Beautiful home nestled in the foothil...

Beautiful home nestled in the foothills and close to both me & my brother. Clean, well decorated and large back yard. This is the only home I have visited that has THREE caregivers on staff M-F and two on the weekends. Caregivers are well rested, alert, energetic, and interact with the residents to a higher degree. They seem to enjoy their job and truly care for the residents, AND there are no language barriers. There is a feeling of family and ALIVESS that I have not experienced at other homes. There is a high level of interaction and attention between the caregivers and the residents. The available shared room is large with its own bathroom. The only drawback is that they do not give haircuts or take to dr appts, but the Director said he could arrange for transportation for dr visits for a per hour fee. Took mom over to the home to see her reaction. The caregivers were getting her to interact with other residents. One man is Hungarian and mom started speaking Hungarian to him, although he couldn't hear her. It was really cute! They even gave her some ice cream. She seemed really comfortable and I know she would not feel isolated or lonely there. I have full confidence in the quality of care they provide. They are truly on the ball! The Director let me know he was able to secure someone to transport her to dr visits. I am almost certain this is where I am going to move her. He owns two senior homes and also an agency that places foster children. He stressed that he does not do this for the money but as a service to God and that he would not do this unless he could give the residents the best possible care.
