Customer Reviews

The staff and management at Atria North Point in Alpharetta are exceptional. The residents are warm and friendly.
There are many amenities and daily activities to keep me social and active.

My parents are very happy with their room, the activities and food at Atria

I enjoyed the tour and the people were wonderful. The residents were inviting and gave great feedback. I loved that they offered for my mother to stay there for a week to truly experience it prior to making a final decision.

Impressed! Only concern is location for my sister that lives in Marietta

Excellent facility, great amenities and location. Good incentives too. A little concerned about the noise from Ameris Amphitheater...

#1 choice right now. The only problem is they don't have any 1BR in Assisted Living, only Studios.

Choose a different facility

My mother moved into a 2 bedroom apt. in Independent Living. The apartment itself was great but residents were not friendly and remained in cliques. Mom has always been a social person and has had many friends so this was not her fault.
She had to move to the Assisted Living area there after 2 months due to a fall and needing more help while she healed. Staff there were friendly at first, then things went downhill, due to the head nurse in that area. She refused to let staff wheel Mom to meals which were on another floor, Mom was chastised that she was fully able to walk herself, which she wasn't, due to broken bones. Staff actually were mean to Mom several times, refusing to help her when she needed help. She was found unconscious a couple of times, and when moved to a rehab facility, we had had enough of the treatment she got there, and moved her directly into a different facility once she was released. Others have followed us and are leaving Atria. We had high hopes for Atria, but soon learned we had chosen the wrong place. (The head nurse there has now been fired.) (She is extremely happy where she lives now, has MANY friends there, and enough activities to stay busy. Staff there are great and always are willing to help.)

Life at Atria North Point

I have been staying here for only over a month to date so I can't give an elaborate review. So far, I find Atria a nice and homely place to live. Residents are friendly and staff are very accommodating! I have yet to discover other activities as I continue to live here.

Thank you for sharing your experience at Atria North Point thus far. We value your feedback and take pride in serving our residents each day.

Great Place

Lots of activities, nice people and nice accommodations. Staff is responsive to your needs. Only issue is that the ambassadors should really move around with the new folks and take them out and get them involved. I don't think our ambassador did a good job at that. My MIL has had to get out on her own and feels uncomfortable which I feel could be abated if her ambassador had been more attentive and not just for the first two or three days.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Atria North Point. We value the feedback of our residents and families.

This location has all the amenities and factors were are looking for. The price point is higher than what were looking for but were not discarding it for now. [Name removed] is very knowledgeable and answered all our questions above and beyond. A wonderful place.

Nice rooms inclusive of a full kitchen, well suited for independent living. Friendly and accommodating staff.
Clean and orderly appearance.

Welcoming entrance in lobby; light colored walls all over building; sales person, [name removed], was very pleasant and informative.
We met and spoke with 2 floor "ambassadors" who presented a most satisfied and pleasant view of their perceptions at Atria. We met the chef, [name removed], and spoke with him at length. Our lunch there was one of the best we've had. We liked the smaller "bay" areas of the dining area and are pleased to know that a private dining room is also available for guests. The OT/PT arrangement includes an on-site therapeutic pool. This is most important to us, in particular. Site is gated and lies on 20 acres. Large outdoor areas and walking paths. Balconies available with most floor plans. Ability to have a small raised garden on the balcony, also important. Regular varied activities and exercise classes available. Full kitchen a plus; also individual apt. stackable washer/dryer a great perk. Grayed beige walls will go well with any color decor. Assisted living and memory care all within one building with Independent Living; a plus for us. Some activities are shared between Ind. and Assisted Living. Overall comfort level with all options seem to fit us the best of all locations we have visited. Price for a 2BR apartment is comparable with others we have seen. Second person fee is $800. We have found that incentives are usually presented.

Feels older. Art & chairs, etc. are outdated. Elevator was in bad repair (walls). Chairs in dining room showing signs of wear. Yet, they still want as much or more than other places. Only thing they have that others don't is a small indoor pool. Cost for 2nd person @ $800/month is the highest we have seen.

DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ON LIVE HERE!!! Atria charged my father- in violation of the contract- the next month AFTER he died. Further, they charged him for services they did not deliver for the month of July after he died. As a result of their unjust taking of funds, his account is currently overdrawn. Even though they admit they owe us a refund, they have done NOTHING!!!!

