The staff was friendly and the place looked clean, though a bit worn and dark. Location is not good . . . busy with traffic, no easy areas for the residents to walk and enjoy the outside, and it was obvious that at least a couple of homeless people were camped out just on the other side of the fence. Only two residents were out of their rooms at 2 p.m., and both were asleep. The caregiver we talked to seemed to really like her job and care about the residents. But it was apparent that this facility is better suited for residents who are not high functioning. There would not be enough social interaction for my mom.
My grandmother was a resident here and was under hospice care for part of her stay. These folks are as good and gentle as it gets. This is the kind of place that you hope for, but seldom is the reality you find. They are always baking and engaging residents in conversation around the dining table. Really a lovely home environment and they provide a luxury showering experience . Your loved one's hygiene and happiness are a priority with these Angels on Earth
