Nice Tour, Informative

I had a nice tour of this community. Everyone I met was very kind, and friendly. The community looked good from what I was shown. The staff was very nice, and helpful. My tour guide was informative, and answered. It was a good experience, but unfortunately this was not a good location for us.

Husband, and Myself Doing Great

My husband, and I am really enjoying our time in this community. It is a wonderful community, and we are comfortable with our move here. This is a great community, and everyone has been wonderful. The staff is very kind, and they provide a positive atmosphere for the residents. There are plenty of activities offered for the residents. The community is very well-kept, and they do a great job with the cleanliness. My friends have come to visit us, and they like this community. All is well for us since our move to this facility, and I would recommend it. It is a wonderful place.

Pleasant Tour, but Not A Good Location for Us

We had a nice tour of this community. Everything went well, and everyone was kind. The community was nice, and clean from what we were shown. The staff we met was kind, and helpful. The experience went well overall. Unfortunately the location of the community was not convenient for us to travel too.

Care and patience

This is a nice community for great care. The staff we have found to be very attentive and caring. The community is clean and maintained. The meals are health and a nice variety. They do offer activities for the residents. We found this to be a great place and would recommend the care and value.

Whispering Pines - a gem in North Raleigh

My mother is slowly getting used to her new home. The staff and residents have gone out of their way to make her feel welcome. The location is perfect, just minutes from our house. The cost is reasonable, food and facilities are great, and the activities offered are fun and varied. We chose this place over others because it had a warm, relaxed and welcoming feel. The managers and staff are all extremely caring and treat the residents as if they were their own parents or grand parents. Talk about peace of mind!

The Tour I Had

When we toured this community my mom was not happy with they had to offer. The basics were good but she didn't see what she liked and decided to pick a different community.

I toured this community for the care of both my parents. The staff were friendly and were able to answer my questions on the care that is available here. They had a good variety of meals if my parents would have wanted to enjoy the dining area. I I would recommend this for families for the care and the value.

A great place!!

We were looking into another community that was not open yet and they told to come here to see what the new one would be like. This community was a little to far away for us. It is a gorgeous community that offered a movie area and a bistro. The staff were nice and helpful.

I would give them a five plus!

So far we have been pleased. We haven't had any issues at all. The maintenance and service of the facility itself, are wonderful. The people are exceptionally friendly, and helpful. The cleanliness is right at the top they go out of their way to maintain that place. The mangers live there on site so they are always there. The food is excellent, better than we ever could have expected. They were hands down the best place we saw there was no two ways about it. I would give them a five plus!

The staff is friendly, and it's kept up pretty well.

It's been a rough adjustment, but we haven't had any complaints about the community. The staff is friendly, and it's kept up pretty well. The food seems to be okay, and we haven't had any billing issues. It's not home, but it's not a bad place.

A great place for senior independent living.

Staff has been super in helping my father with the move in. The place is always clean and food is very good.

said they had assisted services

Part of their pitch to bring my mom up to Whispering Pines was they said they had assisted services but I am finding I have seek outside help on some things. They are only doing physical therapy with her and I really need a companion for her. The activities are not spectacular and I would say need improvement. They are pretty good most of the time but I feel like they could add a few more things.

Great decision for mother-in-law

We had a very small window of time to find a place for my mother-in-law. We visited several local properties. While each had it's own unique feel and personality, Whispering Pines was chosen for my mother-in-law. There were a number of reasons for our decision. One was that after seeing and talking to some of the residents we felt she would fit in at Whispering Pines. We had lunch there the day of our tour and the food was not only outstanding but we were very impressed that managers participated in the serving of the food. Steve and Roxanne knew each resident by name and interacted in a very friendly, caring and understanding manner. This put our minds at ease knowing our loved one would have some one-on-one interaction without feeling like she had a "baby sitter." The other deciding factor was the price. For the amenities included we didn't find a better deal. Being a newer facility and having such great staff we feel Whispering Pines is the perfect place for her.

It was a brand new place, with nice art, and flowers

It was a brand new place, with nice art, and flowers, and china everywhere. It's pretty big, and they have onsite dining and an activities coordinator. They had a movie theater with stadium seating. The only negative thing was, they had a chef on duty, but you would sometimes see him busing tables, and they would have a menu printed out, but it was wishy washy, and they didn't always serve what was on the menu. The coffee was horrible too. The service times were very regimented, and they didn't have kitchenettes, and if you were late they would get a little uppity with you.

Very clean facility. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food.
The only thing that I would change is the availability of a Medicare approved home health service. Everything else is great.

Very nice looking place!

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. I thought this was a very nice looking place, and probably my favorite that I toured. Everyone was very friendly, and the facility had a lot to offer the people who live here.

Whispering Pines is a wonderful community.