Mr. [Removed] was very knowledgeable and helpful. Impressed with what I saw.

Very nice facility although kitchens are a little dated. [Removed] gave us a good tour. Staff and residents seemed friendly.

So far things have worked out very well.

So far things have worked out very well. We have had no major complaints and actually the opposite we have been very happy with them. They have gone above and beyond.

This place is unbelievable! There is a full service restaurant in addition to the dining room for Assisted Living, a pool, lots of activities for both independent and assisted living and the ability to take advantage of each group. The rooms are spacious, and there are a lot of people there with whom to share activities. They even have events just for men. The building is beautiful, and the grounds are lovely. There is an opportunity for the residents to garden, and lots of other things to do both in and outside the community. Julie was especially nice and gave us a lot of information that you don't get on a website or brochure. Definitely one of our top choices!

Absolutely outstanding!! Julie did a great job showing us around and I loved everything about this facility. My only concern here is the tiered pricing for Care vs the All Inclusive for Assisted Living. I prefer the All Inclusive model for Assisted Living but otherwise this facility is simply amazing!

Living at Atria

My mother has only been at Atria for a week but I have been so impressed with them. They have thought of everything! There are many inspiring activities and good food and a nice apartment. I think she is really going to enjoy it there.

Five Stars

Really the only comment that I can make about the Atria North Point is that they seem to be a really excellent and caring facility. It is a highly rated place in my opinion and I have nothing to say about improvements

so far things are going well

At Atria North Point so far things are going well. It's been okay. I mean she's only been there a month. I have no complaints at this point.

Best of the best

Best of the best. After being here 1 year we can really appreciate what is here. The time has flown by. This location is awesome. In a 2 mile radius you will find the best shops in the state, more entertainment, restaurants, theaters, and a true luxury environment. This is no buy in facility but a simple direct rental with a 1 year lease. Everything is included. The activity schedule fills up everyday and has something for everyone. We especially enjoy the Tuesday night dinner out. The spacious bus takes us to a new restaurant where we dine and share experiences with other residents. Of course Bingo is popular but so is the Gospel sing along. We love our spacious apartment with a large view porch. Every season is spectacular. While the food selections are lavish, the preparation is competently cooked by certified chefs. The Atlanta area is known for its Southern Hospitality and this Atria has it. Everyone is so friendly that i feel right at home. The health facilities are modern and well staffed. And, many world class hospitals are just minutes away. I feel secure knowing i can receive care in just minutes. I feel safe here. My family loves to come visit and sometimes we will delay their visit as we are so busy. We are so lucky to have found our new home. Happy-Happy. 😍. [Removed]

A good experience so far

The process for securing an apartment at Atria was handled very professionally. I do think a more organized orientation process (where activities are held, process for securing all keys and mail, dining room rules) would be helpful for all new comers to make them feel at ease. Plenty of activities to maintain a healthy lifestyle. All tenants have been very helpful and friendly. Overall a very good experience for these first two weeks

Very Happy

I'm very happy with the Atria North Point. The facility is very clean. The staff has been great. They are very nice. It has been a positive experience.

very accommodating

The folks at Atria North Point have done an excellent job accommodating our schedule well as well as all of our needs.

One area where they could improve is with the activities. They have a few but they are mainly geared towards less active people.

Great use of space.

What sold us on the complex was the W/D in each unit. In a prior property there were communal W/D's that were either broken or residents forgot to take out their laundry. Also, the walk-in closet, bathroom storage, and bedroom size were all selling features.

Mother's main issues now are: not having staff to draw her into activities, they seem to leave that to fellow residents, which is not working, in her case; and the dining room has a strict dress-code, which does not match her personal taste.

Atria North Point is a feel like home atmosphere and living. They have tons of activities and the food is good. The staff are friendly and always bubbly can put you in a good mood anytime. If my loved one ever needs help then they do and takes really good care of her.

Beautiful place!

I visited this community while looking into care options for a loved one. I thought this was a nice looking place! The facility was beautiful, and I'd really like for the rest of my family to see it as well!

It Is a very nice facility, but has no buy-in option. It is a straight rental with a one-year lease.

So far they are doing really well.

