Customer Reviews

Apartments are very roomy and being remodeled and updated. Some are quite a distance from clubhouse and walkway is outdoors but covered. Each unit has its own laundry room and walk in closet. Activity rooms older and less modern than other facilities. Independent living only. Friendly people and budget friendly allowing for money for care if needed.

Very accommodating

Everything I have asked the staff to do for my Father, they have done. They are wonderful at accommodating my dad. The apartments are really nice and they just renovated them. For activities, they offer things like a pool to swim in, bingo, and trips out into town. My dad also really seems to like the food. If he doesn’t like what’s on the menu, there are other options for him to choose from. I would recommend this facility to other famiies.

The grounds were amazing, this was a total independent living community. Residents are welcome to hire out services. Depending where your place is you could end up a long ways from an elevator. Staff was friendly but did not see very much interaction with residents.

A Good Insight Of The Community

This is nice community but more for independent residents. If help is needed they will require outside help, they are limited. From what I saw it was clean and well managed, but it was not as inviting. It was too bare and maybe a little more furniture would be nice and more cozy.

Lovely place

Thus far I'm very pleased with Echelon Senior Living. I just moved my ex there. The studio apartment is quite spacious compared to many other places. They offer a choice of carpet or wood floors. The grounds are well kept and the landscaping is attractive. The meals are very good as is the service. Everyone is very friendly. Very good value as well

More Cleaning Would Be Better

I scheduled a tour of the community and found that it was not going to work for me. I believe they need to do a better job cleaning so no lingering odors are around.

I Do Not Recommend

It has totally changed. When Ms. Dana was there it was wonderful. They now have 2 ladies that are miserable and being unfair. It feel like you have to walk on eggshells and have very bad personalities. They will walk away while talking to them. We were there for 2 years and the showers did not work, the gate from my back porch was broken, and got into an argument about replacing a torn carpet. A lot of my friends have moved out and I do not recommend this community.

Good Care for me.

I am happy with this community. The staff is very caring and helpful for my needs. They do offer activities for those who want to be active. The community is always very clean. I highly recommend this community to other families for good care.

I Like It Alot

Everybody is really nice here. The care and safety is always here. The food is good and taste good. The community kept clean at all times. There has been 2 activities and I wish there would be more outings. I would otherwise recommend them to family and friends.

Outstanding value. Large rooms for the value; all day dining allows ultimate flexibility.

This is well managed and well organized. The apartments are very nice. One of the things that puts this place over the top is the quality of the residents in general. They are very nice and very friendly, and I really enjoy interacting with them. There are some complaints, but the food is good, and you can't always provide food that everybody likes. The menu is varied, and they have a menu for diabetics. They hit a broad scale of food. The kitchen is open from 7 AM - 6:30 PM. You can sit down and have a meal after doctor's appointments. The staff that serves us is young, and they are absolutely incredible. They remember our names and remember our likes and dislikes. It sits on 8 acres, and has over 200 palm trees. There are all kinds of flowers. The campus is beautiful, and there's a lot of room in between communities. It's very well maintained.

A great place

The apartments there are very nice and spacious with lots of amenities. We like the fact that there is a full kitchen. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The maintenance staff also deserves to be mentioned because they keep the place very clean and when we need something fixed, they are right on top of it. We do wish that there were more activities to keep the residents more social, but this is a great place.

They are doing wonderful.

They are doing wonderful. We don't have any major concerns. Even the food is very good. I would rate them very highly. I like the fact that they had a full kitchen, and they had a washer and dryer in the units.

A good experience

My experience with The Echelon Senior Living has been good. My loved one lives at this facility. It is always clean. The staff is definitely very friendly. My loved one is well taken care of.

Really Great

The food is great. The people are great. My apartment is great. They clean once a week the apartments. Laundry in the apartments. They give us rides to Walmart and casinos and other places. I really like it here.

very impressed

They do everything very well. I have been very impressed, and mom is really happy. The maintenance staff is great.

One thing I can think of where they could improve would be to have more and wider variety of activities, as well as a way for new residents to be encouraged to participate in them and get involved.

