When Comparing to Others

The community is beautiful - lots of woods. We had a good tour and everybody we met was nice. They were professional and they were able to give us answers we needed. We needed 3 meals a day and a huge bedroom for a king size bed. When we were shown around the community the bedroom was not large enough. They were not fitting for our needs.

The tour was a bit rushed.

We toured this facility and it was very nice. If anything, the tour was a bit rushed, but it was just fine besides this.

I am the Executive Director. Thank you so much for saying that our community is very nice. I’d also like to say that we aim for a Five Star experience for all of our guests so we ask that you accept our apologies for feeling a bit rushed. Please call me so that I can invite you back to dine with us and enjoy a more leisurely visit to The Forum. I look forward to our time together.

Care and other comfort

This is a nice community for the care. The staff is caring and nice. My mom does like the community, but it does need some small improvements. My mom says that the meals are good and sometimes she is not pleased with the meals. They offer activities for her to participate and she does enjoy that they have a lot of options, but they need more for the residents. We would suggest that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

A tour for dad

we toured this community and liked the environment of the community. the staff was kind and helpful to answer the questions that we had. The menu and the activities would have been helpful for my father. We wanted a more home feeling from a community, but other families should consider this community for care for a loved one.

Parents are Well Since Their Move

My parents are doing well since their move to this community. They haven't complained about anything yet, and I'am comfortable with their move to this community. They have had some turn over since their move, and some changes in the administration. However it isn't a negative issue, it just something new to get use too. This is a good, safe community, and I would recommend it. It is working out well for my family.

I took a tour!

When I was searching for a community for my father, I toured The Forum At The Woodlands. It was a good tour, the tour guide was able to give me good information and answer any questions. The facility itself was clean, and it was a good experience to tour, but I found another place that fit my father's needs a little better.

Enjoyed My Tour

I enjoyed my tour of this community, it is a very nice community. The community appeared to be well maintained, and everything looked nice. The staff was kind, and informative. My questions were answered. I did find another community that was easier to get into overall. However I did like this community.

Updating Needed

I would say my tour of this community was okay. The community appeared to be much older compared to the other community I toured. There is some updating they need to make around the facility. I felt like this community is over priced, considering the appearance of the community.

Friendly Tour

We toured this community for my in laws in their needs. Our tour went well, this is a pretty nice community. Everything appeared to well-kept, and maintained. The staff we met was friendly. It was a good experience, everyone was very kind to us.

Not mom's preference

We toured this community when looking for my mother. It's very large and all one floor. We felt that my mother wouldn't adjust as well because of the size. She also enjoys looking out the window at the trees and the view in the room was of parking lot and people walking by.

We were not impressed.

This is an older community and it did not seem very clean when we toured. The people we met were nice. The rooms were small and they had the feeling of a hospital room.

I am the Director of Sales and our team is very interested in your comments. First, let me thank you for your observation that our people are nice - that means a lot! While our maintenance and housekeeping departments are working each and every day to keep our community attractive - we take your impressions very seriously. We have walked the grounds and buildings to be sure that we are ready to present at our best. I would also like to say that we have a variety of floor plans to accommodate personal preferences and I can show you some options. Please give me a call as I would very much like learn more detail about your experience and how we can improve. Thank you for your consideration.

Care and comfort

This is a very nice community. The price was a little more than what we were looking for, The community was bigger and the structure would have been more for my mom than what she could do financially. I highly recommend that families tour this very pleasant community for the care of a loved one's needs.

Kind Community

I had a a good tour of this community. Everyone was very kind, and courteous. The community looked good, they do a good job with the cleanliness. It was a pretty nice experience, but I didn't feel that this was the community for me.

Spread out floor plan!!

During our tour I had noticed that the complex they had was geared more towards an independent living. It was very spread out and and everyone looked like they had to do everything on there own. I have no complaints of the staff and everything looked neat and well maintained, my mother just needed more assistance then what they had to offer.

Fantastic Community!

The community was always very clean and well maintained. The place had a very warm welcoming feel to it. The staff is wonderful, they were always very friendly with my loved one while she lived there. I would definitely recommend this community to anyone.

Exceeded My Expectations!!

The Forum at the Woodlands is a beautiful community. The staff was very professional and attentive, I went for multiple tours and they answered all of my questions. There is a large variety of activities that stimulate the mind. The place has won awards and is next to a gorgeous lake. The complex also has a pool. The quality of living at this place is amazing. We did not go with this community simply because of location.

Eager Beaver!

I was able to take a tour of this property and I really liked it. The people were very accommodating and willing to bend over backwards to please us. The community was just to big for my loved one. I would recommend this place.

