Customer Reviews

This place was a disappointment, first because our guide was not there, the receptionist had to show us around instead and second, the building layout was awkward. Heavy rain downpour showed us their entrance is in the wrong place to the parking area. Mom would not be happy here.

Mom's Care

This is a nice community. The staff is excellent and very caring for the needs that need to be taken care of . The food appears to be good. We are happy that they do have activities for others who want to join in and stay active. I would recommend this community for good care for others.

They do allow pets if the residents are able to care for them!!!

Mom is still adjusting to living at Woodcrest. It has been a tough transition but she likes the staff and I think this will help with the transition. She likes the food and they do offer different choices. One of the reasons I chose this community is that it is bright, clean and the staff always say hello. Mom does like the bible study they offer. I would recommend this community.

Woodcrest is a very nice place.

Woodcrest is extremely considerate of the residents. They keep me informed of my mom's doctor appointments and her daily routine. She likes it there. She has a new roommate. It is extremely clean. There are a lot of activities and twice a month outside activities. Bingo, workout class, movies, puzzles, they do activities based around the holidays. She likes the majority of the food, and they are accommodating and will make a grilled cheese if she doesn't like the menu options. Woodcrest is a very nice place for someone who needs a little bit of help.

My mother moved into Woodcrest one month ago and she is really enjoying all the activities and the ability to be able to talk to other people. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. She loves going to the dining room for meals and always enjoys the food and conversation with the other residents.

not what we expected

Our father has been living here for almost 2 years now. [removed] The facility kept ordering medication she no longer needed or used. They haven't followed through on dispensing her meds as instructed. They don't have a clue what a diabetics blood sugar level should be.
We've had to go to the desk for toilet paper because their room had none.
This one takes the cake, they've cancelled Dr's appts and rescheduled them for a different date time without authorization from us, the ones that make and take him to his appts.
So we are starting the process of looking for a new place for Dad to live in as for supposedly assisted living means just providing the room

going well

Woodcrest Commons is going well. I and my other siblings absolutely love what they are doing for my mother. She is getting settled in and getting good care there. I am very pleased with this facility so far.

Very Happy

My Mom has been at Woodcrest for about 5 years. We worked through some kinks with meds, hearing aid service, roommates, and difficult residents, but overall I am very happy with Woodcrest. They have addressed every issue with care and worked through resolution. Mom is very happy there and has made friends. They are also affordable, as far as assisted living goes. Mom has been in two previous facilities, which were a bad experience.

Mom has been there only a short time ...

Mom has been there only a short time but the staff has been really helpful with helping mom get adjusted. I know this has been tough for mom with such a big change but
we know that she will be taken care of.

When we arrived at our scheduled time...

When we arrived at our scheduled time, no one was aware of us coming. The directors assistant was actually the person that walked us through the facility. She was very apologetic and friendly but shared that she was very new to the facility and was still learning where things were located. We did ask a few questions that she tried her best to answer. The facility was very nice and there were many residents out and about and were very social with us.
