Customer Reviews

A good fit

A small place, Hospitality House is a perfect fit for the needs of our 96 year old aunt. The care of the elderly can be quite diverse and demanding. We feel our Aunt is receiving the attention she needs at an affordable price.

Good option. Good possibility. Would like to tour again and bring my mom with me. Dates she can tour are [date removed]

They Have Such Wonderful Staff

Hospitality House has been doing an excellent job. It is a secure place and the staff watched my husband very closely. I am pleased with what they do for him, they are doing things that I wouldn't have thought of. I like that they are very kind and caring. The helped most by supervising his exit seeking and started him on a new medication. They wanted to be by his side since the new medication could make him unstable.

Dad is going great since moving here. He really likes the social environment he is really liking the other residents. I think he likes the food. Overall the staff is good there are some members of the staff that could be a little friendlier and not as rude but overall they are fine. I feel comfortable that dad is getting the care he needs. I would probably recommend this community to anyone.

Things Have Improved

I am hoping that since the community has recently been sold and the management has changed hands that things will continue to improve which they have already started. My husband along with the care the facility provides is also under a hospice care and that seems to be going well he has improved to the point where he is participating in more activities and being a little more social. The staff is friendly and open to feedback. In the beginning, I had my concerns but now that the issues I had are being resolved and things continue to improve I seemed to have relaxed a little more and they are building my confidence back up again about the quality of care they will provide.

Great staff!

Everything is going well with my loved one's stay. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the facility is well maintained. The staff are also very encouraging and they try their best to get my mom out and involved in activities.

Not Trilled With This Community

We are not overly trilled with this community. It has been a disappointing experience. There is major room for improvement. Whenever we go to visit my mother, she not always cleaned. They promised to redo the flooring, and that has not been done. One time we inform the staff we were gonna to take her out to a birthday party, and to have her ready. When we arrived she had on the same clothes from two days ago. Unfortunately this is the community that fits into our budget for the moment, but we are not satisfied.

nice place

We like that this is a very clean community and they offer laundry service. The memory care staff are professional, extremely caring , know what they are doing and take good care of my loved one. The food is pretty good. They try to keep the residents active. This is an affordable community and I would recommend it.

Compassionate and supportive

My mother passed away recently and they were very understanding during this difficult time. They would call all the time to see how she was doing after she was moved and even to check up on me. They have a very supportive and compassionate staff and I would definitely recommend them to someone who is looking for care for a loved one.

My Thought Of The Tour

I was not impressed with the community. It felt old and dingy. The rooms were small and the community did not seem as clean as I would have liked. The dining room is small. The people I met were pleasant, however I did not see the level of care we were looking for.

Lovely Place For Mom

I would have given all 5 Stars except the facility needs to be updated ie, carpets, bathrooms, windows (single pane?). I believe they are in the process of updating the facility, but unsure when/how it will take place with residents there.. Also, there should be better security measures for who enters the facility. No one is monitoring the front door - anyone can walk in.
Love the staff - very caring and helpful..
Meals are healthy and well-prepared.
Medication distribution is meticulous - as it should be.
Administration keeps us well-informed of any issues.
Like the fact that we had the option of a shared room or private room.
This is not a "hospital-feel" facility that you encounter often when you enter an Assisted Living Facility.
Feel fortunate that we found Hospitality House when we did and they worked with us to get her in within a short period of time.

The staff at this community nice, attentive, caring and easy to work with.

Mom seemed to like the food, however they did not offer a variety of choices. They do offer some activities. The community is clean but I do think they could use some updating such as new carpeting. The rooms are small and since mom and her roommate were in wheelchairs they had trouble navigating around the room. Mom did say it was cold in there and the residents seemed a little more disabled than her. I think this community is worth taking a look at.

Supportive Caring Care Home

My father is being cared for very well here at this care home. Everything is working out very well, and I'am pleased with his move to this care home. It has been a transition process, but I will say he is adjusting well to the community. They have a very supportive, caring staff at this community. He is pleased with food, the serve nice meals. It is really a good comfortable fit for my father and his needs.

Very Clean Community

This community is very clean to the point of not seeing dirt. I always see the staff sweeping and mopping. They provide daily activities for my grandmother to participate in. I enjoy the staff who are taking good care of her. The food is pretty tasty as well. I would recommend this community.

94 yr old mom with Alzheimer dementia doing are best to coupe with placement

My mom has only been there for 3 weeks so I will do my best to grade. I feel the staff and caregivers are very friendly. The only reason I give 4 on caregivers is because I feel they are understaffed..The caregivers are very capable and friendly I just feel they are to busy to watch everyone..the living room area should always have someone there and sometimes residents are alone for 5-10 minutes Because caregivers are busy taking care of the residents especially after meal times. There needs to be better communication between shift changes. They informed me that they are currently looking for more stuff. All in all its a good starting place for me and my family it is just a hard decision for any family and they do listen to what you have to say and seem to care and I have a lot to say. My mom has Alzheimer's dementia and is a very difficult resident and they seem to care about her we are all working together for what is best for her. It hasn't been any easy transition for my mom she is in the memory care section which only has 16 residents. She shares a room

She Is Happy

Things are going well for my friend she seemed to have well in the community. The staff is friendly and nice to her and me when I come visit. The have been really attentive to her helps her out with anything she needs. The food is okay they could have more of a healthier selection. She enjoys bingo and sing a longs. I am happy she is happy.

Nice place!

I find the staff very supportive, they are always available to assist with anything you need. They always do their best to keep you informed of your family member's situation, whether health related or just out of care and concern.

The place is kept neat and very clean which is always important if you have loved ones living there.

It's okay, but some things I am not real pleased with.

It's okay, but some things I am not real pleased with. I would like the place to have more caregivers for the amount of people. For all they do, they help the residents, and serve the meals, and change the beds and that. But when I need to talk to someone, I have to hunt them down, in my opinion they are understaffed. I haven't heard a lot of good things, from other family members who have their loved one there.

Do not patronize!!!

My first hand experience would be that the residence be shut down!

Very happy

I knew this community as Kiernan Village. The facility is a little bit older, but the management and their caring attitude far outweighs everything we’ve seen so far. The largest meal is at lunch and our loved one has no complaints. The management does their best to keep everyone happy. The rooms were big.

Good Care

The activities they offered seemed okay. It is an okay place to bring your elder to if you need it, either short term or long term. The parking was okay. They offered very good care services and that is their best feature.

Mom's new home

When entering facility it was very neat and clean. Visiting area and dining area very roomy. Rooms are private and cozy. After several visits and meeting some staff and patients it truly is a family. Patients seem relaxed including my mother, she was nervous at first but she has settled in well. I visit regularly and enjoy talking and playing games with all. Food is fairly descent. Don't be scared, knowledge is power, when you see different levels of patients it should not discourage you everyone needs help. Be open, ask questions and visit often at different times this will give you a good idea of how the facility runs.

Very neat and clean manager...

Very neat and clean manager did tour showed us everything spoke to some patients, really felt comfortable answered all questions. Staff seemed attentive. Placed deposit did not want to lose this one. Willing to work with us until benefits were in place.

This facility is not for mo...

This facility is not for mom not her style and a little too much going on. I did not feel very comfortable.
