Review of Heritage Assisted Living

I think this is a good place for me to live, everyone is good to us!

Review of Heritage Assisted Living

Rooms are large and have large windows to look at birds and flowers. Provides a good friendly, family atmosphere.

Review of Heritage Assisted Living

Heritage is a most-home community. It is a beautiful home to live in. It is a 18 people that live here...like a moderate family. The staff knows all "family" by their chosen name. Six people at a table. It is a beautiful surrounding and a lovely back porch and watching the birds so they chat with their neighbors...if you desire.

Review of Heritage Assisted Living

I have enjoyed my experience here. The staff and the caregivers do their best to see that we are taken care of by giving the best care possible in a home like atmosphere. I believe they love their jobs and would not work so hard to have our days filled with activities and caring for our needs.

Review of Heritage Assisted Living

Everyone has been very good to us.

Nice place to live

Review of Heritage Assisted Living

The facility keeps you busy, not bad rooms, and not bad food.

Caring, clean and extremely caring

Heritage on Coleman Rd, is wonderful. I love how small it is and my grandmother will not be lost in the crowd. She is well taken care of and the staff is amazingly friendly. She likes the food too!

Very Helpful Staff In This Community

This community is working out well for my mother since her move here. They have a good staff, and I do feel she in good hands. They are very helpful, and have been friendly whenever I visit. The community, and her room are well maintained. There are nice activities offered, and good meals provided for the residents. All is well for my mother here in this community, and I would recommend it.

It Feels like Home For Her

My cousin thought they had a friendly environment with the feeling like home. That is the reason she picked this community and so far it's going very well. They are on top of the care and cleanliness in the community. It is a very nice community.

I enjoyed meeting [Removed]. Even though she didn't feel well she was still very attentive to what my needs are and explained everything to my satisfaction. Heritage is a beautiful, clean facility and I felt very comfortable there.

The Sincere Care Is Obvious

My sister went through an adjustment period and is now doing pretty well. She likes the bingo and church services on Sunday. My sister said they have little kids that sing and she enjoys that. Her meals are not bad it is good from I have tried. I fell in love with the staff who are very helpful and they always have good attitude with a smile. You can tell they really care about their job and the residents. I love the administrator, they are really outing and friendly with everyone. They have activities like a big checker board, movies to watch with a library full of DVDs, coloring books and they try to keep them occupied. I see the residents talking while watching TV, they seem to enjoy each other's company.

Good Tour of This Community

I toured this community for my mother and her needs. My tour went pretty well, and this is a nice place. The staff I met was kind and friendly. The community appeared to be well maintained. It was a good experience, and they treated my family and I very well. It just wasn't the community for my mother and her needs.

The tour went extremely well. My first impression was very positive. The facility was very intimate and cozy. There was a real family atmosphere which was appealing. The facility manager, Miki, was very knowledgeable and informative regarding amenities, provision of care, medical administration, and overall patient oversight. Also, there were several room options and activities for the patients. Being my first visit to an assisted living facility, I was pleasantly surprised.

Feels Like Home!!

The community gives my loved one a home like atmosphere. I would highly recommend the Heritage Assisted Living, the staff are wonderful and very attentive. The meals are great they have good portions to them and are tasty. My loved one is being more social and is getting to meet other residents in the community this has been a wonderful experience for him.

Excellent, Caring Staff

The staff that take care of my mother are wonderful! They are so sweet, kind, and patient with her. They are quick to tell me about how she has adjusted and gotten along with everyone. I appreciate their excellent care. My mother is always complimentary of the meals they serve. While it is difficult to make the decision to have my mother in an assisted living facility, the staff at Heritage have made this adjustment easier. I truly appreciate their encouragement for both my mother and me.

Friendly, understanding staff

We're very pleased with how things have gone at Heritage Assisted Living! The staff here is friendly, professional, and they've really taken the time to get to know our family. They've really gotten to know Dad, and they've been knowledgeable and understanding when it comes to his dementia care. They also always recognize any member of my family when we come to visit! I also really appreciate how communicative they are, they'll let us know way in advance if Dad is running low on any supplies we might need to bring before a visit. I highly recommend them!

Not a place for me!

I had a scheduled appointment on a Saturday because I was coming from out of town. When I arrived at the time I noted the front door and area was dirty but went in anyway to give them a chance. I was to meet with the assistant director. The residents were being served lunch and the kitchen staff was surprised I was there. They told me to wait and I did for 20 minutes just for them to tell me Angel was in Nashville! The kitchen staff offered to show me around but I had seen enough! If the director can't be there and no medical person appeared to be there either, I was not about to put my mother there! I didn't even get an apology from this place. It was smelly and appeared a bit run down.

Caring Environment

Staff is very caring and go above and beyond to care for the residents. They know our family when we enter the building, and we and my father (the resident) are treated like their own family. The only complaint I have at this time is really that there isn't much for the residents to do on a daily basis.

It's been pretty good so far.

They don't have a whole lot of activities, it could be the weather. They play bingo and do have a few excercise classes but that's about it. The food is about a four and half. The atmosphere, was a big reason why we chose them. It's a smaller community and the staff was so friendly. Some of the staff has been there for years, which is a really good sign.

Above and beyond

The cleanliness is good, I don't have any problems, I haven't had any issues with that. I don't know whether the cost is good or bad but it's what she could afford at the time. They're takin real good care, they're doing a little above and beyond what they should, they're helping her with her personal hygiene and getting up and walking, all of her mobility stuff and anything she needs help with they do. They do some crafts and stuff and they do bingo but when your 93 you aren't going to do a whole lot but she can do some of the crafts and bingo. Somedays she doesn't want to talk to anybody but the staff definitely encourages her to particiapte but you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink.

Ms. Croft was very helpful and courteous. Place was very nice and this will probably be the one we choose if mom makes the decision to go because the cost is workable.

I would not choose this place again.

My experience with Heritage Assisted Living was disappointing. The people who worked there were very friendly; it seems like this is a small, privately owned facility that is just trying to survive so they cut corners. They only have one person on the premises at night, which is just not right. Most of the residents there seemed to suffer from dementia. My mom chose it because it was a smaller facility, she found the bigger ones overwhelming. But I think a bigger facility would have been a better fit, they seemed to be more active and attentive at the larger homes. My mom also chose to see the Heritage Assisted Living doctor that comes to visit. I was not happy with the care that the in house doctor provided, their doctor did not get to know my mom and my mom did not receive the level of care we were accustomed to from her previous doctor.

From the Community

Why Choose Heritage?
The size of our facility is truly fundamental to Caring at its Best. We have intentionally limited the building to a single story with 20 suites. Our size provides opportunities for socializing and developing friendships, yet is not so large that residents get lost in the crowd.
Our Staff an excellent staff is another important factor in providing Caring at its Best. Compassion and empathy are the highest priorities for prospective employees. With decades of combined experience in health-care for seniors, we have found that more personalized care can be provided in a smaller, more intimate facility. Only when the resident, their family, our staff and management work together, can we provide Caring at its Best - treating others as we would choose to be treated.
