Customer Reviews

Happy Mom

My mother has lived at Capital Place for 5+ years. She has made many friends and participates in a lot of the activities.
The food is good, the employees go above and beyond for her and she is not driving anymore.....the provided transportation is very important.
My mom is happy and that pleases me.

Really nice and very comfortable. Met several residents during tour. Friendly and close knit community atmosphere. I really like it a lot!

Most amazing retirement community I've seen!

Fantastic Tour

This is a fantastic community, and our tour here was outstanding very professional and they were able to answer all our question. The community is beautiful and well kept up, in fact, this is where we thought our mom was going to come. The amenities were great and the staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend taking a tour and seeing for yourself.

Attentive Staff!!

I have no complaints of how things are going for my mother since she has recently made the move into this community. I like that if she needs any medical help the staff are onsite to help her with any of her needs right away. They have a great activity list as well as a tasty menu for them to enjoy during meal times. I would defiantly recommend them to anyone interested.

Good presentation. But not interested in this site.

My mother's good care

This is a nice community. We like the caring staff who are attentive to her needs for care. They need to make sure that they have enought food to go around. They activiites are helping and she seems to enjoy being able to do things that are offered with the other residents. We do recommend this community for good care and the good value to other families.

Good community but not meeting mom's care needs

They are mostly orientated for independent seniors. There are plenty of residents who have wheelchairs or walkers. They do offer private rooms. They did have an issue with there not being staff over the weekend. My mother needed some assistance getting up and they didn't have a staff member available. I addressed this concern and I was told that they don;t always have someone to help residents. The food is okay it's nothing exciting but they do have a lot of variety. I would like to see more vegetables and healthy options. I think they give good portions for seniors to eliminate waste.I tried a dish there and it wasn't as healthy as it was advertised as and wasn't very exciting. I would like to see her get more involved with stuff. I chose Capital Place because they offered a lot of amenities for an affordable cost.

feels like home

My mom has been at Capital Place for 1 week now. She is very happy. The staff is warm, friendly and helpful. There are plenty of activities to keep busy. The bus is available for her appointments. She loves her apartment. She told me that the place feels like home and that said it all.

We're moving in!

We liked the option of a two bedroom cottage so much we are moving in! The staff has been very helpful and friendly and the location is terrific. We also like the feature of assisted living on the premises as needed. We aren't ready for assisted living yet, but like knowing help is there. It will be great having 3 meals and housekeeping - I'm ready for a break from all that after many years of cooking and cleaning and maintaining a home. We love the option of staying at Holiday facilities around the country when we travel. This is a big adjustment for us, but I think and hope we've found the place we'll be happy for several years. Oh, yes - can't forget being able to have our pets with us (a requirement for us) and covered parking spots.

I Think It Is OK

The community is pretty clean and they staff do a good job keeping it clean. We have activities available to try out and that is okay. I eat from the community and the meals taste good but the staff are pretty slow, it takes too long to get my meals. I have no problems overall and it is going good for me.

very well pleased

The only complaint that my mother has is that the food is a little bland. I know they have a lot of people with heart problems and such and therefore they cannot have a lot of salt or spicy foods, but if there was a way to make the food a little more flavorful that would be good.

Everything else about them has been very positive. I have been very well pleased with the level of care and service we are getting for the money.

Friendly, helpful staff

We found the managers (the Marlowes) to be warm and helpful. My mom-in-law, who is a very picky eater, likes the food!

No Kitchens In The Apartments

They don't even have a little cook stove in the units. You really have to want everything done for you. You have to go downstairs if you want anything in a freezer. You have to go to the meals because there is not way to cook meals in your apartment.

Capital Place has almost become a nuisance because they keep calling and calling. My sister loves their food. They invite you over to eat when you're looking for a place. That would be a perfect place for her but she can't afford it. It's very convenient to things. That's why I checked into it. It's almost right across almost from the mall.

Nice, comfortable place

My Dad is really the one living here. I visit every couple of weeks. Clean place. Lots of activities. Nice people running the place.
