Our loved one has had a positive turnaround!
Golden Living accepted our loved one when almost everyone else refused him. He had been in a really bad facility where they drugged him to the point where he couldn't wake up. He was experiencing withdrawal symptoms in addition to his dementia, which made for a very bad combination of low cognition, severe depression and negative behaviors. Golden Living has worked through this challenging scenario, and has our loved one on a much better track. He no longer sleeps constantly, like he did in the old facility. He seems less depressed. And some of his cognitive abilities have returned.
The staff is much more proactive at attending to his medical needs than the old facility. And they are very good about keeping us informed about what is going on with him.
