We moved our mom four times. Most facilities promise a lot but just leave the residents neglected. This is the first experience we have had with personalized touch. We and are very satisfied with the personal care here. The owner goes out of her way to facilitate solutions and will do anything to help. The staff are gentle and caring and the food is real food. I wish we had brough our mom here to begin with.
I would recommend Elsie's Place!
This is a clean spacious care home. The caregivers are wonderful. The owner is amazing and she does everything she can to resolve any issues. They offer some activities. This care home felt more personal when we toured and this is one of the reasons we chose this home.
From the Office

Located in the north section of Raleigh, North Carolina, Elsie's Place is nestled on a nice scenic wooded three acre lot. We offer both private and semi furnished private rooms. Owner and Administrator, Gina Stavredes, is a graduate of Northwest Junior College and a graduate of the University of Alabama-Birmingham with a degree in physical therapy. Elsie’s Place is a family care home in memory of Elsie McDonald, grandmother of Gina Stavredes. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and lived with it for nearly ten years before passing away in 1996. Following the diagnosis and passing of her grandmother, Gina was inspired to enrich the lives of the elderly and to help make the best of their golden years.
With her past experiences, both personal and work related, this home is her way of also helping family members to cope, understand, and enjoy their elderly loved ones during this time in their lives.
