Skilled Nursing at The Vista at VII
The Vista at Air Force Village II provides 24-hour skilled nursing care, and is licensed by the State of Texas Department of Human Services. Short-term, skilled nursing and rehab-to-home care are available to assist military retirees and other Medicare patients in recovering from surgery, injury or illness. Set amid 660 acres of rolling countryside, the Air Force Village II retirement community is located a few miles west of San Antonio.
Skilled care and rehabilitation are led by a team of experienced professionals, including physicians and nurse practitioners, nurses, therapists, and a dietitian and social worker. Our goal is to enable you to return to the home and life you love … quickly and safely. Air Force Village rehabilitation services have achieved an incredible 90% success rate in patients regaining sufficient independence to return to their residences.
Daily social activities offer residents the opportunity to enjoy the company of others, including a host of dedicated volunteers. Residents are encouraged to engage in stimulating events to keep mentally and physically active, including social, recreational and spiritual programs.
The Vista earned a rare and significant "zero clinical deficiencies" assessment from the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services - affirming the exceptional health care available to Air Force Village residents and other Medicare patients.