Whispering Pines is a wonderful community. I give it top scores all across the board. The staff is friendly, and it's a clean place. We don't have any complaints, nothing we would like to see improved. They are wonderful.

Couldn't be happier

My mom moved in shortly after the community opened. She was hesitant to move into a well established community because she worried about being the new kid on the block. With WP being new, everyone was starting from scratch, but they've been very friendly to newer residents, which has made it easier for them to transition from a house to an apartment. She loves her apartment, she's made many friends and is happier than she's been in years.

The building is brand new and the handimen are always willing to help and new features (door bells, hand rails, shower heads, etc.). The staff is excellent. The food is fine - mostly very good with a few misses - and plentiful. There are many options to chose from if you're a picky eater. Everything is freshly made, including bread. Families are welcome anytime and many evenings you'll see at least a few visitors in the dining room. There are a lot of fun activities that are well attended and bus service to appointments, which is convenient.

I was apprehensive at first because my mom resisted making the move to a senior community for many years but she's thrilled (and so am I).

Our Whispering Pines Experience

My mother has been at Whispering Pines on Lead Mine Road in Raleigh, North Carolina for three weeks today and we are both extremely pleased. All of the services and amenities are geared toward her independent senior living. She has a beautiful space where she's having an active life at a reasonable cost. Great detail and attention have been devoted to atmosphere, cleanliness, safety, privacy, creature comforts, and necessity.
The meals are bountiful, nutritious, beautifully presented, and delicious!
My mother delights in the entertainment provided and the cordiality of everyone we've encountered.
Cynthia, our sales manager was fabulous! I am so grateful to her & all of of the in-house managers, cleaning staff, dining staff, and especially Miss Linda, the activities director. My mother loves the activities!
Care services are not needed at this time and with the healthy lifestyle there, we hope they won't be.
What great peace of mind for the both of us! Thanks.

It's an excellent facility!

It's an excellent facility! She likes it a lot, and we like it a lot. She is happy, and we are happy. The one thing that we aren't happy with is that the van is not handicap accessible. The food is pretty good, there are some things, they make that aren't as good, but I would say 4 out of 5. They have good people there too.

We love them they are wonderful.

We love them they are wonderful. It's brand new. We shopped around and they were the best value, they are one of the few that gives three meals a day. They are really good chef prepared meals, and they are very gracious and very accommodating. There is always something going on. The movie theater. Everything so far has been working out very well, and nothing is too much for them to do. The open house that they did was just incredible. They were going to be taking up the dining room so they made sure to give all the residents a box lunch ahead of time. The residents got to participate in the open house. The coolest thing they did though, was that morning at breakfast, they thanked the residents for allowing the staff to throw a party in their home. Their philosophy is you don't live where we work, we work in your home. They were amazing at responding.

The staff is amazing, I would give them a ten.

It's brand new and clean. The staff is amazing, I would give them a ten. They go above and beyond. They have only been open about a month, and they are adding new activities all the time. I've eaten there at least ten times myself and the food is very good. If you don't like anything, they will make you something else. It's part of a chain, and is well funded. We liked that it was new and that she wasn't going to be the new kid on the block, and they work very hard to make sure nobody feels that way.

Great Place for Seniors

Whispering Pines is a brand new facility and thus it is in top notch condition. The food is really good and the staff is really helpful. They were significantly delayed in their opening because of issues with inspections, however, they bent over backwards to assist with extra costs my mother incurred in extending her apartment lease. They had some issues with moving everyone in when they did open. None of the staff had experience with moving so many in all at once. But things have evened out now.

They had a fabulous and very impressive grand opening in April.

My mother's apartment is roomy and quite gorgeous. (Of course, it is her own furnishings) but she has a large one bedroom apartment and very adequate storage space and living space.

So far Whispering Pines has exceeded my expectations and my mother is VERY happy there. The place is beautiful and very natural light filled. My complaint with some of the other spaces we looked at before choosing Whispering Pines was that the spaces were dark. This surprised me for a senior living community.

The staff is very personable and helpful and there are many activities and a happy hour once a week.

Visited Whispering pines on...

Visited Whispering pines on April 27 at the open house. Had a more southern feel about it. Very comfortable. Looked at several rooms, lots of closet space all doorways appear to be wheelchair accessible. Refrigerators full size. Best price seen, most utilities included no move in community fee. Still need to have a few questions answered regarding home health care if these are answered to our satisfaction we will probably move Dad to this location.

It's Great!

It's really only been a week that my Dad has taken up residence. All criteria has only been in place for a week.
Having said that. It seems like a wonderful place. I'm sure my Dad will be very happy here. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The décor is beautiful. It is a great value for the money. It's in a great location.

Facility is not open yet. Residents living in teporary facility seem very happy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location and affordable. Looking forward to trying meals. Like that some rooms have balconies.

I loved the people I met and it's in a good location. I put down a general deposit on an apartment but need to visit the property once it has opened.
