Customer Reviews

Very friendly, informative manager and staff. Enjoyed the tour of property and rooms/facilities. They have an enjoyable-looking activities program & people are friendly there as we went along our tour, which is what I'm looking forward to. [Name removed] says they plan to re-do rooms a little at a time, altho they look just fine to me now, with plenty of options. Well kept grounds. I love the pond with ducks! Provided me with info on help/aid I could receive from Vet's Admin., much appreciated.

Poorly Maintained

My mother has been resident for 2 years and the facility has visibly declined. Common areas dirty; windows seldom cleaned and cobwebs linger for weeks. Outside has not been cleaned in over a year. Water shut off 6+ times in one year. However, activities are good and food is excellent.

A Good and Quick Move In

For the most part the community has been a good fit for my parents. My mom is getting involved with activities and my dad is still settling in and he is not really enjoying the meals. Their apartment is a little bit small but it is enough for them. The facility is clean and when I recently popped in the cleaners did a pretty good job. The kitchen sink could have been a little better but they usually do a good job.

Positive experience so far!

Everything is going fine. The food is delicious and they feed me too much! I like my apartment and I'm still moving things around to where I like them.

A positive experience!

My loved ones are doing very well since their move into The Atrium. We have not experienced anything negative, and everyone there is very friendly. I would recommend this community to anyone looking.

The entire staff were wonderful!!

The community is clean. They offer various activities. I was only there for about 2 months when I had to leave due to family issues. I am having an issue with the billing and not getting any response from the corporate office. The executive director is the only one that I found that has no people skills. I did make good friends there and I enjoyed my stay. I do feel the food is high in sodium.

Friendly staff

The staff is friendly here. They are professional and they seem caring. The residents don't seem to really talk to each other much. I think that more activities would probably solve this problem. The facility is nice and roomy and has always been clean when I've visited. The food could definitely be better.

elevator

My complaint about the Atrium would have to be that there is only one elevator. I like elevators and would really have liked better if there was another elevator when they built there building!

It's an old building that needs updating. The property is very nice and accommodating. The only drawback is that they only have 1 elevator. It would be nice if they had 2. They take a head count at dinner and if you're not there they will call your room to check on you and if you don't answer they will come up to your room.

good shape

They are very good. The place is in good shape. She doesn't like the transportation because she doesn't have enough time to finish in the stores. She grumbles about the good.

Improve on Food and Friendliness

The Atrium at Carmichael can improve on their food that they serve for all the meals and they can also improve on the friendliness of the staff at the front desk. I gave them a four - star rating overall.

I Would Recommend Them

The reason I gave it a 4-star for the overall rating is because they are doing a lot of renovation, so in a year it should be excellent. It has not fully transitioned into a senior living facility yet, but as far as the apartments I think they are great and roomy and clean. And as far as the friendliness, my mother said the people mostly stick to themselves, so I think they should have some more activities to kind of bring them together more. Other than that everything is great, I would recommend them.

Staff is very friendly

I thought it was very well designed and the staff was very friendly, so it was very comfortable. My mother is in transition, so it's hard to know how she'll handle things in the long run, but I think she'll do well there. The staff is helpful during this time.

good experience

It has been a good experience with The Atrium at Carmichael. It is a lot better than what I had before.

mom really enjoys it

There's not really anything I can think of that the people at The Atrium at Carmichael can do to improve. Mom is really enjoying it there, and has made some really good friends. Overall it has been a very good positive experience, and one we would highly recommend.

Lovely place

This was a very nice looking place. It was very clean, and the staff we met seemed friendly. However, this location was solely independent living, and my loved one was in need of some care. We would definitely have considered this place if we were looking for independent living options!

Great community of residents

It's independent living, no assisted living or skilled nursing but it's been home to my mom for awhile. Its a palce I would certainly recommend without any reservation whatsoever. She's on her own but whatever she needs they take care of. They feed her in the dining room, she has her buds that she spends time with and they have all kinds of activities that she partakes in. Before she moved there she was living by herself and wasn't doing real well, she didn't like cooking for one, but now she gets fed and doesn't worry. You can have pets, she doesn't, but the other people there all love her and they look out for each other.
