Assisted living home

Assisted Living not Retirement. Clueless new manager who talks down to residents.
Corporate leader doesn’t care . Stay away!!!

In transition. Very dated and worn. Renovation and update scheduled but not until this coming year. Too late for my needs.

Thanks for reminding me.

Just got a call from [name removed] to see if we were still looking for a place for my mother. We had already rented a place there then had to turn keys in due to her declining health. My mother then passed on memorial day, so there is an obvious lack of communication among the staff here.

No cons, all pros.0

So far, there are no negatives. Staff has been excellent.

Out of date

Very run down, going up the drive way looks pretty rough and the landscaping? Well not much. Inside there is a musty smell, out of date furniture. Looking at more updated facilities.

Poor residents

Very out of date. Management well seems lost...seems like there is no system there. and everyone seems irritated or just grumpy. What is going on?? Not going to put my grandpa there. Disappointing, itis very nice outside though, nice views.

Hi Steven, we are sorry to see the 2 star review on Echo Ridge. We value all feedback we receive and are always looking for ways to improve for both residents and guests. Please reach out to our management team to further discuss your experience. Thank you!

Echo Ridge lovely

Food is great! Kitchen staff and chef are amazing and funny. That’s what my aunt needs: activities and entertainment are fun and just what she is looking for. Management does seem a bit out of the picture. But staff makes up for it.

Love this place for my dad!

Best food! Head chef is excellent and staff is great! Fun friendly atmosphere. My dad loves it here.

My mom's care

The care of this community is wonderful and caring. The staff are always letting me know on her. They have a nice community and I like knowing that she is happy with the good variety of healthy meals. The offer my mom to participate in the activities with the other residents and she is willing to participate. I would recommend this community to other families want good care and a nice value.

Things are going pretty well

The staff I have met seem friendly and the one I speak to the most was helpful. Dad does not like the food especially on the weekends as they offer things such as hot dogs and sandwiches. They do offer trips out. The community is kept clean and they do offer cleaning services for the apartments. This community is in a good location for him.

Pleasant Tour of The Community

I toured this community for my mother, and her needs. My tour went well overall, and this is a nice community. The community looked nice, and from what I saw everything appeared to be well maintained. The experience went well overall.

My Mother has Adjusted Well to This Community

I'am comfortable with my mothers move to this community. Everything is working out well, and she is doing well. This is a nice, safe community. They have nice staff, and they have been very kind, and friendly. There are activities offered for the residents when they are ready to participate. She has adjusted well to this community, and I would recommend it.

They Are What We Wanted

It is going as expected and we happy with them. My dad is a resident at this community. He is participating in the activities that are planned. The meals are good. His room is get cleaned often. I would recommend them to family and friends.

A caring community

This was a nice tour. We liked the room and it had a comfortable community. It did not have the assistance we needed for my mom. The activities would have been offered to the other residents. Families might want to consider a tour for the care of a loved one.

Dad Loves His New Home!

We recently moved our 96-year-old father to the Echo Ridge Senior Living apartment complex. With the help and support of the great staff and friendly residents Dad has adjusted very quickly and is thriving in his new, more social environment.

The dining and community features are top notch and the grounds are lovely. There are many different programs for folks of all different interests. Wonderful local performers come to Echo Ridge and entertain the residents with their musical talents. There are classes, Bible study groups, and singing get-togethers weekly.
There is a work-out room and handy laundry facilities.
My brother and I have decided to keep Echo Ridge in mind for our own later retirement years!

Dad has only been living at Echo Ridge for a month but it is already starting to feel like home to him. He has his World War II picture (along with a recent photo that staff member Holly took of him) on the Echo Ridge "Wall Of Honor" where photos of residents that are military veterans are displayed. Dad was so proud--and at his age his years of service are the earliest of all the resident veterans posted. We really appreciate that Echo Ridge wants to honor our beloved veterans!

Thanks to all the great Echo Ridge staff and residents my precious father has a safe and happy environment in which to enjoy his senior years.

I haven't moved in yet since my apartment needed some extensive renovating which is nearly done. But I am impressed with the personal attention, the willingness of the staff to accomodate my needs, and the beauty of the surrounding area. I look forward to all the activities and to having my meals prepared for me each day.

We love it!

So far everything is going great. The community is clean and neat. My mother in law likes the food and has no complaints. We liked that they offer a lot of things to do with the residents. We really are glad that she is here.

Outstanding staff and beautiful community!

We toured this community when looking for my father. The lady who works with incoming residents is outstanding. She was very welcoming and proactive. We really liked the way the community looked aesthetically but our main draw back was the distance it was to his doctors and family. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We love it!

Mom is doing great and she loves it. We love the community as well. Now mom has people that she can talk to and hang out with. Everyone is very attentive to the residents and they know everyone on a first name basis.

A comfortable place.

This community offered mom a respite stay so she could decide if she liked it and wanted to stay. The food is good and they keep the community clean. She has a very nice room with a door that leads to the outside. She has five large windows in her room that she likes. There is a lot of green grounds for the residents and their families to enjoy. The marketing director and the staff I have met have been helpful and friendly. They make mom feel like she belongs there.

