From the Community

For an assisted living experience unlike any other, look no further than San Nicolas II. This facility is only for elderly women, and only 10 patients are accepted at a time to provide individualized care to each woman. Located in Tuscon, Ariz., San Nicolas II offers one-of-a-kind senior care and a plethora of activities to keep your mother active and sharp. Each week, the ladies of San Nicolas II take a field trip. The trip is always different, but the goal is always to have fun, new experiences. The facility has an amazing arts and crafts program, which allows your mom to be creative and improve her motor skills. San Nicolas II also features a Cool Cooking Program that provides senior citizens with the opportunity to experiment with new and exciting recipes and eat tons of delicious food. The women at this assisted living facility are treated as family and are encouraged to treat each other as such. Every patient is encouraged to truly get to know the other women in the hopes of forging lasting, strong friendships. The staff at San Nicolas II provide ample opportunities for bonding and ask that the women support and encourage one another. While the women are asked to become pillars of support for one another, this does not mean that the staff is lackluster or hands-off. In fact, it is quite the opposite; the staff of San Nicolas II treats every patient as they would their own mother or grandmother. Assistance is available with all daily living tasks, such as bathroom use, dressing and grooming. Medication assistance is also offered to each patient. Give your mother a senior care experience that is like no other at San Nicolas II. The high-energy atmosphere keeps the women young both in mind and in spirit.
