues that he had before moving him here and they said they would be able to work with him, however that turned out not to be the case. The facility itself was nice, I just wish I would have had more information up front as to what all care they provide.

Horrible Care for the Elderly

The place is beautiful, but my father did not eat or was not fed for three (3) days Because he eould not go to the cafeteria ut he was too weak to walk or roll himself
I feel somepne was very wrong. When I pulled him out I was threatened, then, I received a bill for medication for over $600. I was not given nor was the ambulance service that picked him up given any of his medications. The medicatoons were for 90 days. He went to Altus hospice and shortly afterwards he passed away. I would not want anyone to ever experience what I experienced. I pray that some common sense iniatives happen sooner than later.

Has changed ownership 8-1-15

As far as the Hampton themselves, the reason I gave the first rating a four is because I haven't seen anything in writing as far as what i'm being charged for. Initially there were some things we were going to be using, but turns out my mother does not need them and I don't know if I'm being charged for it. It's been a little difficult trying to talk to the doctor because she is only there Tuesdays and Thursdays, but overall I've been really pleased with it.

Everything has been really good.

Everything has been really good. My grandma has said she wishes she had moved in a long time ago, when I first started telling her to. I would give them about a four.

lovely facility, but room for improvement

The Hampton at Meadows Place is a very nice lovely facility. They got my mothers room ready on time, but there have been a few issues since then where they have not delivered on what was promised, have not returned phone calls, etc. They are very busy and may be a little understaffed based on what I have observed.

From the moment I walked into The Hampton at Meadows Place, I new it was the place that I wanted my mother to be at. Even though she was only there a few days before she passed away, the staff and every caregiver there tended to her every need. She needed full maximum care and they gave it to her.

I wish that she had been able to enjoy it for a while!

A very nice facility

I think its a very nice facility. It is well kept up. It is very attractive looking. It is also roomy. The food is fair, not the best. The Hampton at Meadows Place is a nice facility that I would recommend.

We are very happy with them.

We are very happy with them. We are very happy with all of their services. We don't have any complaints about food or not having enough activities and being bored. Things are working out well so far.

They promised a lot when I toured the place and they have backed every one of then up with performance.

Nice place, but there is a lack of care.

It's a nice place, and I liked the majority of the people I have met and dealt with. However the care there is lacking. My loved one ended up with a bedsore from lack of care. I've been told the night staff is argumentative, and I have gotten phone calls because no one answered the call bell for an extremely long time. They were very attentive the first couple of weeks, but after that I felt like we became just another number here.

Very nice looking place

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. We were impressed by what we saw here, it seems like a really good place.

I think the place is outstanding in all areas. Food is wonderful, staff is very friendly and caring. Its a real fun and friendly environment for all the residents. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone.

I moved my mom in here this week after being recommended by a place for mom. The whole process to get her into this place was a mess from the beginning. Seemed very rushed to get us to sign and everything they did seems like a set up. For starters all pricing info was labeled "TBD" instead of giving us a hard price on things. Then when discussing prices everything was written down by the staff on scratch paper and nothing official. All legal docs they used have "TBD" in the pricing in order to give them freedom to bribe you with low costs only to totally shock you once you have signed the lease. They do all of their care fees "a la carte" style instead of care packages like some places and boy does it add up fast!

Extremely nice place though and the staff is all very nice! Very clean and a place I feel very comfortable having my mother at. Just please use caution when signing your loved ones up for this place and demand that they give you a hard price that is on all legal documents signed. Do not fall for their "hurry up and move them in before your space is gone" game and make sure you have security within your documents you've signed.

The Hampton has been a blessing

My mother has been a resident at The Hampton for over a year. I can honestly say that in all this time, I have been extremely pleased.

The staff, from the executive director to the custodians, have been caring and professional. The facility itself is top-notch.

The nurses and aides are patient and loving. They have gone the extra mile for my mom and for me and have become like a second family. This is a difficult time in life for all involved, and they have helped to make both of us as comfortable as possible.

I cannot rate them high enough. God bless these people.

Review of The Hampton at Meadows Place Alzheimer's / Memory Care in Meadows Place, TX

Very large community facility with excellent decor and ambience. Memory unit is well designed and staff are helpful.

Our experience with The Hamptons at M...

Our experience with The Hamptons at Meadows Place has been great! The director, Byron was extremely helpful from the very beginning. He helped to make the transition so smooth. The lady they sent out to do the assessment was very nice and professional. Everything was done in a timely manner. From the administrative staff to the financial person, everyone was very helpful, to not only the family, but resident as well. The nursing staff and housekeepers are very accommodating. They meet all of our needs as far as assistance goes. My mother in law was able to move into a one bedroom apartment, which was very spacious. We just fell in love with The Hampton. We're very pleased with them. In fact, the moment we drove up, my husband and I told our children, we wouldn't mind staying here. Great place.

