HAPPY AND SATISFIED
I HAVE HAD LOVED ONES IN OTHER NURSING HOMES AND SEEN HOW NEGLECTED PATIENTS CAN BE. HERE AT WESTCHESTER EVERYONE IS FRIENDLY, OUTGOING, AND VERY INTO THEIR PATIENT. OF COURSE THEY HAVE A TURNOVER THIS IS A UNDERPAID AND OVERWORKED JOB
BUT THEY DO THEIR BEST TO KEEP ON TOP OF PEOPLES'
NEEDS. TO ME THAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON, I
WISH I COULD HAVE FOUND THIS PLACE SOONER
The Facility is very unfriendly for nurses and RCS,s always short of staff, constant change of Nurses and RCS. The turnover for nurses and RCS is monthly to every three months.
Management shows no concern for the patents, they are very good when it comes to sitting at their desk and walking the halls but not helpful to the residents. example when the RCS are challenged the management will not assist with passing water on the floor to patients, they will not assist with passing meals in the dining rooms, simple things that you do not have to be certified to do. you have lots of desk workers and no floor workers
Nurses have to stop passing medication and monitoring patients to monitor residents in the dining room off the unit for over and hour for meals, while management sit and eat in their offices,
There has to be a problem with the facility if RCS and Nurses are always being hired and leaving the facility, maybe the facility need to stop blaming the people that are leaving and look at what's making them leave.
your MDS staff take care of every issue in the facility the only management you can talk to and feel comfortable.
