Customer Reviews

Nice place, good vibe but wanted something closer if possible.

Check out this community

This is a really nice community and it was our second choice. The staff members I met were friendly and knowledgeable. This community offers transportation and nurses on staff.

Very Nice Tour

I toured this community for my father and his needs. It is a very nice community with kind. From what I saw the community looked nice and well-kept. The staff was very friendly, and informative. All my questions were answered. The experience went well.

Good Aids At This Community

My mother seems to be doing well here at this community. She is still adjusting, but I know she in good hands. This a lovely community, everything is very nice and clean, and well maintained. The aids are great, and very willing to work with me to figure out the best care plan for her. It has been a very positive experience, and I would recommend this community.

Unsafe and unscrupulous

Please take my advice and do not place your precious loved ones at this facility. Both of my parents fell ill at the same time.Being an only child with a small child of my own and a full time job, I was forced to place them at this facility because it was the most affordable. I now understand why all of the other assisted living facilities are twice the price of this dump. Their staffing is minimal and includes LPNs that have to be shared between the "houses" at night, so there is no licensed nurse on premises at times. The assistant staff is what you would expect, I suppose, (neck tattoos, bad teeth, etc.)in this neighborhood and for the low wages offered. They are pleasant enough, though. My main issue is that when my mother passed away, I was sent a pro-rated bill that included the interim 3 days between her death and when I came to collect her belongings. No one informed me that I would be charged rent during this time and I do not think it is fair to expect someone to come clean out their deceased family member's belongings immediately or be charged $92 per day. The hospital bed was a rental and had already been picked up. All that remained was clothing in the closet which could have easily been boxed up in the event they had someone beating the door down to rent the room, which I'm sure they did not. I asked for proof that they had turned away residents because the room was not completely empty and was refused, presumably because it does not exist. They are just trying to grab the last little bit of money they can because that's what they are about--money not caring for your loved ones.

Very nice place!

We're very pleased with how things have turned out at The Courtyards! It's a nice looking clean place, and it has a very comfortable homelike atmosphere. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and I really appreciate that if my Dad ever has any issues all I have to do is ask and they're always happy to help! I would highly recommend the place!

The courtyard for assisting living on Inskip road is absolutely awful. They hire people who don't care for one and who just wants to stay on there phone. They have had to fire the last manager due to lack of care and the nurse that hands out the meds wAs fired from a previous place cause of mishandling the meds. My grandmother was put here by my grandfather who was stupid to believe this sick place, they lie to u and manipulate you into thinking they are taking care of the patients. They don't watch them, when the people come during the day to see their loved ones they put on a front like they care but once u leave or your not on there ass yourself, they will stay on their phones the whole time or go outside for a smoke break. I came in one night to see my grandmother and she was locked in a closet on the floor crying, I asked the women where she was and she said in her bed, I had to look for my grandmother is several rooms before I heard a loud cry from a closet, just horrible and horrific. Your just asking for them to slowly kill your loved ones if you place them there, but hey some families want that, most people wouldn't even come see there loved ones and just leave them there to die. Each person living there would even cuss at the workers cause of how violent they would be to them. I've reported this place numerous times. They also try to keep people there who have severe Alzheimer's that don't need to be there at all just so they can have more money in their pocket. Moral of story don't put your loved ones here at all.

Amazing Home Environment with a Caring and active community

The Courtyards Senior Living Assisted Living Facility is TOP NOTCH! I encourage everyone to look at their website and their Facebook to see first hand a beautiful home with a very caring and active community.

From the Community

OUR PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT. It starts from the top of our organization and reaches all members of our team. We have adopted the Eden Alternative philosophy of care, and this has become the culture of our organization. One of the main tenets of the Eden philosophy is to eliminate Loneliness, Helplessness, and Boredom. All of our activities and interactions with our residents are with this in mind.
OUR BUILDINGS ARE DIFFERENT. All of our buildings are small with no more than 18 rooms, ensuring the best quality of care and highest staffing ratios in the industry. All of our buildings have open air kitchens, which enable our residents to see and smell their meals being prepared, stimulating their appetites. Our new residents typically gain weight. We are the only community in this area that has our Assisted Living and Memory Care in separate dedicated buildings.