Been here for two weeks and so far everything has been very nice.

The only thing I have a problem with is I moved in on a Sunday, was given my keys, and told I could move in
That was the only contact I had with the staff. No move in handbook or formal information at all. No one has been by to check if I got moved in okay or to say welcome.
Now don't misunderstand, I have made the best of It, gone to meals and met many nice residents. I am very satisfied and will enjoy living here.

The staff think dad is the greatest person!!

I am very pleased with this community the staff at Echo Ridge are nice and keep us updated on how dad is doing. The food is ok but they have made a change in the chef and the food is improving according to the residents. We are looking forward to how he does in the long run as he has nothing but positive things to say about the community.

managment couples were lovely and very professional. The lady that toured me was wearing jeans and boots???ativities seem really out of date. Looking for something fun. But nice place.

Thank you,

pretty darn good

Most of my experience with Echo Ridge has been really good. The company does mislead you a little bit when talking to you about what to expect. For instance, we understood that there would be more time for the driver to take us to various places throughout the week. There have been a couple of things like that, but otherwise it has been a good experience. Very clean nice place and excellent friendly staff.

So far so good. Have not been here very long.

Do not Accept the vacate clause in the contract.

During my Mothers stay at Echo Ridge we had a very nice experience until her needs changed and we had to seek other alternatives. The Echo Ridge facility was well maintained, the food service was great and the staff was very nice and helpful until we were forced to relocate my Mother to an assisted living facility.
My mother began having issues relative to her personnel carry, medicines and her mobility. She actually left the center and walked about three blocks and fell. The local service station attendants helped her and when they saw here ID she was returned to Echo Ridge. I tell this because it was the beginning of Mom starting to need daily assistance. None of this was the responsibility of Echo Ridge and is not a complaint. Jan 4 she fell in her apartment and had to be taken by ambulance to the Hospital. There she was diagnosed with the flu. From the hospital I took her to my home to provide her the daily care she required. This is when it became obvious she was needing assistance in several areas. This was confirmed by her Doctor. From Jan. 4 to the 15th I was in constant contact with Echo Ridge personnel and confirmed she was in need of more assistance. On the 15th I gave them a written notice and assumed that would start the 30 day vacate notice period. I was prepared to vacate the apartment by the end of Jan. This is when I found out I would be required to pay through the end of Feb. So from Jan 4 to Feb 28 we have not used the apartment or the services. I emailed the corporate office for a discussion but got no replies. The local people did not consider providing relief on the payments even though they were very aware the situation was beyond the services they could provide. My point is that with the recent changes, the compassion that I recognized earlier on seems to have been replaced with other priorities. The facilities are very nice but the latest changes are in question. I would not recommend accepting the vacate clause in the contract as vacating most likely will be unpredictably. The 30 day notice is thirty days from the beginning of the next month. Not 30 calendar days. In our case we have had to pay for almost 60 days when vacating was due to medical and health reasons not being available at Echo Ridge.

Friendly, helpful staff

They've done a great job so far at Echo Ridge. There was some really good personalized service right when they moved in to help get them acclimated to the community. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the staff continue to be very friendly and helpful.

Horrific experience. .management is cold.

Could not ask for more. Excellent facility and staff

After talking with a Place for Mom and checked out Echo Ridge and was pleasently surprised to see the facility.
The staff was very helpful in explaining the services provided . The facilities were top notch with virtually no need for anything more. The dining facilities, the menu and service were great. They worked hard to see that our available budget could work.

When I walked in to tour, the people there were so great, I just knew it was the right place.

I looked around at other places and I was happy with the value they offered. They really worked with us on the pricing. There is something going on all the time and the people participate in the activities, they aren't just sitting around. It seems to me that they have a really high management turnover. They have all been great, but just when you start to really get to know them they are gone and there is someone new. Also, the food could be better. They have an on-site hair salon, housekeeping and transportation. When I walked in to tour, the people there were so great, I just knew it was the right place. My mom moved 60 miles from the home she lived in for 47 years. She moved to Echo Ridge in August and has already developed many friendships and is very happy. And that makes the rest of the family happy.

They have housekeeping once a week. They take their bus of twenty to see the plays at the theatre. They do three full meals a day in the dining room, and the food is very good, a five out of five. I suppose you can always have more activities and events scheduled. We looked at five different places and he knew that this is where he wanted to be. The people that were living there, when we visited were very nice and seemed happy and excited to have him there.

This Holiday Retirement Community seemed a bit better run and looked spiffier. We met three of the management people, one of whom was a regional marketer, because they are at only 77% occupancy right now. Sherrill Hills has recruited some of their residents. Again there was no take-away marketing packet, but did receive a sample menu and monthly activity schedule as we did at the sister community in Chattanooga. Here we were able to see a sample of each of the two bedroom apartments for which we were not able to see any two bedroom apartments in Chattanooga. Continuing care is done on a subcontract basis at extra cost to the provider agency. The grounds a quite nice.

Nice Independent Living

It's an independent place and that's something that is good for people who don't really need the assistance that I do. They do have meals and the rooms were nice. Some of them had balconies and the whole place felt newer.
