Great Facility for Our Parents

Mom and Dad received a lot of love from the staff. They treated our parents as family and welcomed all of us when we went to visit (5 kids, grand kids and their families, and other relatives). Parents went into Fox Trail at Thanksgiving. Mom ended up in the hospital with a heart condition and passed away. Dad ended up in the hospital a month later with a medical issue. These last few days as dad went from the hospital back to Fox Trail on hospice as his life was winding down, the staff took excellent care of him. They tended him as one of their own, kept him comfortable, fed him ice cream (he couldn't eat) and took care of his needs. They cried with us, prayed with us, and hugged us too. The small size of Fox Trail was a bonus for our parents. Dad had dementia, but Mom didn't, and they would take him for a walk in the hall at night and do activities with him if he kept Mom up, so she could sleep. All of our family was very pleased with the service our parents received while at Fox Trail. I worked in senior care for 20+ years and was very impressed with the facility and staff.

This place is horrible..not fit for a barn animal. The patients are not cared for adequately.

Awful Facility

We placed our loved one in this facility. It has been the biggest mistake we have ever made. While a few staff members are wonderful and have a passion for their profession the majority are AWFUL. They are rude to the residents and familes alike..they hardly speak when walking into the facility.. activities are not conducted for the residents...when addressed with management the response is many residents aren't interested in activities or are unable to participate and it is difficult to conduct activities bc so many residents are high need and belong in a nursing facility.. therefore they require a lot of the staffs time. However a calendar is posted with daily activities. In addition the entire building is consumed with mold...they are currently working to remove it with plastic and huge fans throughout the building. In addition social services has investigated the facility based on recent [Removed] allegations. The list goes on... STAY far away from this's truly terrible!!!!

Skip This One.

I stopped in to tour recently when noticed a group of ladies gathered around that looked like they worked there.

They were talking about the new company that took over and how they hadn't been paid and problems with their pay!

If a company can't pay the people that would take care of my mother - I don't trust the company to take care of my mother.

Not to mention there was an extreme smell of urine in the doorway. I didn't go far but I noticed all the patients sitting in the doorway looking out.

The whole thing was depressing so I am keeping mom at home for now.

Caring and friendly facility

My father was a resident in the Orange facility for 1 month and then was able to be moved to Amerisist of Culpeper which is much closer to family.
The staff at Orange were very friendly and supportive of my father's needs. Tanika the resident manager frequently checked in with my father to make sure the asssisstance he needed was providied and also check on is physical and mental health were staying on track. She noted the same things I did regarding days when he was slightly confused and just not him self. The facility did not hesitate to call me with concerns or questions. I felt comfortable with my father being there.

Very nice

I thought they were lovely, the place is very nice everyone is very friendly. They all met us at the door. There is an outside area for residents and families to use. Overall, it’s a lovely and clean community that I’m glad we found.
