Customer Reviews

Liked it but didn't want too.

Very Happy!!

My aunt has recently made the move into this community and so far we are very happy with how things are going for her. The staff have been excellent and I am comfortable with the care she has been receiving. She has been enjoying the dinning experience as well as all of the great meals the chef prepares for the residents. They also have a great activity program and different events going on throughout the week to keep everyone busy.

We like this home. Would like to start off with a respite, but if it works out , permanently. Waiting to hear back from them for an opening.

Warm and Friendly Home for Mom.

The site is warm and friendly. The converted farm house gives the residents the feeling of home. It is located in a middle class community with caring neighbors. Watching the family interaction of the kids playing and the parents supervising in the neighborhood from the windows and porches help the residents keep a smile on their faces. The competent staff makes the residents feel special. .

They have been absolutely wonderful to her.

They are great. They have been absolutely wonderful to her. I don't have any concerns. They have great food, it's all homemade, and the dietitian that comes in once a month does the menu. The food is always fresh, it's just wonderful.

Karen was very helpful, answered our questions. This home was not for my parents, its old they are updating each room when it is empty. My first impression when I knocked on door, ashtrays full on front porch (smoking area) trash can full (knew then this would not be the place for them). We did the tour, this home has an upstairs, with chair lift for patients that have a room upstairs. Aides working very friendly. Couple areas of the home had 2 steps to go down, said aides help client get up and down. My mom can't do steps, didn't realize place not all one level. They have other homes in Baltimore County (just bought this one last year) they may be in better shape, my opinion this home needs a lot of TLC.

Locust Lodge offers a smoking area on the porch for our residents. Ashtrays and trash cans are emptied and cleaned on regular basis. At times ashtrays can be overflowing if and emergency situation has taken staff away from scheduled cleaning. First impressions are lasting impressions. We will make sure we pay more attention to the cleanliness of our smoking area.

Locust Lodge has a Chairlift for residents to access the second level. The Caregivers will assist the resident when using the Chairlift. The seat will swivel when transitioning to and from the Chairlift not to face the steps.