I am the Executive Director and I very much appreciate your positive observations about our property and our people. I would also like to address your comments regarding our size. Our residents and families receive the best of both worlds on our resort- style campus with the clubhouse and the dining pavilion. We see ourselves as a village with a number of smaller, cozy neighborhoods. You can enjoy our services, amenities and an abundance of personal attention while staying in your own neighborhood or you can chose to explore the whole village. I invite you to visit us again so I can personally show you what I mean and introduce you to some residents who think our size is perfect!

Informative Staff !!

The staff was very informative during out tour, they took their time with our visit and gave us a lot of detailed information of the community. It was kept very clean and well maintained with a refreshing smell throughout the facility.

One Of Many Tours

I went to see this community and I felt that if I choose this place I would be paying for it's name. It is a very well kept community and clean. I also found that someone I know is here. Based off the price, this was not in our budget.

Feels like home!

The staff at The Forum at the Woodlands are very helpful and communicate well with the family. The community has a variety of activities offered and she has enjoyed playing bingo. They have a variety of excellent meal choices. They offer four different choices at meal time. I would like to see low sodium options clearly labeled like they do with sugar free options. The community is very well kept and updated throughout.

Review of The Forum at the Woodlands - The Woodlands, TX

Nice facility but rooms are real small

Clean and well maintained

The first thing we noticed when we walked in was the homey atmosphere of the place. Although it is an older facility, it is still kept very clean and well maintained. The staff has always been friendly and willing to help.

Four Stars

I think that The Forum at the Woodlands can improve on maybe getting the residents to be a little more outgoing, like pairing them up with other residents and such. I give them a four - star rating overall.

Very friendly service and staff. Gorgeous grounds and close to shopping and churches.

Rooms too small, and prices too high

We visited this community while looking into care options for our loved one. The price here was just too high, and it isn't based on providing a higher level of service. They are just charging for the premium location, not the services they offer. The 400 square ft. rooms were just too small for two people, especially at the price they charge.

Very nice place

Definitely an older complex, however very well
maintained, welcoming, clean, very active, friendly with a more homey feel as it's
two story town homes are surrounded with lush trees and foliage, very quiet and serene.
Although they had many sizes of apartments I felt like the kitchens were dated and on
the small side. Their social areas were big and with always something happening, it was
obvious residents were happy there. The hallways were narrow and winding. They have a
life alert style pendant.

I liked it and the people were fine

We looked at a lot of different places. This was one of the ones we toured and considered. I liked all of the communities I visited, the people were all fine, and this was no exception. I just don't think this is the right fit for us, my loved ones don't want to leave their home.

Nice place!

We have had some experience with The Forum at the Woodlands in the past, and overall we were very pleased with how things turned out! Everyone is very friendly, and they do a great job taking care of the people that live here. They are definitely worth a look if you are looking into senior living in the area!

The Forum (with Kristin Penney) is definitely an older complex, however very well maintained, welcoming, clean, very active, friendly with a more homey feel as it's 2 story town homes are surrounded with lush trees and foliage, very quiet and serene. Although they had many sizes of apartments I felt like the kitchens were dated and on the small side. Their social areas were big and with always something happening, it was obvious residents were happy there. The hallways were narrow and winding. They have Independent Living from $2875(475sf)-3900(859sf); Assisted Living starting at $5124(479sf) and Memory care(did not discuss). They have a life alert style pendant. A doctor visits once a week, nursing staff from 7am-11pm and medcare throughout the night. Enrollment fee $2500.

The Sooner the Better

We contacted a Place for Mom and from the criteria we gave they suggested 5 different facilities for us to preview. We previewed all and made our decision to relocate to The Forum in The Woodlands.

You cannot start too soon on making the change. After making our selection we had a rummage. Next we made our decision regarding the furniture and supporting items that would fit. We then contacted an auction company to remove and sell the items we were not taking with us. Now the packing begun. Contacted a moving company after interviewing 3 companies and set a date for the move.

A place for Mom will get you started in the right direction. We are very satisfied with our choice.

Friendly staff, decor could use updating

This is one of the options we were considering during our search for senior communities for a loved one. Everyone at this community seemed very nice, the staff were all kind and accommodating. However, the decor and cleanliness at this community turned us off to it. Everything just seemed outdated and a bit run down. The pet-friendly apartment they showed us had all sorts of stains on the carpet.

Small, Home-Like Community

This was our first choice but we couldn't get my mother in and things got to the point where we had to find something for her so we chose another community.

My sister and I were impressed with them. We liked the fact that they were a smaller facility. It's really home-like. It was a place that we could visualize our mother sitting in the recliner and watching television with the other residents. The people there are very, very helpful and quite knowledgeable.

My dad has put down a deposit at The Forum here in The Woodlands! However, he states that he is NOT ready for a move at this point in time! So we are just in a holding pattern of sorts!
