Customer Reviews

Great place!

I have toured many different retirement communities in Toronto and I was quite impressed with Delmanor Prince Edward. I was able to briefly speak to some of the residents and they spoke highly of the good food and care services they receive. I will be bringing my grandmother back for a tour.

Beautiful place, but a bit on the pricey side. The studio room was a bit small (but priced ok) the one bedroom was the perfect size (but very $). Didn't have as many activities scheduled while I was there, so it didn't look as communal as others. Location was perfect and the building amenities were great. Loved the in suite laundry!

Beware of Inexperienced Health Management

Such a lovely facility and a great place to retire as long as you or loved ones are in great health. However, newer residences such as this one are very inexperienced. Staff is not required to have the level of training that is required in longer term care facilities. As a result, the health staff are not adequately trained to deal with anything other than the most minor of issues. Two hospitals have warned us of problems with this facility's health management due to its lack of knowledge and capability. We are most concerned that someone will get hurt due to incompetence--this facility and other high-end retirement residences often advertise "24 health services" to make family members feel secure. Unfortunately, they cannot deliver on this promise.

You'll want to be here

First class from management on through all employees.

Lovely Facility--Highly Inexperience Staff

This is a beautiful facility: well appointed, great food. A lovely "seniors hotel" in every sense of the word. On the surface, looks like a great spot for mom or dad. Beware, however, of the advertisement for 24/7 nursing staff care. This is misleading. Health staff and management are highly inexperienced--they try and mean well, but are totally untrained to deal with more than a sniffle. Should a more serious health concern appear, our experience was panic, hysteria, and hostility due to fear--a most unfortunate experience. Great spot to live if your loved one is perfectly healthy and stays that way--potentially dangerous if not.

Mom has reguvenated fully, completely , and that at 96 after failure to thrive.
I cannot give a more resounding praise for everything involved( esp the good food) with wth Delmanor Prince Edward residence!!

New chapter, not end of story

EVERYONE has been selected for their friendliness and efficiency or willingness to help. My mother has thoroughly recovered from her " failure to thrive " state and has regained her independence linked with her desire to interact and engage socially ; she has regained ten years; not bad at 96!!!
Visitors are making plans to seek room here!!

Excellent retirement community. The building is new, clean and bright. The staff are exceptional, providing a variety of activities and treating residents with respect in a professional manner.

Delmanor does a good job

We moved into Delmanor Prince Edward in November 2015. We are enjoying our apartment and the opportunities to meet other residents under circumstances that are easy and relaxing. The residents and staff are friendly and helpful and the standard for staff is one of excellence. Our dog is making friends too.

Such a lovely place. Cannot imagine anyone not wanting to live here. Pam gave us a full tour and explained the entire "finding a place for mom" process.
