Somewhat crowded, dark feeling, kitchen cluttered. No privacy, limited parking and outdoor sitting space. No signage. Room for garden & animals. Loved the guineas and view of the pasture. Not what we were looking for.
Our home was built in 1986 by family members specifically to take care of others. We took this home over in 2001 to continue to care for others and we are rated one of the best homes in McLennan County. Our staff includes myself,my husband, and two attendant. We also have a paramedic that lives onsite.
I offer a place in the country that is quite as well as providing a safe environment. We are family oriented and do our best to not be an institution. Many of our residents have been here since we've opened, 10 years ago.
We have nurses that come out 2-3 times a week, a medical doctor that comes to our home every month, and if some of our residents need physical therapy and general nursing care, a home health care agency sends them to our home.
We have a church right up the road for the residents who wish to go to services on Sunday. Transportation to and from the church is available. Some of the residents even go to an Adult Day Care, and others have days in which they want to go shopping and out to eat We feel that our residents become part of our family when they come live with us.
