No memory care available
I took a tour here but did not decide to move my Mom in. It went fine, there was nothing wrong with the facility, but they didn’t have a memory care unit available and rumor was that the facility was for sale. The staff was very friendly, though, and the person that took us on the tour seemed to be knowledgeable. We met the chef and looked at the menu; everything looked like they had gourmet food. The building wasn’t super clean but it’s more of an old, historic building so there were no smells or anything. They had a few activities like puzzles, lesson, and a library. It seemed like they had something going on every day.
Care and Communication
I like the care that is given from this community. We like knowing that the community is clean and she likes the environment. They residents are always trying to let her know that they have activities for the residents. The community needs some improvements as far as some of the staff are always changing. There has been a language barrier with the staff. We would recommend families to tour this community for the care and value for loved ones care
The tour went well. Loved that they use the elderly waiver right away. [Removed] was great. She was very personable and friendly. However we decided that we do want a facility that has assisted living and memory/long term care. So that does eliminate this site.
Review of Earle Brown Terrace - Brooklyn Center, MN
The place was old and worn down. Hallways and elevators all had chipped paint dented walls and very dirty carpets. There was an odor through out the place. Residents seemed to be further on the spectrum of care requirements and over the place felt too much like a nursing home or continued care facility. The staff seemed very friendly and interacted well with residents. I liked the variety of programs and services offered

I would recommend Earle Brown Terrace. The facility is nice and clean. The staff is friendly and caring. I do feel the nursing staff, and nurses that administer medications could be improved a little bit. Overall we're happy with the services.

My dad seems happy to be here
My dad has participated in the daily exercise classes offered since the first day that he moved in. It is great. He also enjoys walking in the beautiful grounds next door at the Earle Brown Farm. He had friends over for lunch in the cafe and said the food was good. We are happy that he is settling in so well! The staff is very friendly, and the maintenance team has fixed problems with the air conditioner and refrigerator quickly.

Beautiful facility. Great patient and family focused care center. I was very impressed with the Director. She was articulate, well informed, confident and had so much to offer. This was our first choice going into our afternoon visits.

Earle Brown Terrace was built on the famous Earle Brown Farm. We have a history and a culture that welcomes your story and encourages your story to continue on and thrive. Stories have been thriving at Earle Brown Terrace for 25 years. We have 11 stories and are known for the 30 mile views.
We offer independent, and 2 levels of "catered living", which is our own version of assisted living. (All 3 levels of services have 20 dinners provided in the rental package.) The 3 levels of services allow you to choose from a wide variety of support options, reducing the cost of all-day care associated with assisted living. Equally important, catered living enables the "continuum of care" that minimizes the chances you will ever need to move again.
Nursing is provided 7 days a week and awake staff are always available with a minimum of 2 awake overnight staff.
