About Grace Joy AFH - University Place, WA

Grace Joy Adult Family Home is a group home for senior citizens as well as younger adults who might need extra attention. The staff at the facility provides exceptional care for dementia patients. There is staff at the facility 24 hours a day, and emergency services are offered. A doctor is on call, and there is a visiting nurse. Several therapists visit the facility including a speech therapist and an occupational therapist. A podiatrist also visits residents. The minimum age to be admitted to the facility is 18. We offer beautifully decorated rooms and delicious meals three times a day. Patients can keep snacks in their rooms as long as they are consistent with the diet set forth by the doctor. Private bathrooms are in the rooms. Transportation is not an issue as we can take residents to doctor's appointments and other outings in the city. Hospice and respite services are provided at the facility. Smoking is allowed outside, and we also welcome pets in the rooms. We know that residents want to feel like they are at home, so we offer outdoor smoking. Our showers are wheelchair accessible. We try to allow residents to move about the facility as freely as possible. There is an area inside as well as outside where residents can talk with each other. The home is located in University Place, Washington. We are surrounded by the beauty of nature in trees. Most of our residents share a room with one other person, but there are private rooms available.
