Newly renovated+new ownership= a fabulous “new” facility
I’m a medical social worker and visit a patient in this facility monthly. Prior to Cypress buying this facility in 2013, I would not have recommended them. Times have changed, and Cypress has made grand positive changes both cosmetically and with their staff. I am in different nursing homes regularly, and this is the only facility where the staff greets me, doesn’t avoid eye contact with me, and I witness examples of caring nurses and aides when I’m there. The memory care unit always has an activity going, and has big bright windows. The remodeling is fabulous. There are big photographs with lots of color of joyful children and the elderly. Seeing these pictures makes me happy and smile every time. Give them a chance, take a tour, and meet their staff.
This place is run by a company that just wants their pay check. I have noticed employees are over worked with no help. My mother went 3 weeks without a shower. I called administration and they just kept giving me empty promises. If you truly care about your family DO NOT send them there.
My mother was a patient here and they constantly ran out of her medications leaving her to go days without it the nursing staff was not very friendly they always stated they were short of help. Beware
My sister is in rehab and her progress is amazing. The staff are so supportive of her desire to return home. Therapy are giving her so many ideas to care for herself on return to her home. The nursing staff are so polite and take time to answer her questions.
