Customer Reviews

The director and staff are excellent. The location was clean and the senior seem content and happy. The building has plenty of lighting it was not dark.

See for yourself, you will love it

Did not like the reviews but took the chance and boy am I glad I did. The director, sales staff , activities and care staff were so welcoming and friendly. They have clearly done a lot with renovations and it is still happening. The new owner really cares about the residents and is doing a lot to upgrade everything. Absolutely worth the $2000 a month we pay now for my dad. So happy we are here !

Making life easy for my 100 year old grandfather.

My grandfather moved in to Azalea Manor just over a year ago in August 2017. It took him a few months to get use to the change. He is now in his 100th year and loves the staff and has made some friends. He can be challenging at times, when he is feeling down or doesn't want to take wanting to take his medication etc. but there is always some one on staff that knows how to smile, be patient, and help him out. My dad and I visit him two or three times a week and he is usually snoozing in his recliner, hanging out in the common area, or sitting on the front porch.

An Horrible Experience Here

We had a Terrible experience at this community. I was very dissatisfied with the care they provided. They promised a lot of things they did not follow through with. My mother has ended up in the hospital due to their care. I do not appreciate the fact my mother's heath was put in jeopardy. I would not recommend it this community to anyone.

Azalea Manor did not follow through!!!

We had trouble from the start with this community. My Mother in law had trouble getting her food and getting assistance with bathing. They told us they could work with her medical condition, however they were not trained to properly care for her. We did move her to another care home that provides the care she needs.

We Were About To Move Dad In

I really liked this community for its nice atmosphere. The staff and director seemed to know what they are doing. I smelled really good food during my visit. The director gave me all her attention and was informative. My dad was ready to move in but his health became too much for this community to care him properly.

The price wasn't near the published prices. They were very nice though and seemed eager to help. Everyone was helpful and residents seemed to have good attitudes. Maybe not the facility for my Mother.

Nice place, overall

Overall I think they do a good job at Azalea Manor. It's a clean, nice looking place, and the staff is friendly and professional. They do a good job looking after the people who live here!

perfect facility

There isn't may activities there. The staff there is very helpful and great. They check on my mom daily. The residents there are great as well. It is an awesome place and it was perfect.

Very Friendly and Nice

They are just very friendly and very nice. I have no complaints right now.

Did not like this facility. Was not clean, runned down and room with bathroom had a tub, not a walk in shower! The cost was not much less.

Very old home and pricy as a NEW community! Absolutely NOT interested in this facility.

They were great! They have been wonderful, the staff, the care, the personal attention they give the residents.

They were great! They have been wonderful, the staff, the care, the personal attention they give the residents. It was one of the best things I've ever done for her. The staff gets a six for being friendly. Sometimes they can't always give them what they want and they were able to talk to them in a way as to not upset them. They didn't really have a lot of activities, but it's difficult with the weather and the different levels of care of the residents. I liked the location and I noticed a big difference in the cleanliness and the level of the staff, compared to others I visited. There is one thing I would say, and it's not really them it's a sign of the times, the doors are open 24/7, and once there was a drunk guy in the neighborhood and he fell in the driveway and people are working late and maybe the door should be locked at night, even though they have an alarm.

The staff was very nice and helpful. They were caring and wanted to help find the right fit for my Mom. You could tell they cared about their residents and were dedicated to what they do. The Home was an old building but well maintained with old antique furnishings. It had a nice open common area for games and television. The resident rooms felt dreary with little light. I felt like I was in my grandmothers house and had gone back in time.

Family Run and Caring

Azalea Manor is run by a family of people who are caring, aware of each person's needs and in contact with the family. Just today the Charge Nurse, Barbara, contacted me about a conversation she had with my MIL. Each time I take my MIL to the doctor they are happy to print out current medications listings for me and make sure that meds are sent along with us. The smells wafting from the kitchen are tempting, even when we are on our way to a lunch date with friends. The facility isn't brand spanking new, but it is decently maintained and comfortable.

Friendly and brighter facility than Golden Rose. Answered questions honestly, food smelled heavenly. Semi-active residents. Cobb County.

Really liked the "home-like" atmosphere here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice area for outside visits for residents. Building was secure. Price was right and rooms wer furnished. Makes moving in much easier. They don't provide respite care at this time. deposit required.

All-inclusive fee structure at competitive price; good location. Unique feature: a single common bathing room ... all residents must be given bath by nursing staff ... baths given on Monday's and Thursday's ... given prior falls in the bathroom this is a plus (for others this may be prohibitive).

Liked facility very much. Not best fit for my mom. She would be more comfortable with more closet space and is used to a newer facility with more upscale 'feel'. Very impressed with the Director and staff. If her health declines, I would definitely consider this residence for her.

Decent but the residents didn't seem engaged. Felt more like a skilled nursing home than assisted living. Neither the owner or bus mgr could meet me (even though I made an appt w/ [name omitted] directly)...the Cook showed me around.

Did not like facility or surrounding location. Looks like a low budget facility.

From the Community

Azalea Manor was selected MARIETTA’s BUSINESS of the YEAR by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. We were established in 1983, are locally owned and operated, and have three generations of elderly care and assisted living experience. We pioneered the assisted living and personal care industry and have an excellent reputation. Our trained, experienced caregiving team provides personal care & attention to each of our 42 residents.

We have spacious private and semi-private rooms. We provide 24 hour assistance, serve delicious home-cooked meals and snacks, and have generally gotten most of our referrals from “word of mouth”. Our attention to detail and resident care is our specialty, as we provide customized care and service according to resident needs. Our affordable all-inclusive fee structure is very simple with a set monthly charge which includes all daily services with No extra fees per service. We are familiar with the VA financial assistance program and can assist with documentation.
