Be Proactive for your family members

My mother-in-law was a client of this facility for a period of just six weeks. She was admitted following a series of strokes. After six weeks, she had developed unrecoverable bed sores...Grade 4/to bone....and died. We learned of the severity only after emergency admission to Piedmont Fayetteville Hospital a week prior to her death. Their wound care was sub-standard. We were not prepared for this result after having paid this facility $9,000/month for care. Be proactive with loved one's care in this facility.

In recent obituary, family thanked the loving staff of Kindred Lafayette. The care received by their loved one was above reproach. Staff helped his days be peaceful.

One of our residents wants others to know he gets the best care. He commends the staff for their dedication and states he is very glad to be here. He said that if there was to be a letter 'A' in Kindred it would be for 'Awesome'

Discusting living conditions

Our family visited this place thinking our Mom was about to be displaced from Assisted Living. I can not tell you how BAD the URINE smell was as we approached to double door foyer entry. It was extremely strong throughout the entire facility. The young lady who showed us around was pleasant, but didn't seem to have much information for us only an updated rate increase sheet. Amazing what the going rate was to live in such poor conditions. Floors were carpeted throughout a good portion. I worked in Nursing Homes in another area of Georgia and have NEVER smelled one like this Between the smell and carpet it made the whole place seem dirty. The rooms seemed dark, cramped and institutional. I pray we never have to be faced with this option for our loved one.

Medicare AND Medicaid, a National Business

We are glad that we did our do dealigence before using this "home". It really help's to read others reviews, and while there never seems to be enough of them on any one site, if you read all of the sites reviews, it adds up. I noticed that Health U.S.News report rated them 3 stars, they did not fair as well in Yelp.

I was there Feb 2015. The administrative staff were friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and did not smell bad. CNAs / LPNs Ingrid B., Hellena M., and Miranda F. were very very very attentive and caring.


The only good thing that they did was clean him every other hour. But other than that it seemed like they couldn't care less about him. He was complaining about discomfort where he had a penal catheter and they ignored it. Well, when they replaced it, they actually put it in wrong and it was causing his urine to go inside of his body. When we noticed that he hadn't peed at all one day we alerted the technicians and they acted like it was normal. Well we finally took him to the hospita l against their recommendations and they immediately admitted him into ICU. This was because his potassium was SO high he could have went into cardiac arrest at any moment. The doctor also said that if we wouldv'e let him sit there he would not have made it two more days. He WILL NOT go back to this horrible place.

To start with the CDC had quarantined the facility after may Aunt was addmitted

No admissions no discharges were permitted due to uncontrollable infections. The facility tried to down play it but in all my life I have never know the CDC to quarantine a healthcare facility. Admitting Doctors were not informed. Administrator or Director of Nurses would not take or return calls

The Medical Director Wendy Goza an internist by education is over rehabilitation services ??? She too failed to return calls.... Then again there are only 2 portable phones for all 160+ patients to use; (no phones in patients rooms) . The operators have to run the phones to the patients.

This facility needs to be closed.......

Lafayette Nursing and Rehab Center accommodates 179 residents. We are Medicare certified and our center also features a 25-bed postacute rehab unit and a 24-bed dementia unit. We have RNs, LPNs and CNAs 24 hours a day. We also have physician services available seven days a week.
