Customer Reviews

A good choice for our aunt

My husbands aunt have been here since 2007. She started in the independent floor and sadly is now in the memory floor. The place have been through a lot of changes with management and nurses and occupational therapist, and aides , housekeeper , clerks/ secretaries all those years and our aunt have gone through all those and we must say that there are good and bad in those changes but we are still glad that she picked century oaks .
Through all the change of hands we are thankful to have met people that have taken care of her and some who still are. We are happy right now for Clifford who have treat her like his own family his selfless act of kindness towards her is exemplary! We wish there are more Cliffords in this place to take care of the elderly!
We are far from our Aunt because this is how she wanted it to be , but we are at ease that Century Oak is taking care of her

No complaints!!

I have no complaints about my tour of this community, This was the first place my mother and I had visited and she just could not see her self living here. It was also too far of a drive for me to get to her everyday. The staff where friendly though and gave lots of great information to us.

Just to far!

They were nice and they gave a nice tour. The staff was helpful and very knowledgeable with the information about the community. We just did not choose here because it was way to far from us. We wanted mom closer.

Starting the Transition with My Parents

My parents are safe in the community and cared for by the staff. I have not got a call about dad falling yet however, my parents are taking their time to get use to the community. The staff have been friendly and welcoming. With their help they are doing alright and I have not heard a complaint about the meals they eat. It is a clean community with good housekeeping for my parent's room. My parents are much of joiners but activities are offered. I choose this community because of the location and price.

Mom is Well

We are pleased with my mother's move to this community. She is doing well, and everything has worked out well.

Great help from Amy, A Place For Mom

Thank you Amy for all your help!! It was a lot of new learning curves for me to move my parents to FL from NM, where they lived independantly to assisted living. Amy helped me with so many items, monies, gap loans, VA and of course all the places to visit and people to connect with to do so, NEVER could have done it all without A Place For Mom.

Review of Century Oaks - Melbourne, FL

Nancy was informative. I toured the rooms too. The general feeling was more of an assisted living and therefore I dont feel would be a good fit for my mom.

This facility is amazing and the Staff was wonderful!! Hoping we can work this one out financially for Dad!

It has been a very good experience

Overall it has been a very good experience. All of the people have been very accommodating and helpful. The facility is very nice, comfortable, and spacious. The staff and residents are all very friendly. It has been a good fit for my mother. Holly was the person who contacted me. She was very helpful and very friendly. The Century Oaks is a very nice place and I'm just glad that it has been a good fit for my mom.

They bent over backwards

They bent over backwards to make accommodations for my parents. They were able to shuffle other people around so that my dad could have a more convenient location when walking to the dining room. They really listened to our concerns and did the best to react. I feel very comfortable that my parents are there and I know that they're taken care of. It has been a very good experience. Nancy is the BEST!

Nice community spirit

My mother lives at Century Oaks. She really likes it there. It's clean, comfortable and safe. She has her independence but doesn't have to deal with grocery shopping, cooking or cleaning. She says the staff are very professional and compassionate. Even though she's only been there are few months, she's made friends. I am very pleased that my Mother is happy and safe.

Dad and step-mom are so thrilled with their beautiful new apartment in Century Oaks. The staff could not be more attentive to their wants and needs! The dining room is very cozy and the food is superb!! Great Ice Cream socials every Wednesday and lots of friendly neighbors to chat with. The folks can even keep their little dog Foxy with them. Nancy, Gloria, Sherri and Elaine along with the rest of the staff have been so welcoming and supportive through this adjustment period for all of us. Thanks so much for all of you help!!!

Lovely community. Very safe facility, caring staff, and friendly residents. Nancy was extremely helpful. The apartments are quite spacious and bright, and the screened porch is a great bonus. The bathrooms are particularly nice, very modern. I personally love the pool area, which is in a courtyard area in the center of the building, and adjacent covered lanai. I might plan to spend some time there relaxing, myself :)

We visited Century Oaks last week and again this Wednesday for lunch. Nancy showed us around and visited with some residents. We were impressed with our time there. Will keep in touch with Nancy.

We met with Gloria and toured the facility and we really liked it. Nice folks and clean.

Very nice place!

They've done a great job so far at Century Oaks! The staff are very attentive, and great about staying in touch with families. They keep right on top of things, and always give me a call if anything goes wrong. The facility itself is well kept and clean, the staff are friendly, and the residents seem well cared for!

Had two tours. Too costly and while the rooms were nice there's something I just didn't like about it. Tara was helpful.

respite care

The one thing I use them for is respite, so my loved one goes for a long weekend with seems to be kind of hard to find. The community is clean and the staff is friendly. I think they’re a really good value for what they do.

Loved this place. Angela was very helpful and the activities available were awesome. The apartment was lovely and the ability to have your pet just added to it. Unfortunately my friend has decided to go live with her daughter.

We are really happy with them.

We are really happy with them. It was a much better rate than we had been paying at other places. I give them a five plus for value. They are non profit and have an all inclusive rate. They call immediately if there is ever anything going on. We don't use the activities really so I can't comment much on that, but I know they offer a lot of things to do. But it is a hurricane safe building. Each room has their own private shower, so they don't have to go to the shower room. We have been really happy with the administration there, they are very accommodating.

Very Pleased

Excellent value, my father-in-law is in the locked down unit, he has Alzheimer's/dementia. They have bible study 3x a week, and church services there. They do rides on Fridays, they take them out for joy rides. He wasn't happy before, but he really likes Century Oaks. It seems to have a consistent crew, and he is receiving much better care than before. They are good, they call with any issue or problem, and we are very pleased. I wish they did a little more with an area to congregate, they only have the dining room and the area by the nurses station to hang out. The memory unit is very small, very confined. It's a short hallway, not more than 20 people. It would be nice if the residents could get out of the locked down floors and do things with other residents. It's a give and take, better service, but a more confined area.
The food is great, if he doesn't like what they are feeding him they always have hamburgers. He loves hamburgers!

Really nice spacious apartm...

Really nice spacious apartments. Lots of amenities. Most of all, residents were happy and interacting with staff and each other. Staff also were cheerful, helpful and relaxed. Hurricane category 4 rated building - not having to evacuate was a big plus for my parents.
