About The Open Door Adult Family Home - Spokane, WA

The Open Door Adult Family Home offers 24-hour personal care in a home setting. Residents enjoy the privacy of their own spacious bedroom, several common areas for group interaction and visits from family & friends, and the tranquility of our beautifully manicured property sitting on nearly a half acre. You'll rest comfortably knowing your loved one is in our home and in our care. Please come by for a visit and see for yourself.

We have a unique caregiving model at The Open Door, with two experienced and nurturing women who work together as a team. With one of our primary caregivers always present and ready to help, residents are comforted by having a familiar face around them at all times, versus new caregivers swapping in-and-out every 8 or 12 hours. This consistency also enables us to observe and identify any subtle changes to your loved one’s health or well-being, no matter how small, so that we can address the issues immediately.

Our primary caregivers are supported by Frank Skwara, a registered nurse of over 30 years with a specialty in geriatric care, along with daily caregivers that come in to support our primary caregivers with meal preparation, bathing, activities and other duties during the day.

We believe this team-oriented approach to caregiving provides residents with the best environment to keep them secure, healthy and happy.

Our home is 4,600 square feet and sits on nearly half an acre of property on Spokane's South Hill. Please contact us to schedule a time to view the home and meet our team. You will rest comfortably knowing your loved one is in our home and in our care.
