Customer Reviews

Not Enough Interaction Between Residents and Staff!

The Signature Pointe is a new community. It is clean and maintained well. The first impression that I got from the staff was not very good, I didn't see much interaction going on between them and the staff. The residents that I saw were just in their beds in their rooms. It didn't seem there were enough activities going on.

Long Term Skilled Nursing Care

Our father was in Signature Pointe for skilled nursing care for 3 months and we were very unhappy with the care he received. The facility is not clean and had an odor. Hand sanitizer was not available outside of indivdual rooms to prevent spreading of germs. It was extremely under staffed with nurses/aides therefore poor care was given. Meals were brought into our father's room and left on the tray by the window where he couldn't even reach it since he was bedridden. On several occasions we called the nurses station for hours and no one would answer. We would not recommend Signature Pointe to anyone.

poor service won't recommend

I was very disappointed in the care my father received while there. took anywhere from 15 minutes to one time 55 minutes for someone to help him to bathroom. I finally gave up and started taking care of him myself. Most staff concerned more with filling out the paperwork and checking off the "I completed it" block rather than patient care. room cleaning dismal at best. food adaquate at best.

Wayyyyyyyyyyyy over my budget! I am only interested in independent living, if there is a smooth transition to memory care under the same facility.

Checkout means "you're on your own"

my mom just checked out of the rehab facility and we were very disappointed. The staff always seemed very friendly and were initially very attentive. However, once my mom decided she was going to check out and head home, the difficulties began. They would promise to come take care of something and then not do it, which is typical and unfortunate but not completely unexpected in busy situations. On checkout day, we were told the doctor would come that morning to take out the gastric tube. Then promised he would come in at 4pm. At 6pm we finally located him leaving the facility in the parking lot, and he managed to come back in and remove it so she could go home. Thank goodness because we had already taken everything home for her and she was no longer prepared to stay another night. When we got home, the medicines were a mess and the paperwork was difficult to read. When we called and spoke to the nurse at SP, she said she couldn't help us because they get rid of everything on patients when they check out - although it was less than 24 hours after. Medicines should be clearly walked through and explained and they had plenty of time to figure it out. We are hoping we have figured it out well enough to make it through the weekend and going to meet with her personal doctor to make sure we are on the right track. No help there from Signature Pointe.

Friendly, accommodating staff!

Our experience with Signature Pointe has been a very positive one! They were very prompt and helpful in what was a very difficult situation for our family. We were under a real time crunch and they did everything they could to get my loved one moved in and taken care of! The facility is clean and well kept, and we're very happy with the care they are providing!

Renovated beautifully

Older facility that has been renovated beautifully. Staff seem very conscious of cost and look for ways to accommodate our families needs. Skilled nursing unit is very nice. Residents appear well cared for and they look for ways to keep married couples together regardless of differing levels of care. Continuity of care is a big plus for us.

Friendly people

My dad has only been there a short time. He has been so happy there. He has met a lot of friendly people. He loves the food there and he participates in all activities.

Our mother was on the Memory Care floor for several months before she passed away. We were very pleased with her care and her surroundings. The staff treated her like family. We went to visit her every day and were always pleased with the activities that were provided as well as her overall care. Adam Koll is truly an asset to this organization and always went above and beyond expectations with all concerns and requests. All of the team on the Second floor were wonderful not only to our mom, but to all of the other patients as well. I would recommend Signature Pointe on the Lake to anyone that needs assisted living or memory care.

High cost, excellent caring staff, no way for patients in memory care to go outside

The assisted living part, was OK in cost. However,
We just moved away from there two days ago because of value. While the cost at the assisted living section where my parents were at first, was more affordable, on the memory care part, the cost was astronomical.

The people are awesome. The only problem I have is the cost.

Anything we said or asked for, the staff did. We never had to worry about my parents being taken care of. We never had to worry about that. The staff all cared. We never had any run-ins with anybody, all the way from the little lady who greets you when you walk in, to the manager.

On the memory care floor, I would like it if the people could go outside; my parents never got to go outside. Of course one can't just leave the doors open, so someone has to take them.

We've moved them to a different memory care center that is more affordable, and they can go outside, because there is a secure outdoor area for them to walk.

I am very pleased with Signature Pointe. I'm there daily visiting my parents and I really like the facility. The staff is very friendly, and place is clean. The only suggestion I have is for them to have more variety and better tasting food choices.

We're leaning towards this one for respite care. Would be nice if they had Wifi, but that's OK.

Memory care seemed to be morbid. Staff was going through the motions, and in general looked like a warehousing facility. Residents were all in one area, just sleeping or lying around looking sadly bored.