Other than that it has been a great experience.

Just what we were looking for

I found The Echelon with a connection to the "A Place for Mom" advisers. We moved my Mother-in-Law in almost two months ago and she is adjusting better than we anticipated. She told me she feels stronger now is happy with the amount of space in her apartment, her patio, the grounds and the people.
She now has the socialization and activities that were lacking while she lived in our home. At almost 88, she has regained her independence and enthusiasm. My husband and I are thrilled to hear reports of her taking the shuttle to go shopping or to attend a concert. Last week she announced that she was tired because she was dancing the night before in the recreation room!
The staff is always helpful, efficient and very pleasant! The other residents are positive, friendly and seem very happy.
We've shared many meals with Mom in the dining room, and enjoy the food very much ourselves.
The Echelon is the right environment for Mom, as she is in good health and can now enjoy life on a different level.

New to senior living

Mom has been there a month and has settled in nicely. She likes the meals and loves the well kept grounds. She is shy and has not done activities not been encouraged to do so by anyone. It would be nice if staff was a little encouraging on that, maybe a stop by her place. As for maintenance and housekeeping excellent.

I feel welcome here

I've really been made to feel welcome here at The Echelon Senior Living, not only by the staff, but also by the residents. It is a very warm and friendly environment. I have really enjoyed it here and would highly recommend it.

I am writing this review to inform pe...

I am writing this review to inform perspective tenants to beware of the head staff! The manager at transition from Destinations at Eastern and Echelon is a bully. I installed my patents at Destinations on Eastern two years ago last winter and out of nowhere she came up with new charges! Insurance fees of $400 ea for the two scooters my parents own, charges of $35 a month for a covered pkg space they had already been assigned and various other "addt'l." Charges my parents could not afford! This does not include the customary rise in rent! My folks had made friends there, attended the social events, etc., but this woman not work with them so my father became embarrassed and angry and told her were moving. She dud not respond well to his authority over his own destiny and became boligarent ! She cast them from ever coming onto the property again, although my 84 yr old father and Stroke victim 71 yr old mother had never said a harsh word nor caused any trouble. She had a vendetta and enforced it.
About 6 months after they left the newly minted Echelon, their great friend and upstairs neighbor, Simon, died. My parents were invited, expected at the memorial in the Echelon events room by Simons girlfriend and were re-buffed by this manager. She enforced her vendetta even in time of mourning!
I would advise anyone considering moving here to interview these managers carefully, although they do cone and go, like the great prices you're quoted upon first inspection.
This was our experience and I hope yours is a better one, but I don't think it will be since my folks really are about as calm and thoughtful a people around.

Echelon Review by Echelon Resident

I moved from a senior facility in Chicago to Echelon Senior Living in Las Vegas in October of 2014. I find the Echelon LV to be a top senior facility in all aspects of senior living. The staff is well trained , helpful and friendly, The dining room food features a wide variety of food daily and is excellently prepared and served. The grounds are well maintained and include beautiful palm trees and flowers. Wonderful to look at. The overall facility was newly remodeled and is attractive, clean and comfortable . There is a full slate of daily activity and off property trips, with all transportation provided by Echelon. Overall the Echelon is an excellent senior living apartment complex. And the monthly cost is quite reasonable. I plan to be a resident of Echelon for an extended period of time.

My Testomonial

I have been a resident at The Echelon for more than 9 years and have been experiencing the finest complex living arrangement in the Las Vegas area. The advantages offered, the cleanliness, the service related to all aspects are top grade, also includes the variety of spacious apartments with full kitchens and washer and dryer.

Looked nice

My husband and I looked at this location briefly, and it seemed nice enough. It was clean, attractive, and the staff were friendly. We ultimately decided that assisted living was not what we were interested in at this point in our search.

From the Community

Living at The Echelon means being a part of an active, vibrant community. Enjoy delicious all-inclusive dining, a wealth of social activities and the freedom to explore your interests. There are countless opportunities to connect, grow and live up to your full potential.