So far they are doing really well. She says the people are all very nice, and she enjoys them. They have been very helpful. She is very happy with 99% of the staff, I think there has only been maybe one person she didn't really click with. Getting adjusted is really the biggest thing for us. It's very clean, and they are taking good care of her. We are very happy with it.

Review of Atria North Point Alzheimer's / Memory Care in Alpharetta, GA

Sent info to parents, father was very impressed. I felt it was a younger property for them, and too large for their needs. Also, the one year lease was the deal breaker.

a change since taing up residence here

I love my apartment and have met and enjoyed many independent residents. However, there is much that should be done to improve the food and the dining service. The pool was out of service for most of the seven months I have been here. The housekeeping service is not thorough nor especially willing to render the service advertised. The rental costs are more than they should be for the value received and we have been notified that the rents are to increase by 5% the first of the year. As this is far more than the cost of living increase and the price is one of the highest of all Independent senior residents already , this could very well demand a move by many of us. There is a lack of central communication. Many of us check on each other when we are aware that one has been ill, or in the hospital or needs just a small favor. This should be provided by the administration, but is not. The staff is friendly and the surroundings most pleasant.

We are very happy with them.

They do quite a bit of stuff, they were a little more expensive than a couple of other places. I liked that they offered services at no charge to help move in. They offer a pretty good variety of activities. I think they could improve by offering like an ice cream social, maybe being a little more creative with the activity choices. My parents seem to love the food, and I've eaten there myself and I thought it was very good. They have cameras in limited areas, and they have a gated entrance.

Loving their new home.

My in laws moved into Atria at Northpoint one month ago. They were very hesitant to make the move. They absolutely live it. They have jumped right in! Their apartment is lovely. More room than the need. They are going to exercise class. Have gone to many of the programs they offer. I don't think they realized how isolated they had become in their own home. They are socializing everyday. Live the restaurant. Have even gone to the hair salon.
The staff at Atria are wonderful. Helpful, entertaining, knowledgeable,
fritndly and welcoming. Great move!

Only the Best

Only the best! I moved my mom from Knoxville to Somerby of Alpharetta because it not only came highly recommended from friends who had done the same for their aging parents, but because it provided everything my mom and I were looking for - a wonderful facility, caring staff, engaging activities, and great residents. For us it was a perfect location - centrally located with great access to 400, doctors, churches, and shopping, but surrounded by trees and the quiet restful sounds of nature. Mom's appartment came with everything she needs - even a washer and dryer, and the layout accommodated her walker when that day came. At 94 she still loves exercising in the pool and Kym and her excellent onsite rehab team were there when she needed them. For us Somerby is elegant, refined, friendly and affordable - the kind of place any son would like his mom to live and thrive.

Would have been great if they needed less care

We really liked this place, the food was absolutely delicious, it was wonderful. The think I didn't like about the place-one of the residents spoke to us about how much he and his wife liked it and how glad they were that they moved here, had my parents been in better health it would have been a good contender- but we just got so limited when we knew that we needed memory care. Regular care would not have been enough for my mother, especially with where she's at now.

Very nice place, only 5 yea...

Very nice place, only 5 years old. Close to north point Mall, next to Verizon amphitheater -- could mean bad traffic on event nights? Close to where i used to work. Offered mom and Dad a couple of nights on the house if they want to check it out. Lots of amenities. Underground parking. Assisted living wing on 2floor open to independent. Smaller than Chambrel. Believe it may be more expensive. 56 assisted living units. Independent occupancy in 92-97% range.

So Far, So Good

We're pretty satisfied. The apartment that my mom moved into, there were things that needed attention that didn't get attention, but the rest of the community is very clean. They're very quick to respond if there is anything wrong or something needs to be fixed. My mom is very satisfied with their meals as far as I know. I think it's too soon for me to comment on their care services or activities becuase my mom has only been there two weeks and hasn't had a change to take advantage of those yet. I can't really think of any negatives. So far, so good!

Like it! Spacious one bedroom and eve...

Like it! Spacious one bedroom and everything is included and indoor pool. Large one bedroom and guest suite. Very nice! Similar to Parc!

Visited this place and found the facility to be quite lovely. The layout was to me a little confusing and I am sure it would be for my mother. They do have alot to offer their residents.

I liked the best. New and very clean. Did not see many people milling around like Chambrel.
