I love this place caring and loving people work here I would love for more activities but that's ok my parent loves it food is great staff is wonderful always has my parent looking wonderful and happy

Recent changes not positive

This place has gone downhill the past few months. All the old workers have been replace with young people who don't have the compassion, friendliness, or attention of the older employees. My dad has gained 35 pounds in a year on the starchy food. His assistive device for getting out of bed was taken away so he is no longer independent. They have messed up his medications on multiple occasions, administering meds discontinued by doctor, leaving liquids in his room when he's on a liquid restricted diet, and continuing to order meds from Dougs when they had plenty. At his last doctors appointment they failed to have him or his med list ready. He went to the doctor filthy and I made sure the hospital staff knew Oakley Place was responsible. It was embarrassing! We might consider staying if they fired some of the "children " they have hired and get back the competent and caring staff. Don't bring someone you love here!!!

So far we are very pleased with her care and the facility.

So far we are very pleased with her care and the facility. She is doing well. It's met all of our expectations. We haven't had any complaints about food so far. The first time we went to visit, it was late with bad weather, they were very welcoming, and residents were up and snacking, it seemed like a good fit. It smelled good, and every staff member we met were very helpful regardless of the time of day. The cost was all inclusive and affordable for us. We had a loved one that was very concerned about the move, and after having seen it, he was convinced as well.

They are doing a pretty good job.

They are doing a pretty good job. So far, any concerns that have come up, have been addressed with the staff, right away. I wouldn't say the food is the greatest, they are heavy on the carbohydrates, and low on the fruits and vegetables. Other than that it's going okay.

Caregivers were good, had some difficulties

My loved one was only here briefly before she passed, but I feel like the caregivers did a good job of keeping her comfortable. They were very friendly, caring, and kind. We did have one issue that I wasn't pleased about, in the location she was in previously they had suggested using a syringe as method of squirting small amounts of water for her to drink, which worked well, but this location would not let us use that method. They said it was against state regulations, but couldn't provide any paperwork to show that when we asked them.
