Customer Reviews

Keep your eyes on your love ones. Dont be fooled.

Read a review below. Background checks need to be done!!!. A few of the 'caregivers" have a bad background. My family had a relative there and one day in last few months a felon was arrested working there. The place is a pretty place and looks so warm and inviting. Some of the caregivers are very nice, but burned out due to understaff most of the time and no management to helpwith residents. When it was time to go on memory care side it got worse. People not being watched, 2 caregivers with over 20 severe memory care residents almost daily. dirty floors people wheels chairs with their urine on the floor. Then on the Villa side caregivers sitting and gossiping while memory care workers looked like they were tired and drained. A good place would have 1/ to 8. We heard upset stories from caregivers who finally had enough and quit. I am about to write letters to my respresentative for the rights of paying customers and the eldery on these places.

Resident review

I am happy with the choice I made to move my wife and I to DayBreak. My wife has dementia and I was her primary caregiver at home. After some personal health issues, my children and I decided assisted living was the best option.
We researched and toured 12 different facilities before making a choice.

My mom is 91 years old with a dx of dementia. She has lived with us for 10 years with that diagnosis. We used this place for 1 to 2 days a week for day care for about a year & had no complaints. My husband and I placed her in respite care at DayBreak from the [dates removed] while my husband and I went on vacation. When we arrived at the scheduled appointed time at the facility to leave her there prior to our vacation, we waited until the administrator was through showing another client on a tour.
Then the administrator directed us to an empty room void of furniture. I was told they would have Mom in a room & they would send a picture via my phone. I said I would be there until I could get my mom”s clothes unpacked & settled in a room.
At this point the administrator made a decision to place my Mom in another room with two other occupants

Happy, relieved family

Great team atmosphere, management open to hearing concerns. This was Mother's third move and we have finally found our forever home.

Daybreak make a hard decision something you can feel good about.

My Mother-in-Love moved into her apartment last [date removed]. Her suite is the largest room in the facility so know this as I describe the spaciousness. It has a very large living room, a small "kitchen area" (No running water but fridge, microwave, counter top and plenty of cabinets), very large bedroom with a back patio and her own backyard. The bathroom is spacious and the shower has beautiful tile and wheelchair assessable. The overall decorations of the facility are BEAUTIFUL. The dining room is updated, common areas are very nice. Grounds of gorgeous. The food is delicious. Now, that being said, I am a little disappointed in the activities. They have had a change of hands of directors in that area so maybe that accounts for the disjointed and unimaginative games they have had as of late. I personally haven't participated but my mother-in-law does a lot of complaining about this. I know that they are doing the best they can in that area and I am confident that improvements will be coming. Now for the Caretakers. They are exceptional. All of them. I see how they talk to my Mom-in-Love and how she lights up when she sees a caretaker. All of them make her feel like she is the favorite in the facility. Just between you and I, she is a hard woman to please. ;-). I see that the caretakers of very proud of their job and treat each resident with the greatest respect. I don't think you would be disappointed putting your loved one here.

This is a beautiful place and the staff is very friendly. The food smelled wonderful! It may not work for us because we are looking for a two bedroom, but it seems like a great place.

We arrived at the scheduled appointment time but apparently there was a mix up in communication and the director was not there to meet with us. A member of the staff gave us a tour of the facility and provided the contact information to call the director for questions and pricing information. The facility was clean and presented a cozy atmosphere.

5+ Rating!

I can not say enough good things about Daybreak Village Senior Living. My husband had Alzheimer's and the care they provided for him was unbelievable. The staff was so loving and kind. They were so easy to communicate any questions or concerns I had regarding the care of my husband. They were very accommodating and went out of their way to make me feel welcome when I would come to visit. The food was fabulous, the chef did a wonderful job with the meals that he prepared. Once a year they would have a dress up night for the families to come and enjoy a dinner all together. The caregivers would take him outside and sit with him out on the porch to sit and enjoy the sun. It was a small family run community that we were fortunate to find. I would highly recommend this community to others.

Doing well

Dad is not really a fan of the food. I have seen it and it does look good. He does participate in a few of the activities and he likes the music. The community is clean and beautiful outside. The staff have been helpful and we have good communication with them. I would recommend this community.

Comfortable Living!!

I have no complaints of how things are going for my loved one since she made the move into this community. The staff are wonderful to work with and I am comfortable with the quality of care the staff have been providing her. She has had no problems with the meals and enjoys participating in activities from time to time with the other residents. I would defiantly recommend it to anyone interested.

Care and Value

Thankful Daughter

We had chosen a different facility and stopped by only to compare rates. We were blown away after touring. The lady that toured us was knowledgeable and focused on educating and helping us rather than forcing her facility down our throats. These people love and believe in what they do. My mom has done better than expected with the transition.

Working Out Great

Everything is working out great for me with my move to this community. Everybody has been very kind, and welcoming. The staff is friendly, and polite. They have nice meals, and good activities overall. All is well for me at this community, and I would recommend it.

Pleased with My Mother's Move to This Community

My mother is doing okay with her move to this community. She seems to well, and we are all pleased with all they have done for us. Everything is working out very well. They are taking great care of her, and her needs. They have provided me with a peace of mind knowing she safe, and in good hands. This is a community I would recommend, it is working out good for my family.

Didn't care for the two bedroom layout. the common areas were cramped.

Tour was fantastic! The facility and space was excellent and very up to date. The price was higher than expected though.

I have recommended Daybreak!!!

Mom is settling in very well at this community. Daybreak Village is a clean community. I would give most of the staff a 5 but a few are a 4. They have a great chef and I would give the food a 5. They have good healthy choices. She likes to participate in some of the activities offered.