Review of The Hampton at Meadows Place Alzheimer's / Memory Care in Meadows Place, TX

looks like a large apartment complex

It was good, but it was not the level of care that we needed.

It was good, but it was not the level of care that we needed. We didn't know enough about what was needed, and I don't know if maybe the assessment wasn't very thorough. They had only a few caregivers for a lot of people. I think the patients are expected to be more independent. It was clean but the room wasn't as well kept as I would have hoped. This seems to be more for an independent person. I never really knew how much we were going to pay for place, when I would ask they would give me the base rate, which is vastly different based on care level, that was frustrating.

Very nice place

Overall I think they're doing a good job at The Hampton at Meadows Place. It's a beautiful, well kept facility, and they take great care of the residents here. The staff have all been very friendly and professional.

It was really nice, but couldn't answer the phone on the weekends.

This was a really nice place, I liked it. It was clean and they were friendly. This was where we were going to go, but they weren't able to get back to me on the weekend. I needed to bring my loved one straight from the hospital, and they just weren't available. I feel like this is a 24/7 industry. If something happened while we were there, would it have to wait until Monday? We found another place that went out of their way to get us in when we needed to.

Loved it and will also seriously consider this location.

A wonderful place!

It’s a wonderful place. She likes the food. It has lovely grounds. The staff has been great, very friendly and supportive. The community is clean and well maintained. It’s a good value for the money. The care services are meeting our needs.

Very nice place, overall

We've had a great experience with The Hampton so far. The staff are all terribly friendly and caring, and do a great job looking after their residents. The only complaint I can think of is that they could stand to have a few more activities specifically for their memory care residents.

Pristine facility, beautifu...

Pristine facility, beautiful decor, landscaping, many activities, well managed and reasonable value compared to other facilities that I visited. My #1 choice.

Happy with this community

It is a clean community. The staff is friendly. It’s a very nice community with a large dining room and cheery art on the walls. The residents seem happy. It’s a good idea to know what you’re signing a contract for though.

A good community

I think they’re taking good care of my loved one. It seems to be a really nice place. She’s clean and happy and I guess that’s all that matters. We haven’t had any problems with the laundry so far. I was real pleased with it, which is why I chose it over the others. The other residents seem happy to be there.

Bitter Taste

Everybody was very nice, very kind, but when it came down to telling us the full price before we signed the contract. They did not tell us there was a charge for each and every extra that was done for my mother. There was a lot of miscommunication. I will not go back there again.

Great Place For My Mom

My mother had lived with my husband and I for about 10 years and had been somewhat indedent.
Came to The Hamptons right at 2 months ago and although my mom had her pitty parties everyone at The Hamptons were very, very supportive and really helped her finally get where she needs to be mentally with her new living situation.

Thanks to everyone at The Hamptons

Still adjusting but so far so good

They're doing a good job here, overall. They're providing the care my loved one needs, and although she isn't always happy with what they provide here I feel like they're doing the best that they can. It's a nice looking community, they keep it clean, and the staff are friendly.

Amazing staff

This is just a great place overall. It's always very clean, and the care and activities provided are great. The staff in particular are just outstanding. There's never a frown to be seen, they're always willing to help with anything, and they genuinely seem to love their jobs and the people that live there. Not only do they provide excellent care to the residents, they're a great source of comfort and advice to family members as well. We couldn't be happier that we chose them!

No Outside Area

I was only there for a little bit, but nothing really stood out. The main reason that we didn't choose it was because the memory care was on the third floor and my dad would have had a harder time going outside unless he was chaperoned (which he wouldn't like.) I was also not as homey.

Wonderful staff keeps residents as active as possible

I tell the staff everytime I'm here that they are angels; they're doing a wonderful job with mom and dad. Everytime we go up there, we go at different times of the day, we go and get mother to visit dad and she's dressed nicely and she's clean. i'm so impressed with everybody that we've come in contact with, especially the people in the memory care unit. It must truly be a calling for everyone there. When I go in for meals, just seeing the interaction they have with the residents is increadible. Very rarely did dad ask me when he was going home and that, to me, meant that he was finally comfortable. They get mom and dad out and get them exercising, and the staff intereacts with the residents on a regular basis, they don't like to keep them in their rooms. The assistants there get them up and get them going and I like that.
