When we drove up we weren't overly impressed with the outside of the house, very average and needing some fixing up, but when the manager opened the door we were met with so much warmth and friendliness. The house was extremely clean, no hidden smells, and open. The entire place was uncluttered and had a lot of room to move around in. The manager stated all meals were prepared by her or the other caregivers and there was a large range of styles of cooking, including Filipino style, spaghetti, and hot dogs. The room was small, but had a decent closet and she stated we could rearrange it however we chose and could use Mom's furniture or what she had. There was a brand new lift chair in the room in addition to the bed. While small it could be workable. The house seemed very serene. The manager spent about an hour with us getting to know my mother and asking questions. I felt very comfortable with her. The house is on a fairly quiet street and there is a nice park right next to the house. The only drawback other than the smallness of the room is the lack of transportation.
