Like Family

Everyone has been so welcoming to my Aunt! I have yet to speak to any resident that does not like it there, they often say they only wish they had moved there sooner! My Aunt loves the on-site chapel, meals, helpful employees and her apartment to name a few. We thought this would be a rough move given Auntie had been in her home for 81 years! She was nervous and we comforted her and gently pushed her over the finish line. We knew she would adapt and love it in time, but in just two days she was so very happy to be there! We visited many very places, this one was special. We narrowed down to two and had Auntie decide. It was an easy decision for her. We are all so happy.

We have no complaints

Mom is still adjusting to living at this community. They offer plenty of daily activities. She gets a calendar of the activities for the month. The food is decent and looks good. The staff are very nice and helpful. They keep the community clean and I would recommend it.

Nice tour

Our tour of this community was positive. Nothing negative to say.

Nice Place But Not A One Level Place

On my tour I got to see the community and thought they were fine. I had seen a room that was to far for my mom to walk to the dining room. The facility has long hallways with elevators. It is a good community but I was looking for a place with an easy walking layout. I had a good tour and they were all good just not the right fit.

Highly Recommend this Community

This is a great community, and my mother is doing well since her move to this community. She has adjusted well to it, and everything is working out very well so far. The community is very well-kept. They even clean in Sundays. The marketing woman was very helpful. She was very informative, and kind. The front desk staff is very kind, and knows my name whenever I come to visit. This community is working out very well for us. I would highly recommend it.

Home

Feels like home For my mom and I was a great experienceand I recommend it dearly

Northpoint, House of Horrors!

My 94 year old aunt was placed there, against her wishes. She was treated like a prisoner. Her niece had her declared incompetent. She attempted to hire an attorney, BEFORE the competency hearing, and NORTHPOINT would not ALLOW her attorney access to see her. She did NOT have a guardian at the time. The food was terrible, half of the items on the menu were not available, like fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, etc. The staff , for the most part, were rude, did not appear to care about the residents, and made it extremely difficult for visitors. They allowed her phone to be taken away, cutting off all communication with her loved ones. She returned to Northpoint after falling on the wet tile after a shower, which had no non skid strips in the shower, accepted her back, in a hospital gown in an ambulance, never notified the kitchen that her meals had to be brought up. Thank GOD the kitchen was notified, or she would have starved. [Removed]. She was so terrified of another attack, that she tied a belt from the door handle, to her refrigerator door to block access. In stead of promoting independence, they, did everything for here, leading to her declining. I could go on and on, but I would not let them board my dog! It is nothing but a House of Horrors if your loved one has dementia or any other memory issues They burst into the rooms, after 2 taps on the door, give you no privacy whatsoever. The owner/operator will go through mail and personal effects, while your loved one is out of inth the dining area, they would remove items and days, maybe weeks later, the item will "magically reappear". It make your loved one think they are losing their minds, which aids the money hungry [Removed] family guardian, gain even more control over the resident. Unlicensed assisted living facilities are death traps and should be avoided at all costs, especially, Northpoint! [removed] Please, if you care about your loved one, watch this story on the link provided. I beg you, to please watch it before you decide to place your loved one in an UNLICENSED facility!

Very nice looking place

Out of all of the communities that I have went to tour, this one is my top choice. A big deciding factor was how responsive, helpful, and friendly the staff is. I have found out that all communities are pretty costly, but Northpoint feels like my Mom will get the care that she needs and deserves. I noticed a few activities while I was there, I did not really pay attention as my Mom is not very sociable and probably will not join in. I was pleased when an incident happened and the staff handled it with care and respect, the way that I would have handled it myself. Another big deciding factor was the fact that once I do move my Mom, I do not want to have to move her again. Northpoint seems more then willing to work with me on this. Right now I have nothing but positive things to say about Northpoint, and I do hope that after my Mom has been there for a few months I will still feel this way.

This Caring Staff Makes All the Difference

From the moment I walked into Northpoint Village to visit until now, it has been my pleasure to work with the staff of this Senior Living Center. My mother-in-law is 92 and was in need of a new place to live. She had been spending her days sitting on her couch, with very little interaction with other people, and was no longer cooking. While Meals on Wheels is a fine service, it should not be the only meal for a senior citizen. She is now looking forward to activities every day, has her meals provided for her, and is attended to whenever she needs it by a friendly, caring staff. I can't say enough about this staff. They know all of the residents and genuinely care about them. There is always a friendly smile and offer to help from them, and I know that when we are not there, she is very well taken care of. I think that they are the reason she decided to stay, because, of course, we promised that she could always go back home. She is not even considering it now, and it has only been about 6 weeks. She feels at home, is healthier and happier and is there to stay! The staff's caring has made all the difference for her.

It's a great place for the elderly parents.

They could get a little bigger portions and more variety in the meals. I liked the location and what they had to offer for the price. The people are very nice and attentive. It's a great place for the elderly parents. I find that I don't have to worry.

One thing I liked about the place is that it is family owned and family members work there. If it isn't too big a difference in price,we may go with this place.

Not number one choice

This was really nice, it also was clean and updated, it had the closet space and living space she needed and it did not feel like an old persons house. The food was good, the dining room was ncie but we like the food at Town Village better.

The apartments were small. The surrounding area was not appealing. Just parking lots for the shopping center. Although I must admit the interior was pleasing.