Why the low rating

Only gave the friendliness part a low rating due to my concerns with one of the owners and her administrator . The care staff are very caring though there seems to be a high turn over in the that staff. The kitchen staff are excellent cooks and truly care about the well beinging of those they serve. I found they had a nurse who I checked into and was not to happy with her background. I will let you do your own background check to see what you find. These are just my thoughts and findings on Day Break .

Review of Daybreak Village Senior Living - Kennesaw, GA

Great tenure of care givers. A little bit older but well maintained. Going back for a second look tomorrow

Nice and welcoming facility.

The staff and management are wonderful! They were very helpful with our move and welcomed my parents like family. The facility is clean and lovely. It is small so the residents get to know one another. My only wish is that they had a gym or exercise room on site. The PT provider they recommend is wonderful! My dad is stronger and walking with a walker now. I just wish they had some exercise equipment for the residents on site and/or offered more exercise classes.

Very nice. “Mom and Pop” local small business - not a franchise - not corporate. Owners live on premises. Attractive rooms and attractive, comfortable common areas. A bit pricey, but includes meds coordinator, daily housekeeping service, laundry service, activities, and meals in the home-style dining room. Everyone was very friendly, and the residents I met fell into wonderful conversation. Sweet folks.

Daybreak Village Senior Living is going really good so far. All of the people there are A okay. The room was not totally clean when she moved though. It was not as if they were ready. The value and the staff are awesome. The care services are too. We seem to like the activities at this facility.

cleaning staff could be a little more thorough

Daybreak Village Senior Living is a very nice place. They do a very good job. Is everything perfect no, but there is always room for improvement. They are very accommodating. The staff go above and beyond to try and acclimate her to the environment. Even the owner has tried to make her feel at home. We had a few little glitches at first. The cleaning staff could be a little more thorough with cleaning the rooms. I would like to see them clean the showers a little better and things like that. This facility is very very nice and overall I am happy with it.

Simply The Best!

Moved mom in a few weeks ago and so far - She LOVES it! The staff is amazing and Maureen not only made us feel comfortable from the start my mom now speaks about her on a regular basis. It's people like her that helped us make the difficult decision - EASY!! Food and facility are great - it seems like the owners are really investing to make Daybreak the best in the area. Don't wait - the additional rooms are filling fast!

Highly Recommend!

Daybreak Village is a breath of fresh air. My dad has been in 2 assisted livings and 2 memory care facility in 3 years. Daybreak by far exceeds expectations of your typically "assisted living/memory care" facility. The staff is amazing and the care is top notch. My dad is always clean, well feed, bathed, and dressed. I would highly recommend Daybreak to any family that would like a place to take care of your loved one, like you would take care of your loved one.

Mother in law loves her apartment.
Chef Darrell's food is superb..She is very content and caregivers really care. Must visit this community.

Exceptional-set apart!

Just moved mother-in-law in and she loves it! The care is exceptional and she is happy! The food is excellent.
The chef is willing to make changes to menu to accommodate her likes and dislikes.
The staff is very caring and she feels very content!

the most amazing facility i have been to, they started off with a small building, and they have expanded a couple times over the years, and plan on more, they must be doing something right! We moved my mother into one of the new rooms in the the new wing that was added-on, and it is amazing! the care is unrivaled and it feels like a very warm and friendly place with amazing staff! also their new rooms go QUICK, if you can get into one TAKE IT.

Make Daybreak your first place to check out!

I am so happy we found Daybreak Village, my mother was getting the level of care she needed in the countless nursing homes we tried. we almost gave up until we toured daybreak, its like a home away from home, the staff is amazing and it feels like a family, they are constantly upgrading their amenities and comfort for the residents who live there :) two thumbs up!

Best facility out there, hands down!

I can not imagine a better facility than daybreak, since we moved dad in it has become like a second home to our family, the staff is so kind and friendly and go above and beyond what I had first expected, we've moved dad around a bunch of homes, but none of them actually felt like a home until daybreak!

Very friendly and caring staff!

They do a fantastic job here! They are incredibly personable, it's a very one on one, down to earth, hands on type of care. And it is a great price for the level of care that they provide! The entire community just has a warm homey feel, not institutional at all.

The Staff was great and did a great job with my mom over the weekend. It was the first time I had left my mom overnight anywhere and I would recommend Daybreak Village to any one who is looking for a place to see after a love one.

A lovely place though not available for my Dads needs. Nice facility with lots of amenities

Warm and loving environment

We have been very pleased with the care provided here. It's a nice looking place, and the staff are very friendly and keep everything looking nice and clean. They have activities to keep everyone busy, but I'd like to a see a bit more variety, and just more of them in general. We did have an issue early on where our loved one was not receiving the showers we had scheduled regularly, but we talked with them about this and they got the problem worked out.

Perfect for mom!

We recently moved mom to Daybreak Village and we are very happy we decided on this assisted living. The staff are very friendly and caring and mom loves it there! It is beautiful and extremely clean. The best part is they have more staff per resident then what is required by the state, which I found other places just have the min. requirement. Lots of different activities for the residences to participate in everyday. Not corporate owned! The owners are involved and you can tell they care and want them to feel at home.

Peace of mind

We finally have "peace of mind" regarding care for our mother who has Alzheimer. The staff, ALL of the staff, show such compassion and understanding for the person as well as support to the family. Mother was at 4 previous locations that were adequate, but DayBreak is superior!

Beautiful location. The rooms have doors to an outside patio in each room. I love this, but Dad's dimentia put him somewhere between these apartments and the facilities memory care unit.

Positives: very nice, spa, rooms nice- can get a room with view to path, small path, day trips, LA fitness near by -can hire sitter for water aerobics. Negatives: cost $4400 - $4500 includes care and medicine, no transportation, no community pets, low on staff, activities coordinator covers both assist and memory side. Was told coordinator not much on memory side.
