About Cape Cod Senior Residences - Pocasset, MA

Cape Cod Senior Residences is a unique 100% affordable community offering the best value in senior housing on Cape Cod! It is open to individuals 65 years or older whose incomes are at or below 60 percent of the area median income.

The creation of Cape Cod Senior Residences was spearheaded by the Barnstable County Commission which designated the site of the former Barnstable County Hospital on County Road in Pocasset for development. Sharing the vision of the County Commissioners, the local nonprofit Housing Assistance Corporation and developer Realty Resources Resources Chartered formed a public-private partnership to build this affordable housing and healthcare option for Cape Cod seniors.

As one of our resident's daughter puts it, " I finally acknowledged that Mom wasn't really living "independently" at home- she was just living alone. When she moved, I was so relieved. I no longer have to worry about whether she is taking her medications or eating healthy meals.

When we visit now we really talk and enjoy each other's company. I'm no longer the "caretaker" - I'm a daughter again!"
