Customer Reviews

Willing to Work With Dementia Patients

My mother has been in this facility for only 5 days, so it's difficult to give a rating based on such a short time. So far the owner & staff seem friendly & helpful. They are willing to work with a dementia patient & are respectful of the person's wants & needs. This is a huge plus where my mother is concerned because many places that claim to have clearance to handle dementia patients, in fact don't. The previous facility my mother was at was horrible when it came to offering respect & understanding dementia issues.
This isn't a fancy home, it's very bare bones. But the treatment my mother receives is much more important than the facade of the environment.

From the Office

Home care assistants are expected to make their patients' lives easier and more comfortable. Their duties may include transporting patients to doctor's appointments, making beds, doing laundry, preparing meals, giving patients their medications or running errands. They may change the patient's bandages, check vital signs or simply apply lotion to dry skin areas. Some light cleaning may also be part of the job of a home care assistant, even if only to maintain sanitary conditions in the home environment.
