Customer Reviews

Property is not well maintained as I had expected for a senior community.

Excellent Senior Living

Clean & well maintained facility, warm & friendly staff, weekly transportation to Kroger & Walmart. My mom loves the friendliness of other residents -- it feels like family. She is very happy at Magnolia Manor.

My uncle has a one-bedroom independent living apartment on the fourth floor. He moved from a large city in Texas to Macon to be close to family and has settled in very well. His apartment is nicer than the one-bedroom apartment he was renting independently in the other city for the previous 27 years. The daily meal is generally very good, with plenty of healthy and tasty choices. The public areas are well-maintained and clean, and visitors are always welcomed. The other residents are friendly and helpful, and my relatively shy uncle has felt accepted. We thank the Lord every day for Magnolia Manor.

3/6/18-Apartment just opened up and we're in the process of getting my mom into it.
Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Residents are happy. Grounds beautifully maintained. Quiet and serene location. Video of our visit on 2/23/17 can be found on YouTube. Search for [name removed] and you'll see the video.

My experience

We went to tour this community and after making an appointment there was no one there to meet us at the community. The person we spoke to was nice. We went on the weekend and when we arrived the office was closed. What we saw of the community looked nice. They say they offer quite a variety of activities.

They talk a lot about all the things they will do when they are "selling" you into the place, but then when you are there it is a continuous effort to try to get them to actually DO those things (laundry, medicines, bathing assistance). Usually there is some excuse about staffing issues, but it definitely gets frustrating. Some staff were wonderful and kind, others not so much. We eventually gave up on having them do medicines, because they were always messing them up. It is funny to me that they have a picture of the pool up, because it seemed like it was always out of order.

On a waiting list. Could take up to 1-1/2 years for availability. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Residents are happy. Grounds beautifully maintained. Quiet and sincere location. Video of our visit on 2/23/17:

Beautiful grounds apts 1 bedroom and studios tiny w/no kitchen efficiency hotel look , cost extremely expensive for the size and what services will be used

The staff is friendly. The facility is clean and organized. The prices are reasonable.

We like it. My loved one likes it.

We like it. My loved one likes it. She says the food here is wonderful. They have an activities calendar. They were less expensive for more services here. The price was locked in and there aren't a lot of extra or hidden fees. Every room in the apartment is wheelchair accessible. They call a lot and let us know every thing that is going on. It would be nice if it was a little bit smaller of a community.

Great place for someone with demitia that needs some help with their daily care

We moved my 89 year old mother in on Feb 5th of this
S year. She was very excited about the move and having a smaller place. We had looked at several places in the Macon area and Magnolia offered everything we were looking for. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Toni is always smiling and right on top of things. It has been a life saver for us.
My Mother is happy and very comfortable there.
Thanks to Kim for her help in finding the right place for our dear Mother.
